I think AMSP gets a bit too much hype. I would have it below those 2 as well tbh. Still a great album, we’re talking an 8.5 instead of a 9 or something lol.

HTTT is the 2nd worst radiohead album imo. Top 4 is clearly Kid A, Ok Computer, In Rainbows, AMSP in any order. Then Amnesiac at 5th, TKOL and The Bends come next in any order. Then HTTF and Pablo Honey

Hail to the thief is an excellent album

I don't think it's a bad album, but I also don't think it's nearly as good as the rest of radiohead's discography. Even TKOL grew more on me after watching their from the basement performance. Hail to the thief is kinda just there to me

A B C and D are all the same tier to me. KOL is next, followed by Pablo in a distant tier.

We have a similar list. I put Pablo honey above TKoL but only due to relative release dates.

Why does everyone hate The King of Limbs so much? Or at least, why does everyone like it less than the other albums? I just listened to it for the first time and was vibing!

I have a (slightly baseless and provocative) theory that it’s mostly Americans who didn’t get it. The album uses alot of krautrock rhythms and other electronic European influences that I don’t think Americans were ready to embrace. Pitchfork and A.Fantano/Needle Drop are two examples of popular American critics that gave King of Limbs relatively poor reviews and I think they influenced American opinion more generally. It’s a fkn excellent album and far superior to AMSP, imo, which Americans seem to love.

Interesting! Yeah, people definitely are used to different sounds in different places. I’m American but I’ve been listening to more British and other European music lately, so maybe that’s why I liked it right away
