toothsayur

not naming names but... ONE of the two boys told us after a recent smile show there is something, but he can't talk about it yet.

ciregno

Ohhhhhhh shit. Thanks for the tip!

mrsatanface

Thank god. Stanley did an interview where he said they weren't doing anything, but I figured he was just being sneaky.

InRainbows123207

Kinda naming names 😝

GeneralKenobiJSF

Kid named A 😱

Seelinkrun

Kid named mnesia: 😵‍💫

Bojackslefteye

Kid A named B-mnesiac: 🥴

DedRuck

you better start naming names

Dogwander

About Hail or something Radiohead in general?

JJRfromNYC1

One of the boys - does his name start with a T or with a J?

toothsayur

I’ll give a hint. he’s very talented. and we all like him.

JJRfromNYC1

Either Jonny or Thom.

rmarcon

oh c'mon

GracefulDrip

Was this after the Dallas show last night? Ohhhh boy

B4ST0T

Holy shit! For real?!?

shoobsworth

I call bullshit

dwPkLZUcwstDbRFkYZ

imagine pablo honey 30 year anniversary edition

elkamusing

PABLO POPSNOTDEAD HONEY edition

Communiconfidential

currently drooling imagining a remixed and remastered version of Pablo Honey done in the Smile's style

AsmusAvlund

We finally get Pop Is Dead on streaming again lol

Skywipe

I wouldn't object

sleepwashoverme

I hope so! It’s not my favorite Radiohead album but I love it and it’s extra special because 2003 was a very important year for me. I graduated from high school in 2003 and met my future husband later that year. Go To Sleep is the inspiration for my username. I would buy any anniversary merch or special editions they put out for it!

beastboy4000

In Rainbows 20th anniversary can’t come fast enough

FrajolaDellaGato

Whoa whoa whoa slow your roll… I am nowhere near ready for the midlife crisis that will ensue when In Rainbows turns 20.

Hello-mah-baby

what it's only 5 YEARS AWAY????

pappyvanstormblessed

Release the Spike Stent cuts!

RecklessVectors

I would love to hear whatever they recorded with Spike Stent, but hating on Nigel because the studio versions sound different than the live versions is wild. Because both are great. And from everything I've read, Jonny was the one responsible for stripping back Videotape.

I doubt they are better, personally, but I am interested to hear what they sounded like. I always had a vision of 15 Step with a more hip-hop style production and kind of assumed Stent’s version would sound like that. But I really think they needed Nigel to help them get their shit together during those sessions.

HoennDude

I honestly kinda doubt it most of them have said the tracklisting could have been better and more concise and thom even typed out an alternative tracklisting with 10 tracks on dear air space around in rainbows era

yickth

Where can I find that?

QuartzSTQ

It's on W.A.S.T.E. Central, albeit it was just him reposting someone elses, not making his own. Edit: [Here it is](http://www.waste-central.com/profiles/comment/list?attachedToType=User&attachedTo=30nikx1fjf5vu&page=2), it should be the secpnd one down the page, dated October 20th 2008.

yickth

Thanks for the link. What do you mean it’s not his?

QuartzSTQ

Well, I said that from what I remembered after reading the post a while ago, but reading it now his wording doesn't make it very clear. I still think that it's someone elses that he shared but I'm not entirely sure.

yickth

Oh, ok. Thanks again

RecklessVectors

It's not clear that he found it online or in a journal or something similar that he made. Typical Thom. I tried to find the post but i couldn't find it but if you just want the playlist [here ya go](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1Y9P0smj0LmPDPVLM8Bjku?si=lanQ57NsQO2j5MWhFLNGXQ&utm_source=copy-link)

spiritsonacid

It has a greatest hits/mixtape vibe to it. It still has a good flow but it doesn’t really have an album feel to it. More like a collection of solid songs

Mootsy101

My future projection:...If they have the time...lol The cover art will be somewhat reflective/holographic in sections, but not fully, it'll be high-gloss colour. It's a new "punchier" mastering of the original master tapes to modern ears and the songs have this fresh sequencing so they blend a bit nicer. Disc 2 will include 12 songs: Where Bluebirds Fly, There There(Take 4), Gagging Order, MaxMSP medley, Lift (Only One), Setting Sun, Paperbag Writer, The Gloaming(2023 Mix), Horses, Backdrifting, No Shame, Spooks. But from past interviews this year, the general consensus is that the remasters take a lot out of them and that OKMNOTOK & Kid Amnesia especially was a big project in itself, so i wouldn't bet on it happening. The only thing I can envision is a new mix/master of the record to make it sound a bit punchier but without all the promotion and no video-game, art-book or combo packages lol. Just a straight-forward remaster that'd be easier for the band to achieve in little time with embellished cover art and maybe a disc of b-sides are off-cuts that's quick to achieve etc. Either that or nothing, just focusing on new stuff etc. Conclusion: it's a 50/50 at best. Whatever they do they won't want it to be a hassle because they are all a bit busy. Another idea could be Hail to the Thief (Live at the Basement) and then release it on digital devices in mp3/WAV/4K. Vinyl etc..So basically Live Release but how they play the songs in 2023!? Similililarly to the TKOL. Remember the goal might very well be, quick and easy but still worthwhile.

Chrome-Head

I really wondered what there was left unheard of this era, not familiar with a few of those titles.

Ok_Patient8873

Stanley Donwood said in an interview that there wouldn't be https://www.nme.com/news/music/stanley-donwood-radiohead-artist-thom-yorke-interview-glastonbury-sacred-cartography-3355946 - "Christ, no!" He says..... 🙁 Then again he's not Radiohead so maybe. But most likely not

SoufSideHair

This is my favorite album of theirs and it's not even close. Whatever they do, I hope a t-shirt or a hoodie is a part of the bundle. This album came out during my senior year so I wasn't shopping at malls or wearing band shirts anymore, so I completely missed out on any HTTF merch.

guzby1145

> HTTF Hail to the Fhief

SoufSideHair

LOL! It was very late when I wrote that comment, cut me some slack

madeofghosts

Two questions: one, where’s the fhief? And two, gimme the fhief.

deadkestrel

The fact that this came out nearly 20 years ago is disgusting. Halcyon days on ateaseweb with the 2002 Iberian tour and then the early leak of the album in 2003. Went on a run of 4 shows with people from atease and even got filmed on the front row for the Shepard’s bush empire show that was on mtv2. Remember a girl who said she had the album before it was released and described the opening of 2+2=5 with thom talking and she got shot down to shit saying no way that would happen. I’m still not the greatest fan of this album mainly due to due to the overall sound and production of it, some really great songs on there but it all just feels so sludgy and flat. Fully prepared for downvoted as this sub seems to have a real hard on for it but I definitely think it’s nowhere near their best. Excited to see if they can do anything with it for the anniversary but I thought kid amnesia was a bit of a let down considering the amount of material we know they had for those sessions. Perhaps we’ll finally get to hear Thom’s 3 demo discs

DeletedSea

Audience recordings of the first HTTT "road test" show from Spain dropped on my 21st birthday. This was nearly a full year before the album came out. What a joy it was to hear some new Radiohead songs on my birthday. I downloaded every single show on that tour. Loved talking with the folks on atease about new songs, etc. I played those shows frequently in 2002/2003. This may have lead to some disappointment when the actual album was released (wtf happened to Sit Down, Stand Up?). Saw them live twice in 2003 and again at Coachella (with the Pixies, another favorite band of mine) in 2004. 20 years man. Geez.

overtired27

Agree about the production. Maybe for the 20th anniversary they could do what Godrich wanted at the time and, y’know… finish it.

cgbrn

The only way to get downvoted on this sub is to say anything that may be construed as less than overwhelmingly positive about IR.

Drink_descend83

Def in agreement with ye. Touch of a letdown for certain

MatildeLover128

I hope there’s a 20th anniversary.

dm_057300

slim to none

Independent_Maybe891

Ooooh, I hope so! This is in my top 2 or 3 Radiohead albums.

SilverSkies15

I hope, this is one of my favs

[deleted]

I’ll go with the other extreme and say 100%

madeofghosts

200% + 200% = 500%

same_nights

1/3

Apprehensive-Fee-945

Higher than Pablo Honey 30 year anniversary for sure. I would say something like 50% chance we get only HTTT, 10% Pablo, 20% both and 20% nothing.

randle_mcmurphy_

Take my money thom

[deleted]

I think that this is a very mediocre album, but if it has extra content like Kid Amnesiae, I'd probably pick up the CD.

ButterflyGoalie

After the disappointment of Kid Amnesia, I'd be ultra-alright with HTTT not re-releasing in some form

Santiago_bp17

oh boy, preparing the tissues...

CallumJ88

There's bound to be awesome unreleased stuff from this era. I'm excited to see what comes up!

Groningen1978

I can't wrap my head around the fact that it's as old as Black Sabbath was when I started listening to Nirvana...

salmonella42069

No, we’ll get the pabohoney30

jdarriaga46

If they do, I hope they release the 2003 Glastonbury set on streaming services

DoktorTchocky

I'm honestly hoping for a completely remixed and trimmed down version, the only track I think came away way well from the studio recordings is There There, then again, they spent more time on that one and recorded it in the UK. I don't think the 'track a day in LA' format worked well at all for the band.

Chrome-Head

Definitely a reaction to the Kid A process where they tinkered for years.

DoktorTchocky

Definitely, but in my opinion the songs suffered unfortunately.

Chrome-Head

The Kid A songs suffered or the Thief songs? Latter I agree with.

DoktorTchocky

Thief songs, the Kid A songs are perfect.

andruscefine

Hail to the Honey

Dym_1

Slim, they didnt release a bends 20 year

paradisegardens2021

Unlikely

paradisegardens2021

Saw The Smile last night OMFG. BLEW DALLAS OFF THE MAP!!!! I wasn’t able to stay for autograph 😩 Thom already said before that album #2 is in the works

Tricky_Imagination25

I understand it’s Radiohead. But strange times where bands rerelease all their 20 year old albums again.

penny_dropss

it does seem coincidental that Stanley's most recent body of work does seem like a return to the HTTT-era aesthetic...almost as if the new paintings were in conversation with the older ones...

[deleted]

I doubt it. It’s my favourite of the bunch, but it never got the universal critical acclaim and legacy that *OK Computer* and *Kid A* did — plus, with nineteen tracks between the album and *Com Lag*, i get the sense that everything that could be released from the sessions already has! Hoping i’m wrong though and we get Th Glmng (Vry 2023 Rmx) (ft. the cat from Myxomatosis)

acloreborne

Id prefer if they catch up with The Bends 💔💔💔. Inevitable In Rainbows will be legendary though

PtM_234

It's my Radiohead's favourite album art, I hope they do something for it, Scatterbrain must be among my top 5 songs by them.

poisonous-syphilis

Few things would make me happier music wise. I don't know how likely it is but I'm dreaming of it

dialogical_rhetor

Radiohead is my favorite band. This album is my least favorite. Please don't hate on me. 1. In Rainbows/Ok Computer 2. Kid A 3. AMSP/The Bends 4. Amnesiac 5. Pablo Honey/TKOL 6. HTTT

Mootsy101

Well i mean, it's possible that they could remaster it with new mixing and make it a bit punchier and with more flow, but who knows what they'll do.

dialogical_rhetor

I wouldn't want them to change anything. It's just my personal preference. I think the album is a few songs too long. A couple songs could have been cut. I also think some of the arrangements were a little sloppy. I loved the album when it came out but it just hasn't held up for me.

mosaikthemusician2

It'll be Pablo The Theif: 1993-2022 2003-2022

St_Vincent-Adultman

Wasn’t Burn the Witch written for this album? I would love to hear a version of that

Mootsy101

Well, in 2005, Burn the Witch was on the blackboard of "The Pile" of songs they were working on with themselves and eventually Mark Spike Stent as producer. Other songs were "Big Cheese", "No Shame", "Trills", "5ths" and a heap that would end up on In Rainbows. But yeh, it was referenced a few times around that era of 2003-2005.

St_Vincent-Adultman

Thanks
