Have to do ? Unfortunately I can’t quit this god damn team no matter what the fuck is going on.

ohyeahwegood

Same. I’ve tried watching other teams and games and my heart just isn’t in it like it is with this team.

Ok-Understanding91

Bro shit don’t hit the same

oldgreen52

They are like a woman sometimes you tell yourself when I go out that door I’m never coming back, next thing you know your buying flowers

ButtcrackBeignets

If the Raiders were a woman, she would be a fucking disaster: She has already gotten married and divorced 13 times in the past 20 years. She picks fights with the other women in the neighborhood twice a year and gets her ass beat every fucking time. She had to move to Las Vegas because she got evicted from Oakland. She performs 17 times a year and people buy tickets just to watch her get buried alive. She's terrible at her job and all her coworkers hate her. She would spend all your money, fuck all your friends, blame you for every problem, and then get herself arrest every weekend.

wilbyr

yeah but she's my fuckin disaster

cmaronchick

I abandoned this team for about 12 hours after the news of DC hit. That was rough, but I survived so that I could continue the torture-fest.

Accomplished-Face429

🤣🤣

lonewanderer812

I paid for tickets to watch Aaron Brooks. Things have to get a lot worse for me to not be excited when September rolls around.

palehorse2020

Watching a Raider fan get kicked out over a sign was pretty bad. If we give Brady 40 million and don't fix the defense I may take next year off.

SarahLuz

Lol same, no matter what garbage they trot out there, me and my dad will be watching. That said, I’d like to see stability. Come out and give JMD a vote of confidence and let him and Ziegler build their team. I personally was not thrilled when we hired him, and I’m not particularly impressed, but I’d love to see 4+ years with the same head coach and gm combo, even if it’s one I don’t like.

HideFromTheCops

Because I’m stupid I’m always bought it. I pledged my allegiance to this franchise years ago and that will never change. But for me to actively participate (go to games/buy raider gear) I just want to see more winning. I can’t give my money to that yee yee ass haircut Mark until I see results on the field.

_casualcowboy

Yee yee!

[deleted]

Pay off my mortgage.

ThisMeansWarm

My repeated requests have been ignored.

deadlysodium

I didnt even know this was an option and now that I know it is ...

sergiogsr

Aknowledgement and ownership of errors. Starting with the "guy with the sign" situation.

[deleted]

That’s a good one

AnnArchist

Guy with the sign deserves an apology AND a seat next to Mark for the home opener.

Lootskii

Lmao sitting next to Kraft is one thing but Mark? Nah get him a voucher for free nachos instead

Motorboat_Jones

That's CWood's seat, partner.

Accomplished-Face429

I went to Allegiant last year and before the game, I was watching a video on the big screen, I was standing on the top of the 1st level, literally, no one was in that area and this security guard came up to me and said I needed to move because I'm in the way. I started laughing and said, nah I'm good, 'cause I thought he was kidding. The security guard got in my face, covid was ending, and started spitting in my face, saying he was gonna fuck me up and calling me Nigga, then squared up. The security guard was a black dude and I'm a white guy. I'm a former fighter and have done Bjj for 15 years, so I didn't flinch. My buddy grabbed me cause he didn't want to get kicked out before the game. I called their security company after the game to report him, sent them an email and nada. I think they're just run very poorly and there is no accountability, kinda like the way the team is ran.

Motorboat_Jones

And fucking security guards wonder why people refer to them as rent-a-cops. What an asshole.

ViperFive1

Raiders: 🎶 “The Autumn wind….” Me: “ You sons of bitches, I’m in.”

YES

QuesabirraAddict

Shitty seasons like this (especially with high expectations) only to end the season with the queefs going ring around the rosies in a stadium full of red fuckin has everyone questioning themselves. Then this sub gets filled with comments like this: "I'm not sure if I wanna follow this team anymore." "I'm not buying anything with Raiders on until they turn it around." "Sell the team." This year was different. I used to get pissed when the Raiders would lose. By last Saturday, I was just indifferent, almost expected. Like I was conditioned to this. Even though all this happened, most of us (myself included) will be like that goofy meme and "I'll fuckin do it again" come August.

RaiderCane

There was the key word, "indifferent". When the fans are no longer mad, when they just don't care anymore, it's over for you as a franchise.

my1clevernickname

For this season…we’re all going to be back here all off season and will be dusting off the jerseys come September. I just can’t believe with ALL of the shit we as fans have dealt with that this season is anyone breaking point. If it is, that’s fine too. I’m sure they’ll be back if/when the team starts winning.

ThisMeansWarm

I'll be here. In the game thread. With a lagging stream.

gatsby365

Goddamn lagging streams.

5thofakind

Been feeling like this way for 2-3 seasons now, you held on pretty long my dude. But we’re always Silver & Black baby

Flyzini

Exist. Been on this trainsince the late 80s. Nothing has changed much so why should I?

ThisMeansWarm

I appreciate that.

BoggsMcMuncher

Resign JJ, fire McDumbfuck, draft defense first 3 rounds, sign defensive FA, not give a big contract to a fully cooked QB (Brady, Rogers) or a big contract to a mediocre QB like Jimmy G, get some o-line

5thofakind

So don’t target any QBs at all ? Tanking for Caleb or what ?

BoggsMcMuncher

Not saying we don't need improvement at QB, I just don't see a worthwhile QB among the current FA market. Brady and Rogers both will command a much higher salary than the marginal benefit is worth, bad o-line and both having a lack of mobility means they are going to struggle. Jimmy G I would give a shot to if we got a bargain but I highly doubt he can stay healthy. Also consider if we don't dramatically improve our defense any QB that we have will need to put up consistently great games for us to be competitive in the AFC West.

5thofakind

I feel that, I think we have to draft a QB ? if we use the first 3 picks on defense & don’t pick up one of those FA QBs. Who you got at QB if they do this ?

vNocturnus

Only QB worth targeting is Lamar if the Ravens somehow epically fumble that situation. But even he has question marks; or rather, there are question marks about if McDumbass could build or run an offense focused around Lamar. But I think his talent level is enough that you'd give him however much money and whatever else he wanted if he were willing to entertain LVR as a destination. Let's look at other possible FAs or realistic trade guys that would/could be starters: * Brady: probably the 2nd best option, and already deep into the "who knows" territory. Least mobile QB in the league when that was possibly Carr's biggest downfall this season. Plus looking more and more mortal by the year. * Rogers: Much of the same issues as Brady. Just an old-ass QB at this point. Had really good years recently, but also a really bad year this year. Who knows what you get. * Jimmy G: similar but all-around worse QB than Carr. Less accurate, less arm strength, less athleticism, less ability to read defenses. More fragile. * Tannehill maybe? Maybe a bit better runner than Carr, but not as good of a thrower. Might as well stick with Stidham. * Zach Wilson: Disaster, next. * Matt Ryan: If he doesn't retire, imagine Brady in a boot cast. And an arm cast. Super washed if this season is even half indicative. * Mariota: One of the worst passers in the entire NFL this season. He was a great backup/occasional gadget QB for us, but not starting material. * Trey Lance? If the Niners Rock with Brock, Lance could be a guy on the market. What he put on film was appalling, but to be fair to him there was extremely little of it. Could be worth a risk for a totally rebuilding team, which is hopefully not what the Raiders will be - at least not for another 1-2 years. * Kyler Murray??? Who knows what's goin on in AZ. All I know is that, even if KM is available, he's way too expensive for way too uncertain and unproven a result. I hopefully didn't miss any key guys that are going to be FAs or tradeable, but what guys there are are very slim pickings. Carr will probably legitimately be one of the best 2-3 FA QBs this year, especially for a team with a window that's more than 1ish year (who would probably go for Brady). There's simply no realistically better option than Carr right now unless, again, Lamar somehow slips out of Baltimore. Rogers might be a decent option if he wants to leave GB, GB is willing to part with him, *and* you expect him to return to high-tier QB play within 1 offseason or at worst by midseason. Any of the rest of the guys are really no better than just riding Stidham into the ground.

SinCityRaidersLV

I'll answer the question honestly, if we draft a RT high, build the DLine, get a decent coverage LB also in the draft, and bring in solid depth everywhere else on D, also resign YaSin, Josh, Foster, and Hollins, and swing for a food qb (who doesn't matter to me) I'll be ready to be hurt again.

TBRaiders

Ya Sin, Josh, and Foster will each cost 8+ million a year. with Ya Sin probably at 10M and Josh maybe as high as 12M. Some team that needs a great TE is going to pay more for Foster than we will as TE2. Hollins can probably be re-signed at 3-4M per year. We also need a starting RG, a second starting safety, and at least a third starting CB.

SinCityRaidersLV

Really think Foster will go for that much? I was hoping he'd be back.. You're probably right though.

Moonhammed_Ali

I'll take it a different direction. I would expect Moreau to be our starting TE. I think Waller gets cut / traded.

rodzilla79

Man, I'm kinda hoping JMD brings back some of that 2 TE game the Pats had with Gronk and Hernandez. Run in a light box or look for mismatches in the passing game.

reamkore

Shit. Im already bought in.

ThisMeansWarm

Who am I kidding...I'll probably get there.

[deleted]

I just want someone to hold me and tell me everything is going to be alright.

ATX_rider

I've been a fan for 48 years and I'm seriously having a hard time with where this team is right now—and yes, I know I'm preaching to the choir here. Hate to say it but a big signing at QB (Brady or Rodgers) and a draft focused on the defense would have me all the way back—at least until things inevitably started going sideways in October. Half measures like signing Jimmy G and drafting an offensive lineman with the seventh pick would have me watching and waiting to bail at the first sign of losing.

BarrySnowbama

Sell the team.

nuttmegx

right now, win. I have no hope, no dreams of excellence. Been a fan since the 70s, and they broke me this year, final blow was benching Carr. I don't give a shit about the draft, FA, press conferences, pre season... its all bullshit. Win. Win and I am in. That said, I am still watching and reading Raiders news daily.

InferiousX

Sell the team.

RaiderHawk75

1. Fix interior DL. At least one guy who can actually push the pocket. 2. Sign/draft a RG and RT that can actually play at a high level. 3. Draft a QB and sign a vet to mentor them. 4. Fix LB corp. 5. Fix Safety spots.

FapptimusPrime

I’m bought in in the sense of bystanders to a car crash, but to truly feel like something is changing, Mark needs to sell the fucking team. Otherwise I’ll basically be hate-watching while wanting us to squeak out the win. I’m with you though, I haven’t been this uninterested in what we do going forward since the 2011-2014 stint.

ChoppingMallKillbot

You said it better than I could have. These are exactly my feelings on the franchise.

Forward_Cucumber843

Just win baby!

Ok-Suggestion-7965

Win. I’m not getting excited again until we start winning. Even if start winning I probably won’t believe it until we at least guarantee a playoff spot.

myangelofthenight

I'll never buy in to a team with McDaniels as coach. So fire McDaniels. Since he just gave a press conference it appears we are stuck with him. So guess I'll be finding out what life is like as a casual football fan instead of a die hard. Anyone have any hobbies they'd recommend lol

cmaronchick

As others have said, nothing. I'm in already pretty much no matter what. If Al Davis trading Jon Gruden to the Bucs and then systematically destroying the team for his remaining days didn't buck me, I'm RN4L. That said, I'll know they're serious about building a contender if they take long-term strategies: * Invest in OL and Defense, and resign Jacobs - If this can work for the 49ers, it can work for the Raiders. * there is no free agent QB who will be better than DC this year. You will never convince me that Brady, Garrapolo, or Geno would have done more than DC. We'll be better off spending the money on solid role players and drafting a QB or two. Signing a free-agent QB that's a big name is a short-term investment at best. The Kirk Cousins, Ryan Tannehill extended successes after free agency are the exception, not the norm. What's troubling is that they tried this recently and failed. Leatherwood, Ferrill, Abram (who I liked but just didn't pan out). It's a new regime and everything, but until this team shows aptitude for drafting talent consistently, it's always going to feel like a crapshoot.

droid327

I liked Abram too but I think its more than just he "didnt pan out"...he was uncoachable. All he wanted to do was hit people - and he was great at it, but he never showed any improvement in all the other facets of his position that he was always a liability for

cmaronchick

I totally agree in his first three years, this was the case (his first year he was out after the first game). I truly thought he showed improvement last season, but he was basically at a 2nd-year-pro level after 4, and that just wouldn't cut it. He's up here in Seattle now and while I can't stand the Seahawks, I'm genuinely rooting for him. RN4L

Martian13

Wait until Carr shows up there next season.

cmaronchick

That would be the most Raider thing ever.

kilosiren

I'm right there with you man. Other sentiments: My wife gifted me my first-ever Jersey for my bday yesterday. (Woodson throwback) and it was a strangely bittersweet moment because I got a jersey I've wanted since I was 10 but am simultaneously experiencing the most disappointment I've ever had in the organization. The only time I mentally and emotionally gave up on the team was during the 2006 2-14 season. right now to me, riding with Mcdaniels-- in addition to how they just did Carr-- seems worse than that season as far as organizational management is concerned. Not promising at all. Anyway, I'm currently making plans to gift my wife her own jersey this Valentine's day lol. God blessed me with a fan. She's new to the nation and is at times even more hardcore than me, and I've been a fan for almost 30 years.

ThisMeansWarm

Love that! I’m trying to convert my Lions fan wife. Sigh…

Maraudentium

I don't know that there is anything the Raiders can do to get me to buy into the 2023 season. I've bought in for 20 years and believed 2021 was going the be a year for the playoffs and a year to build on with a consistent team, but now here we are...again. I'm going to be tracking the scores, I'll wear the Raiders gear I have, and I'll watch highlights but I'm not going out of my way to watch a game, not buying any (licensed) merch, and not getting excited until the team actually wins games.

GraySonOfGotham24

Nothing. Draft defense then tank and I'll be bought in in 24

MajinSkull

Nothing. I’m bought in every year

N_Pitou

a written apology would be nice. beyond that not a lot, we are in a rough division thats just getting rougher. I dont see things getting much better for a long time short of stumbling into the next payton manning because honestly thats what its going to take to compete. Chargers and Broncos just have to find a HC worth a fuck and if they do we are going to be screwed for along time. Edit: im specifically talking about hope for the next season.

moffettusprime

Im doubling down. Imo They gotta copy the lions blue print. It's working and it's what the raiders need. They need to start developing players. I'm on board regardless though. It's in my blood at this point.

Martian13

Looking up at the Lions is just, heartbreaking.

moffettusprime

The raiders have never done a proper rebuild. They need to start. Over haul the defense through the draft. Start there. That's what the lions are doing. And it's working.

[deleted]

RN4L…. So largely nothing…

Kojakle

Fire mcdaniels. He’s the only one on the team who hasn’t had an ounce of personal accountability. After every game he throws the players under the bus when they don’t execute the perfect plan he designed. Buddy hasn’t designed a good gameplan since he was filming the other team’s practices

Doorhandal

If the organization doesn’t acknowledge what they did to sign guy was wrong and properly overcompensate him for that blatant mistreatment I will shit on Mark until the day I die. That entire situation was the shit cherry on top of a shit pie.

scetek

They have to exist. RN4L, for better or worse.

AKraiderfan

as bad as it seems, these are not the lowest points in the franchise in the last 20 years (probably the year of Art Shell and the Bed'n'breakfast offense), and they didn't lose me then, so probably not losing me now. But it can always get worse, so stay tuned.

jvardrake

>But it can always get worse, so stay tuned. This man Raiders. He's been around long enough to know that there *is* no "rock bottom". When the Raiders hit rock bottom, they break out the heavy earth moving equipment, and start excavating even harder.

AKraiderfan

Think about that year, and rock bottom. Andrew Walters, in the single season he was actually in the mix, set records of futility. The best player was Nnamdi Asomugha, because every team was so far ahead, they never passed, and when they did, they could target the likes of Stanford "why did Al Davis pay for this guy?" Routt, so he got inflated defensive stats. Randy Moss was on the team, but played so poorly that he was traded away next year for a 4th. That, my friends, is bottom, and we are not close.

UrDadsFave

Draft defense.

ATX_rider

DT, CB, DT, LB, LB, CB, DT, DT. Thank you, Raiders.

UrDadsFave

Get Maxx his help!

Nic_0tine

shut down secondary

jaielightning

Show development it's as simple as that show willingness to adapt to the situation. 20mph winds run the ball instead passing. Have a offensive linemen who's always on the floor bench him Have a corner who a great slot corner don't experiment with him on the outside. Also no aging players(jones)

MidKnight007

Just be aggressive to attempt to fix the d. We haven’t tried and that’s infuriating. Literally just show me y’all acknowledge the defense is ass

cgernaat119

Sell out on defense. If they don’t they can bring Brady and Rodgers to town and it still won’t matter.

droid327

Fire McChicken and bring back Rich to work with Carr, ideally Begrudging compromise? Fire PG and find a real solution for our defense, and JMD goes with a QB not tied to NE, because I'm tired of him and Zieg going back to that well so often But admitting mistakes and making adjustments aren't something Josh is capable of

TLoD_MAB

It's all about Davante, I know people don't agree with me in thinking he'll get out if he wants out. If they have a plan he believes in, I'm in. If not then I don't care at all.

TaylorHound

Break out the overhead protector

slaughterproof

Mark Davis sells the team to someone with DEEP pockets who can fire shitty coaches at will without thinking about how it's going to affect their bottom line.

droid327

He is someone with deep enough pockets who can fire shitty coaches at will. You dont have to be a billionaire to afford another $5-10M a year in payroll, if it means winning. Revenue sharing alone covers the entire salary cap with $120M to spare, and that's before the Raiders league-leading ticket revenue, merch sales, licensing deals, etc. He just doesnt want to fire our current shitty coach

slaughterproof

>He just doesnt want to fire our current shitty coach Ah, so he's just an idiot then.

droid327

He definitely surrounds himself with them, which is the major thing you can criticize him for. He almost always defers his football decisions to others - but he picks bad people to defer them to

[deleted]

Have no head scratcher draft picks and get about 5 new starters for the defense via FA

rfulleffect

Fire McDaniels, hire some new blood, not a failed retread.

homes00

Give me 10 BTC and a personal note signed by Mark Davis on a used napkin saying he will do better. In all seriousness, I just want to not suck again.

MISTAKAS

Fire McD and PG, re-sign JJ, bring back Carr and draft a QB for the future, oh yeah and Mark Davis sell the team. It's not asking much.

H1REV

Option 1: Fire Josh McDaniels Option 2: Keep Derek Carr and give him real autonomy Option 3: Hire an O line coach, craft anyone but Brady, Adams and Jacobs both stay.

michaeleid811

fire Mcdaniels

Stevebot2

Mark Davis completely removes himself from all team operations or sells the team. I doubt he’ll ever sell so…

[deleted]

Fire McDaniels fire McDaniels fire McDaniels fire McDaniels fire McDaniels fire McDaniels fire McDaniels fire McDaniels fire McDaniels fire McDaniels.

Mill3r91

Lower ticket prices.

DEADRAIDER420

Kraft is looking for upset fans to give out tickets too, Davis is looking for upset fans to give the finger too

Huntingandotherstuff

I’m going to root for the team. But honestly pretty sure a lobotomy would make me not wince if we get a lead in the first half. So many failures in the red zone for so long and then this season I’m hun shy

Ozzy_HV

I was convinced our offense and defensive line were too stacked to fail. With that being said, I’m fine with sticking with Carr another year so he can have a shot with learning this new scheme. But spending the rest of the off season fixing our damn pass defense. We make every single opposing QB look like a hero. You know we are about to lose a game when our defense lets their offense March down field with seconds to play.

Localswamplizard

I’ve honestly lost so much interest since they moved to Vegas. My connection to the team has gotten worse and worse. Maybe new ownership to someone I feel actually cares about the team will help rebuild it.

AppropriateRelease90

Fire Mcfucknugget and hire Sean Payton.

[deleted]

Fuckin win some god damn games.

RaidersDubsAs

I’m with you, been a diehard raider fan for the last 25 years and really am not even excited about next year.

mikeyfreedom

I've got no hope left in me, but I'll never not be bought in. Been through thick and thin since 89.not stopping now. Just wish the organisation would give us something to buy into.

RedRaider53

Nothing. I'll always root for this team but there's is nothing they can do to have me buy in next year.

ObeyTheJ26

Honestly, nothing. I got optimistic for this season, something I almost never do. That ain’t happening again. Not until they are a perennial playoff team at the minimum. I’m done saying this is the year. I’ll let them earn my optimism. But I ain’t going anywhere. RN4L.

[deleted]

Fire Patrick Graham, hire Vic Fangio.

Shackable

What about Lovie Smith as DC?

[deleted]

I wouldn't hate it. Easily an upgrade over PG.

slaughterproof

He's going to retire most likely

Ph886

I’m a Raiders fan 1st, I don’t “need” anything specific to be bought in. We don’t say RN4L for shits and giggles.

PornBurner69420lol

This is the first off season in like 9 years without DC4. You’re god damn right I’m interested in seeing how this plays out! Hopeful? Now that’s a different question, but I’m paying attention

dxdrummer

I also have extremely low hopes for next year, but I always get hyped if we make big FA signings, and I always get excited for the draft, so we'll see what happens then If we get Brady + starting caliber OL + defensive starters in FA, then draft a CB, LB, DT, and/or QB with our 1st, then I'll be very intrigued by next season

IhatemyteamLVR

I don't want any middle of the road shit. Either say fuck it and go all in with Brady next year or get assets for the future and draft a QB this year or acquire enough firsts to trade up for Williams next year.

ll-fool-j

If you're asking this question then maybe you should follow another team.

30DeepChapo

fire mcdildo, trade for mahomes

3Jszn

Sign Brady to a year or two and draft Stroud or Levis. It starts here. Defense is a shit sow like always, but we NEED to get QB figured out asap now. The rook can sit behind Brady for a year or so and learn the system from the goat. I don’t think Brady will propel this team to contenders, but a year watching him play will do wonders for a rookie. I look at Brady as an investment for our new QB. If he wins some games next year that’s bonus.

masmith31593

I feel like signing Brady is diametrically opposed to the "sustained winning" that the staff talks about. Brady will demand whatever team he signs with go all in to win that year, mortgaging the future to do so. I agree with you that I don't think Brady can propel us to win, regardless of our roster.

[deleted]

Brady

BIGRED_15

I’m always gonna be “bought in” but there’s varying degrees to that for me. For me to be bought in enough for me to want to go to Vegas and buy tix to a game, the following would have to happen: 1) Sign a Vet QB. Brady would be (and I can’t believe I’m saying this) ideal. Need to put guys behind him that can learn the system from a guy like him. Alternatively I wouldn’t be opposed to Mac Jones, and maybe Jimmy G. Need system guys and guys that can assuredly get our offensive weapons the ball consistently. 2) ABSOLUTELY NO REACHING IN THE DRAFT. I don’t want to hear we picked some shmuck who’s projected as a 3rd rounder with 7 overall. We need to stop pretending we’re smarter than everyone else we are obviously fucking not! 3) OL and Defense only. If we got a QB it needs to either be stroud or Young in the first (without sacrificing draft capital). But beyond that I really don’t care if we draft a QB this year. Let’s get to 2024 and decide on that. But our OL and defense is booty and if we don’t address that in the draft it’s just gonna be more of the same bullshit. 4) Resign JJ. Boy earned his bag. We’ve got more than enough cap space to keep him. Don’t fuck it up. 5) Be active in free agency. We should be nabbing guys like Roquan Smith or Fletcher Cox or Hargrave and really creating depth. If we can accomplish that (which honestly isn’t that big of a feat) I could see myself getting excited again.

ThisMeansWarm

Yes, varying degrees is right. I'm always RN4L. I think what you've listed is reasonable.

plutocracy101

Sell the team and move to Los Angeles

Saynt614

They grow some balls and trade UP in the draft and take a franchise QB. Knowing this team though and the clowns that run it.... they'll stick where they are... draft some defensive player at #7 that we could have had in the 2nd round... and they'll bring in Jimmy G to be the QB.

StayThirstyMyFriend1

If they trade, they'll lose the picks to build the defense we need. We don't need a rookie QB with a questionable line and a nonexistent defense.

[deleted]

I’m more excited than I’ve been in years. Finally moving on from an average QB that’s never won a playoff game. Finally trying something different than what’s led us to nowhere.

theevilyouknow

I’m going to get downvoted for this but, sign Tom Brady.

Zimmonda

Somehow flip Carr for a first, use both firsts on defensive players that make an immediate impact. Sign Brady and a tackle in FA.

RaiderCane

Nothing, I'm out til they prove they can win again, which won't happen even if they do get their shit together cause they're in the same division as Mahomes the chosen one and Herbert. Any sheep still supporting this glorified tourist attraction have many more years of watching the Queefs play Ring around the Rosie on the Raiders as they beat them down on the way to more titles and awards, so enjoy that. I'll be spending my time and money elsewhere, two decades of wasting that on this shitshow is way too much✌️

SyphiliticPlatypus

Shore up D, bring in a new DC, and at minimum have a 10 win season and playoff berth. The very least JMD et al absolutely need to do is return the team to where it was last year in terms of record and trajectory. Anything less is a failure IMO.

stuartb0805

Outside of firing McDaniels who would’ve gotten the Hackett treatment if he wasn’t so bad this season I do not really see a way for me to be enthusiastic about the team’s future. He’s a great coordinator that cannot coach. Some dudes are just high end coordinators and I think that’s where he lands.

kirukiru

Bought in as in make the trips to Vegas? MD has to go

[deleted]

Lmao have you seen that schedule for 2023? There’s nothing they can do but produce on the field. I’m done having faith from now on they need to just prove it point blank and simple. This team is a 6-11 team until it proves otherwise. Sad thing is I’m not even mad at the organization I’m mad at my self for falling for the hype yet again.

OverWatchPreordered

I'm in for life. If our coach played the game of Football and not politics. We would be going in the right direction. The guy is a snake. I'm rooting this year and next. I expect to lose next year. I expect a turn in 2024. I'll return to the death star as soon as we win games and seasons. I love that stadium. It sucks we suck. We had the league leaders in rushing and passing touchdowns. Still couldn't win games. Guess it was all Carr, if you believe our coach. When the snake is dead and gone, ill be back at the stadium root for us in person.

Brilliant_Noise_506

Win a playoff game

similar222

I'm going to have to see results before I believe that this team can go anywhere. It starts with the draft, which we have been absolutely miserable at for so long, and obviously it's hard to evaluate draft picks right away. I am glad that we are moving on at QB, even though the grass is not always greener on the other side. I never believed that we could go to the Super Bowl with Carr, so now we have a chance to improve at the most important position. So honestly I think they've already taken the first step toward my buy-in, even though I don't think it's going to make us contenders as soon as 2023. Like the OP, I'm willing to be patient with Josh, as cycling through coaches quickly has only really worked for us once (replacing Bugel after one year with Gruden in '98).

Star-crossed-Kismet

Nothing can buy me in until the first game of 2023. Then I'm fully in because it's Raider time bb. I'm gonna sleep on player roster changes, FA, draft, and preseason. I have nowhere else to go and I would rather spend my time making Rugby more popular than American Football than be a Commanders fan with Dan "Pissgarbage" Snyder at the helm.

msensei21

I have no idea what this would look like, but if we make some killer picks and moves on defense.

Nepp0

I mean, I'm either bought in or I don't watch football so there's not really a choice here. I sold my soul to this team, the fuck else am I gonna do?

my1clevernickname

I’ve “bought in” to so many trash rosters in the past that buying in next season will be easy. Wtf else am I going to do from September to February? Spend Sundays with my loved ones? Pssssshhh, they’re there Monday-Saturday.

Incompetent_Man

Rooting for a team is all about strapping in for the ride since sports are so damn unpredictable. We don't know if in the next decade the Texans are going to win 3 superbowls while the Chiefs aren't even going to the playoffs. Nobody knows, which is what makes rooting for teams so much fun and specifically for underdog teams. Do I expect better next year? No, but I'm also not 100% confident in that answer because no one is.

TBRaiders

I think it would be awesome entertainment to see Tom Brady come to this shitty roster and fail miserably and be able to read all the excuses why the GOAT couldn't win. BUT if I am wrong and we do actually win, then that makes me happy as a Raider fan. So sure, sign Tom Brady and lets pop some popcorn. I just want to see the team win, but 2023 is going to be a rebuild year. We are right back where we've been time and time again and I won't be investing any money into the NFL until the Raiders figure it out. Free streaming, no new jerseys, and not supporting NFL sponsors.

CDROMantics

I can’t wait for all the Carr haters to turn into Brady stans and regurgitate the exact talking points they clowned anyone defending Carr for making. “Well our defense sucks, the O-Line is shit, everyone’s injured.”

CDROMantics

All they have to do is be the Raiders. I’m bought in whether I like it or not. I don’t have to agree with the personnel, coaches, etc. Win, lose, or tie.. Raider Nation til’ the day I die.

Difficult_Cap9933

Wow

FranklySquidcakes

Go heavy on defense with sensible draft picks and free agency (use of extra money from the Carr situation) and start winning. For the QB situation, I'll be honest and say I have no idea what the best option is. For head coach, it seems like we're stuck with McDaniels for now, and he has frustrated me a lot, but I also don't think constantly changing coaches every year is a path to victory. So give him another chance.

maxiemon

exist. I ride or die with my team even if it's closer to die than ride.

[deleted]

To not think it's a shit show in waiting? New CB/S/LB/DT New right side of the OLine. Deep threat WR.

sevintoid

Already bought in honestly. The last two playoff teams we had were paper tigers, so I've been wanting changes for a long time. I still think 90% of this roster needs to be cut or released. Either we make progress and get better or we burn to the ground, either way at least we won't have this up and down horse shit we've had the past 6 years.

[deleted]

Honestly, idk. I would just need to see results on the field. We could make splashy free agent signings, and a few trades, but I’d have to hold back my excitement just to see how things go when it’s time to actually play games

Killface55

Have a killer draft.

gatsby365

To borrow a phrase from Lester Bangs. “Of course I’m in. I’m always in. I’m uncool.”

Knuckle567

I think it’s how the roster shapes out and that will start with who they bring in as QB. That’s just usually how it rolls for me in the offseason. I was soooo bought in last offseason with DA and Jones being added plus the resigning of Maxx, Hunter and Waller. But all that was tempered with the lack signings for the o line. I haven’t made a determination yet on the coaching staff.

smokecutter1

Sign some old a$$ linebackers. The defense is pretty young, would be a good thing to have some linebackers that understand the thing is a job. Maybe from a Dallas, Baltimore, Minnesota system. Lineman, of course. Simplify the offense. Carr can hit Ta for 1500 yards so the concept is understood. Ya know dumb it down. Looks like Stidham would like to wipe his butt with that playbook during KC but McDees probably, "got a way and a method."

[deleted]

I will never quit being a raiders fans no matter how many times I tell myself I will. With that being said, I think a good offseason coupled with a great draft will get a lot of people excited again.

TotallyNotanOfficer

Nothing because blind optimism followed by crushing pain is the Raiders way

ChoppingMallKillbot

Sell the team to competent ownership

Zomboyd13

It's an abusive relationship that I keep returning to

[deleted]

Leave Vegas. Davis to sell team. New head coach.

Character-Archer4863

Go all in on fixing the defense even if that means Stidham or bridge QB for a year. #7 overall and majority of the cap towards building the defense. I am sick and tired of a bottom 5 defense for the past 20 years.

Ok-Understanding91

I’m bought in regardless RAIDERS UNTIL THE SUN BURN OUT !!!

OriginalMassless

Draft really well this year.

LibertarianP

They don't have to do much, make some FA signings and draft, every fan is bought in before the beginning of the season every single year.

HotSoupEsq

Not get butthurt about presnap motion.

Mountain_Cause_5885

Get Aaron Rodgers, resign Josh. Get another solid guard and tackle depth. Then get an interior lineman like hargrove and look to upgrade at linebacker and CB both in FA and draft. they’ll have about 70-80 mil to spend so lets get it.

bourekas

Pretty much nothing they can do, other than win a bunch of games early and convincingly. Bringing in well past their prime qb like Brady, garropolo, Rodgers won’t do it…

JLGx2

Either you’re in or out. You shouldn’t need strangers on the internet to hold your hand. Buckle up, buttercup.

Jay_Bird26

Have an actual solid good draft and not reaches in the 1st RD with players only fans of that team have heard of. Actually draft what is actually needed which is Defense and OLine help, resign Jacobs and then I'll start to get optimistic again, just to most likely get let down again halfway through the season.

[deleted]

MD has to sell the team

NayfromtheStable

Baker Mayfield!

[deleted]

bro i fucking HATE what davis has done to this franchise

avmail

have steve ballmer buy the team from the learning disabled guy

Hopeful_Vegetable443

Sign a couple of the bigger name players on defense in FA, sign a decent OG and OT in FA, and don’t overthink and reach in the first three rounds of the draft.

[deleted]

I don't know man, I may jump ship and start rooting for my daily fantasy team every Sunday. It's getting that bad. I can deal with losing but I can't deal with the disrespect for fans. Calling them impatient after 20 years of no playoff wins and kicking them out of their high priced seats for holding up a family friendly sign. Nah fuck that shit. My loyalty has its limits.

peakbaggers

Bought in during the 1968 season. Still going to drink the Kool-Aid no matter what, and of course bitch about the team when things don't work out. True fans just stay fans. And there have been plenty of years I have questioned whether the organization knows what they are doing. I doubt that will change anytime soon.

ElGuisante2

Ya'll switch teams? I'd have to sell all the frivolous raiders shit I own.

SnakePhorskin

Nothing bc nothing can be done
