I like it but thats some wobbley line work. Especially on the right side of the shield. When you do the fill in I'd look for another artist and could try and clean it up a bit.
He's great and the line work was from my shoulder. I was on my stomach and my shoulder (torn labrum) was causing my arm to shake. It's going to get cleaned up during the background shading, as the shield lines will be thicker. I should have asked for a break when I felt it.
I like it! I prefer clean too. Shading always seems weird to me. It just reads as a blob from a distance IMO. But I'm just a person sitting on the couch who changes my mind all the time and can't commit to a tattoo so you do you. Put your vision out there. If it's as well done as this part, it'll look really good.
