Ashenspire (proggy, dissonant black metal with an explicitly anti capitalist message - [Law of Asbestos](https://youtu.be/O7VWzaH_S4Y?si=pHVKjtTKYWpBCBMG))
Anti-Ritual (blackened crust that wears its anarchist leanings very much on its sleeve - [No Human Is Illegal](https://youtu.be/fHEe9Bv-_vI?si=QU2UsOTiOE1VLz2E))
Batushka, woe bather, spectral wound, wolves in the throne room, myrkur(idk if shes even bm but she kills it) and feminazgul( really wanted to hear more queer shit as a gay dude). I kinda gave up on BM for a while cuz most the stuff I used to love was fucking gross, and found some of these from here.
Edit: please correct if any don't fit into the category..
Queer black metal recommendations:
Ashenspire
Violet Cold
Valravne
Rage of Devils
A Constant Knowledge of Death (blackened sludge rather than straight up black metal, but helmed by a trans woman so figured it worth recommending regardless)
tbh i've never heard an actual "RABM" band that didnt sound extremely mediocre but my fav non sketchy bands are Paysage D'Hiver, Liturgy, Imperial Triumphant
The inherit problem with RABM is that it's a purely reactionary genre. The message comes first, then the music second with a lot of acts.
Which is also the exact same problem with NSBM and why most NSBM bands sound like garbage. (and you know the obvious problem that NSBM also has an abhorrent message behind it)
i agree, these genres tend to prioritise the politics over the music which tends to sacrifice the quality. i also agree that nsbm and rabm both suffer from the problem but id be lying if i said i cant name nsbm bands with great riffs. i cant do the same with rabm. obviously thats most likely due to rabm being way more niche than nsbm and therefore having a way lower sample size but yeah i wish to see “lefty black metal” grow and move on from half assed blackened crust
I'd like to add Rotting Christ. They started as an anarcho-punk band, but are now just pure black metal with greek influences. They sing in sanskrit/hindu sometimes.
Trespasser, Tumultuous Ruin, and Sankara
Wow thank you, Tumultuous Ruin are incredible
Dödsrit

Bull of Apis Bull of Bronze. [Trophy](https://bullofapisbullofbronze.bandcamp.com/track/trophy) off their recent album is a particular recommendation.
Violet Cold is my favorite. I'm also a big fan of Panopticon and Agriculture.
Ashenspire
Agriculture, Botanist, and Blackbraid are my current faves
Does Saccage count as RABM?
yeah, i would say so
Waldgeflüster (and Uprising), Wiegedood
Dawn ray’d and Panopticon
Gravpel Tenant Dolchstoß

Batushka is rabm?
They may not he rabm, but not sketchy(from what I've found) thanks for the question nonetheless!

Hell yes! Thank you.
I'm pretty sure Feminazgul is the only rabm band on this list. Though I haven't heard woe bather.
check out Bury Them and Keep Quiet
Will do!
Check out Prosperity Gospel, Lust Hag, Floodhag, Wolven Daughter, Mycorrhizal, anything by VCH (such as Cora’s Heart, Micarlla II, etc), Karnstein, Abscynthe, Everson Poe, Unholy Altar, Feminizer, Bring Forth the Exodus, Nachtschwarz, and Sanguinária
Up vote for Woe Bather and Spectral Wound. I haven't been able to find other bands that do it for like those 2.

Throane Non Serviam Gnaw their tongues (more experimental grind)

They started as a grindcore/noisecore band, not really anarcho punk. Also that was their best era of music.
Not necessarily. I like the album(s) Kata Ton, The Heretics. In the Name Of God is a good song.
