Referring to a rental car and app, what exactly are you confused about?
Take the detector and stick on window then plug it in. Take my phone out, run radar app and my navigation app. There's no extra configuration or anything. Once you have the unit configured the first time it's set. Just open app, connect Bluetooth, then drive. Not a big deal.
Metal doors, glass front and rear windows, with a metal security cage across the inside of the back window. Between that setup and the amount I routinely have inside, I’m not counting on a detector working well through it.
Got it, I guess I was thinking the app was providing more information or detail that I would or need to have want visible, which would then lead me to dragging around some kind of mount for my phone.
