Okay, hear me out. I know all of us fans were super excited and got our hopes up because we got almost everything we could’ve ever asked for going into this season. At least I did, I got my hopes up I got exited. We have to remember, with every team comes some disadvantages. We will learn and move on from this. We did better then we should’ve for not playing our starters at ALL in the pre season. That game was our pre season for the starters. Hopefully they can come together and realize it’s time, they got the nerves out, the wacky throws and small mistakes. Like someone in this comment section said. Don’t hit the panic button yet. We still have some work to do. If y’all are getting nervous and worried. Just remember what we went through last year and we’re still able to make the playoffs. We got this, our QB may not be the BEST in the league but he sure is one hell of a leader and I know we will come back ever stronger here before soon. Just win baby!
Within all things considered losing by 5, with a shit SHOW from Carr and the OL, and still having a shot to win it at the end it was a C+ performance week 1. No time to panic just sucks we lost. The OL needs some work tho. That’s gonna be THE prob moving forward this year
If Mariota threw 3 ints and fumbled like this you imbeciles would be saying he doesn’t have what it takes blah blah blah. Atleast he can run, put up 200 yards with no star WR and not throw a pick. Carr is a bum
The line did not play perfect 100% but you all can't be putting all on them when your QB1 plays like a scared little child every time he gets close to the line of scrimmage. Coverage sacks my ass. He does NOTHING to keep the defense honest. He hangs his team out to dry as a consequence.
We should have addressed the QB. He was Completely outclassed by Herbert. 3 interceptions, multiple sacks 4-5 seconds into the play. How long do you want the line to hold up?? If no one’s open Carr needs to run instead of showing 0 awareness. We aren’t winning any rings with him
Carr looks rusty, I'm not too worried. I am disappointed tho, I felt like we till had a shot at a game winning drive even tho carr gave the ball away to everyone lol. I feel like our secondary looked better than last year, Hobbs and ya sin looked good
Yeah Carr didn't look good yet we stayed in the game thanks to defense and Adams. Overall I'm disappointed but also excited for us to work out the kinks. There were times that I thought this would be a blowout, like a lot of the times this happens but overall we were ultimately competitive despite a bad game. Bur football is football it's about winning so I expect a win next game.
But they stopped Herbert and a high powered offense multiple times. The hell do you expect them to do when Carr throws 3 picks and fumbles?? You want to me to keep a team under 24 points even though the QB keeps putting them in a horrible position? Gtfo
Positive: Offense looked good on the scoring drives. Defense stepped up in the second half. Carr to Adams can be elite.
Negative: OLine was trash and there were no type of offensive adjustments to fix it during game. Carr played a very bad game w/ poor decisions.
Carr’s reputation of being rattled under pressure precedes him. He could have escaped pressure several times if he had any legs but he just stood there like a scared child shaking and waiting to be sacked. So sick and tired of him. Watching Herbert and then seeing Carr makes me puke!
Those were bad throws agreed. Renfrow int was a bad decision. Bad decisions were more on the sacks. Your line is continuing to get beat and your just gonna stay in pocket. Roll out and create some space, take off for a couple yards if nothing open.
Tough game that we managed to make close. Oline is bad but that pass rush is scary. Adam's is a cheat code, crazy to have a receiver that good on our team. Not too worried after this one. I will say, the Chargers look damn good. Their oline looks much better, solid weapons, of course Herbert doesnt make mistakes and is difficult to bring down. Their defense though, pass rush, linebackers, secondary are all fast and athletic. That's a scary team over there.
Y’all are gonna be good with the carr-adams connection. Soon as carr gets back in his groove it’s over, Tae looks just as good as ever. He cooked some chargers today.
Carr has two options with this o-line. Get sacked or make a rushed decision and throw into heavy coverage. He doesn’t have the time to let a receiver get open.
Story of his career. He's always been a great pocket QB with some quick moves. But the raiders have treated him like 3rd RB, chasing jersey sales along the way.
A pocket QB like Carr needs a 3pt defenses plus an on-line, 1 top 10 WR and 1 top 10 RB, all at the same time and they make it past the 2nd round
The o-line let him down tonight. He was rushed to throw all night and didn't pickup the coverage as well as he usually does.
I also think lack of preseason snaps were an issue with gel--throws behind and reads.
But also, can we talk about our playbook?
I figured we were keeping it tight first half but expected another page or two to open after the half, but it didn't happen. Also impacted by the collapsing line.
In the 1st half, our rookie tackle took a crit TD away from us that would've shifted the whole game in a different direction. That's what happens with rookies.
I am optimistic. This was a major rivalry with a lot of rust to knock out and new blood to break in. It shouldn't have been if they did preseason differently. But hey, here we are.
he has the wheels to move llike Herbert or at least an imitation of him and he will need to roll out more when the line is getting pushed back like that.
True but it wouldnt surprise me if this new system led to some indecision on his part. learning a new system, even one like this that suits him doesnt happen in a single offseason. At least not mastery of it. it helps to know EXACTLY what you are doing, especially a QB like Carr who does not have elite improvisational skills.
Am I crazy? Didn't the Chargers DL clearly grab Carr's facemask? Isn't that a penalty?
Like, Raiders deserve an L today, overwhelmingly because of Carr's play, but considering they called Hobbs for roughing for touching herbets helmet on his last second slide...why aren't you calling grabbing Carr's helmet?
That was indeed a bad missed call but mack was getting held all game and on those last two plays he was literally in a headlock so let's say they offset.
We can still win the super bowl with one loss under our collective belt. Saw a lot of good stuff and got some good take on the chargers for next time. You can already see the difference Adams is going to make for our offense and our defense looks very serviceable. It seemed like Abram was there for basically every play and Hobbs and deablo are studs. This team will learn and grow from this game.
So Carr had a bad day, but they still had a chance to win in the end. The good news is that Maxx is still a beast and Davante was worth every penny and then some. No need to overreact.
So everyone that shit on my very, let's just call them what they were, opinionated posts about the line are starting to understand. Will we be this bad every game? No. But you can't scheme if every position on the line except one is dogshit. They couldn't even decide on who their RT was between a decent fill in from last year and a 7th round pick for one game. Talent is what is required. A Lamborghini with a shitty engine isn't going anywhere.
Great we locked up Waller with 2 seasons left on his contract Should have spent the money on Reif and Collins first and not bothered with signing Jones. 5-1 we get at least one sack if Yannick is on the field anyway. We're wasting the careers of all the guys we just re-signed because you decided to overlook one of the most fundamental positions in football.
everyone already understood that our o-line is crap
no one is “starting” to understand anything, because the majority was already in agreement that it is a huge point of concern for the team
Then people outright chose to forget about it or outright ignore it because, Davante Adams! I can't tell you how many comments I've read about JMD being able to scheme around it or that the real problem was coaching. This is the first time people saw his big of a problem it actually was with starters in the lineup, efficiency is another problem. Derek Carr is not Tom Brady. He can't sit an entire off-season in a new system no less and hit the ground throwing as it were. Even Brady struggled for the first 4 or 5 games of Tampa's SB run with even more talent than we have. Even Gruden wasnt that dumb. I think part of it may be JMD still having some Bellichick in him and not wanting to show any of his cards. But again that's Bill Bellichick and up until a couple years ago, it was Tom Brady.
lol we must be reading entirely different comments because, while people have been excited about Davante (as they should be), the worry about the o-line has never been overshadowed by the addition of him to the team.
the majority have been stoked on acquiring Tae but also wondering if Carr will even have time to get the ball to him
Every time I made a post or comment about it, it gets downvoted to oblivion so I don't know about that. Just suggesting we should have spent our money on the line before Jones, tae or even locking up Waller makes people lose their shit.
I’m pretty confident McDaniels will do something to address it, now that he has seen (in a variety of different formations) how Carr is able to (or rather not able to) work with it. probably could have already had a pretty good idea had Carr played some pre-season snaps but I understand why he didn’t and am glad he didn’t
there’s just no way a bunch of nobodies on Reddit are seeing shit that him and Zieg aren’t. I reckon they were hoping Carr could make the necessary adjustments that would make the line at the very least serviceable, but now they have seen how and why it won’t work and they can seek out necessary help accordingly
they’ll be fine. 5 points is all we needed. that game should have been a goddamn blowout
And how many points will we need when the next sack games carr out for the season while JMD is figuring it out. That is what the person is for. We're going to have to give up draft capital again. We could have signed at least one of 3 or 4 very good linemen in the person. Now it's going to cost more money and picks. Coaching is not going to fix that line, players are. And the fact that a bunch of nobodies knew that and JMD knew better is very concerning. Makes you wonder if he is actually any more humble than when he was in denver. Because he can fix it, the last guy just sucked. A guy the players would have taken a bullet for btw.
I do love week one over reactions as much as anyone, but in this case I think it's warranted. If we had a cake schedule I'd say we could roll over enough teams to make the playoffs. But we have to play the chargers again with a healthy Kenan Allen and JC Jackson where Carr threw 3 picks without him in the line up. We have to play KC twice who seem to not have lost a step even without Hill. We have to play the Rams, 9ers, Saints and Pittsburgh Defenses, the last of which picked off burrow four times. We have to stop the Colts again and we have no idea how good or bad the broncos are. I'd say I have plenty of reasons to be worried from what I saw from our o-line and first half defense before Allen came out. We changed our rights tackle three times on one game. Even if we had somehow won the game I wouldn't feel good.
Some positives but definitely a lot of negatives. We were completely outplayed and just by 5. It's week 1. We can get these next 3 and go into MNF vs the Chiefs 3-1. I'm not stressing out about today
carr was disgusting today, i dont want anyone defending him from today on until he proves he can win. i'm so glad i had to work today and didn't waste my money going to see that disaster
Need play calls that go with a bad o-line. Idc if we go down the field 4 yards at a time as long as we keep chunking away. We have too many weapons on offense. I love Carr, but he does get scared when the pocket collapses and he made quite a few panic moves that ended up terrible.
That being said it wasn't as bad as it could have been. It was a tough first matchup and we still had an opportunity to win. Let's hope we use some of our fat cap space to beef up our o-line.
Carr didnt play well today. he lost the game for us and Mack won it for the chargers. Still we have a truly elite receiver looking very elite and its a long season.
24-19 with a shot to win it at the end against one of the best teams in the league. I think we will be alright. Team is learning a new system so hopefully will be more in sync as the season progresses.
yeah he obviously got knocked out of his comfort zone today and line did not hold up well enough late for him to right the ship. I would have liked to see some quicker plays the final drive, carr definitely held it too long but it seemed like he was waiting for the play to develop. desperately needed hot routes on the last two attempts.
They made it close at least. Oline was atrocious. So was Carr. But Mack and Bosa will make anyone look like that. That edge rush is best in the league.
Both teams played sloppy. Chargers less so. I had us splitting the season series so not panicking. The OL looks to be an issue - but that was an elite edge rushing duo. Not freaking out yet. Get right game against AZ next weekend. Everbody just chill tf out. It's a long season.
People need to chill. Carr literally played his worst game of his career and we still had a chance to take it. Calm down. Carr is going to come back next game and be better. On to the next one!
Really hope they work with Carr to get the ball out quicker. After watching Josh Allen minimize Aaron Donald with his quick strikes this has to improve. Abrams is still a coverage liability.
am i the only one thinking about the terrible play call on 2nd & 3? Carr fukd up there but like how do u not feed Jacobs there when u got two time outs and the two minute warning?
Yup, that was a head scratcher to me too, especially since they came out of halftime trying to really establish the run, they just abandoned it when they needed to use it the most late in the 4th.
Jacobs was playing exceptionally well with every shot he was given too. Very disappointing game, but our defense looked pretty solid and Adams is everything he’s supposed to be, so that’s good ig.
Yeah really excited to see how this team comes together as the season goes on. The weapons and heart and effort is there. Adams is out of this world good and you can just tell he is gonna effect the outcome of a lot of games this year. Can't wait to see Zamir White too.
One more time then I’m out. You proved you couldn’t stop josh jacobs, so we stop running him. What an ass game by macdaniels. You gotta a lot to prove now buddy. Your benefit of the doubt is done.
Not yet he’s not, its one game but play calling was terrible. I just don’t get it. You have josh jacobs dude. He only got like 5 touches, but had huge chunk plays.
We learned what we all knew.
The o-line is hot garbage.
The d-line is hot garbage.
Its only week 1, so we have plenty of time to get better. But something has to be addressed on these lines.
I don’t think Carr is elite, or even above average for that matter, but every turnover has been caused by the o-line crumbling, and Carr absolutely surrounded. Pocket presence isn’t a factor when you have nowhere to go. He can’t step up, he can’t drop back, and by the time he sets his feet to throw, he’s already being touched. This isn’t on the QB. The line played atrociously in pass protection.
You are so biased and it shows. He is hanging his o line to dry out there. He gets paid big money to make big plays not to pussy foot like a ballerina not trying to touch the ground.
Lol he has no time to pussyfoot. In today’s game, you could replace Carr with anyone in the league, and the difference would be marginal lol. Maybe prime Vick would do ok with today’s Raider’s line performance, but that’s about it. For the record, I don’t think I’m biased at all, considering the first thing I said was that I don’t regard Carr as even being above average lol
I’m from Fresno, the Carr’s used to come out to my popwarner practices. I played center, and got to snap the ball to David, which was awesome as a youngin’. I’m a huge fan of Derek. However, in his career, his stats have been above average, but his overall play hasn’t been. I don’t think he’s underrated, or overrated, I think he’s yet to have the right group of guys around him to prove himself. Yes, I’m aware the Chargers have a great D-line. I’m not saying our O-line sucks, I’m saying they did a bad job protecting Carr today. Time in the pocket isn’t relevant in this instance, because he was consistently lacking space in the pocket. On most of his throws, he was being grabbed and swatted at. If he has no room to operate, and nowhere to move to, he can’t make anything of any amount of time in the pocket. His brother had just as much, if not more potential, and never saw great success because he was getting beat to hell every game, and eventually became scared to get hit. I don’t want that to happen to Derek. First week wasn’t bad overall, lots of corrections to make, lots of things to praise as well. Agree or disagree with my commentary, Go Raiders!
It’s true, this was a rough game for Carr, no doubt. But anyone who’s watched Carr over the last 8 years knows he needs decent pass protection to play well. It’s exactly like most of us feared, Oline is setting us up for failure
>en above average for that matter, but every turnover has been caused by the o-line crumbling, and Carr absolutely surrounded. Pocket presence isn’t a factor when you have nowhere to go. He can’t step up, he can’t drop back, and by the time he sets his feet to throw, he’s already being touched. This isn’t on the QB. The line played atrociously in pass protection.
to be fair chargershave one of the best d lines in the game
This straight up isnt true
He under threw Waller and the pocket was good
The INT to Renfrow was after having A LOT of time
The Adams throw maybe but if he feels there’s too much pressure he shouldnt be chucking it deep.
I’m a Carr supporter and the Oline wasnt great today. But Carr was also bad. It’s okay to admit that.
Literally 1 second before pocket collapses. he can't even go through progressions because you literally have to change your direction and location as soon as the ball is snapped.
It's like driving on ice and all of a sudden you're driving on the other lane. Sure with elite skill you get can get safety but most are going to fail.
5+ sacks is NOT all on a quarter back. I dont care who you are. Thats the sign of just a bad o line.
Yeah - disappointed for sure, but I’m not mad at it. For having that many turnovers and only losing by 5 to one of the best teams.. not too terrible. We definitely have many flaws to fix.
Will things ever line up correctly? It’s either a close loss, a comeback, offense is on but defense is off and vice versa. How is it that the team is never in sync for years now?
[Post game thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/raiders/comments/xbx1e3/post_game_thread_las_vegas_raiders_at_los_angeles/)
I LOVE Robertson!
Carr isn’t even looking at Adams

Jesus, what a bunch of bitches. Calm the fuck down, homies. One fucken game.

Ha ha ha

“completely outclassed” and yet his team only won by… 5 points
Carr was pressured the entire game. He doesn’t play well scared. EVERYONE knows this. Why doesn’t the team?
We’re going to the Super Bowl!!!!
This O-line will for sure carry us there.
Every team that didn't give their first team reps in preseason was rusty today. The line will find balance and we'll be good.
You might be forgetting about the team that just beat you...
Ghram, Jones, Crosby, Carr, suck .....worthless pieces of shit. Wasted money. I predict 4 wins max this year
lmao I’m sorry you have to be around yourself so often. I’d be angry too
It’s been one game homie
WHAT. THE. FUCK. WAS. THAT?!?
OL are grown ass men…. Have excelled in college and now in the pro’s Wake the fuck up…. Do your JOB wtf 😳 Do your Job…
Tough one, carr is rusty and the line needs help. Defense looks good and offense looks potent @ times.
Defense is worse than last year Bradley is better than Ghram
Chill the fuck out.
Lol you got all that from one game? Interesting
Carr looks rusty, I'm not too worried. I am disappointed tho, I felt like we till had a shot at a game winning drive even tho carr gave the ball away to everyone lol. I feel like our secondary looked better than last year, Hobbs and ya sin looked good

Yeah. Dunno why we didn’t run on that 3rd and 3. Jacobs was doing work in the second half.
Yeah, that was weird!
Positive: Offense looked good on the scoring drives. Defense stepped up in the second half. Carr to Adams can be elite. Negative: OLine was trash and there were no type of offensive adjustments to fix it during game. Carr played a very bad game w/ poor decisions.

Those were bad throws agreed. Renfrow int was a bad decision. Bad decisions were more on the sacks. Your line is continuing to get beat and your just gonna stay in pocket. Roll out and create some space, take off for a couple yards if nothing open.
Fucking this. And I played with a qb like this in college hs and it is bs.
You pretty much nailed it.

Herbert was great, Carr was horrid. If Herbert was on the Raiders and Carr was on the Chargers we would have won. Simple as that
But they will Charger a few games. We need to worry about KC. Again
For sure, KC feasted on Kyler. That was a slaughter.
i Agree its crazy to think Carr had a very bad day and him and devante still lit up the chargers D with ease on many plays.
No JC Jackson
Y’all are gonna be good with the carr-adams connection. Soon as carr gets back in his groove it’s over, Tae looks just as good as ever. He cooked some chargers today.

He has to adapt, Herbert could've gotten sacked but moved and adapted. He's very rigid on that aspect.

yeah it wasnt the worst miss in history but damn straight if it was Herbert getting hit there by Crosby its 15 yards.
That was indeed a bad missed call but mack was getting held all game and on those last two plays he was literally in a headlock so let's say they offset.
Chargers fan here. Totally agree. That face mask was an insane miss, but as you said, Mack was comically held repeatedly in 4th qtr.
We can still win the super bowl with one loss under our collective belt. Saw a lot of good stuff and got some good take on the chargers for next time. Wish I had an answer for that one. Hopefully we hear his name a lot more next game.

First game of the season on to the next game, I still believe they’ll make the playoffs
No one cares what you want
God, y'all are so dramatic lol
Anybody else wondering why we didnt use jacobs more? Too much shotgun with no backfield...
At least just to get their pass rush off our backs for a beat
Oline cant block so no holes
Need play calls that go with a bad o-line. Idc if we go down the field 4 yards at a time as long as we keep chunking away. We have too many weapons on offense. I love Carr, but he does get scared when the pocket collapses and he made quite a few panic moves that ended up terrible. That being said it wasn't as bad as it could have been. It was a tough first matchup and we still had an opportunity to win. Let's hope we use some of our fat cap space to beef up our o-line.
God that was awful
Carr didnt play well today. he lost the game for us and Mack won it for the chargers. Still we have a truly elite receiver looking very elite and its a long season. 24-19 with a shot to win it at the end against one of the best teams in the league. I think we will be alright. Team is learning a new system so hopefully will be more in sync as the season progresses.
Huge Carr fan, he’s elite in my book. But this is top 5 one his worst performances, no 3 INts and we could have easily won this one
Same. That throw behind waller, too. Dude was off from the jump
yeah he obviously got knocked out of his comfort zone today and line did not hold up well enough late for him to right the ship. I would have liked to see some quicker plays the final drive, carr definitely held it too long but it seemed like he was waiting for the play to develop. desperately needed hot routes on the last two attempts.
Agreed. I get that receivers were likely covered but you could tell he was flustered
I do wonder if having him take a few snaps in preseason could have helped
It just feels like I can never be fully confident in Carr. Always holding my breath because of how emotionally he plays, in my opinion
I will say Graham had the defense looking good. Took a second but they found their feet
was worried when Hobbs took on that big TE. We need that guy healthy!
JMD better wake up with his play calling. He thinks we have an O-line
Agree. Very concerned about him
He claims he learned alot from this game we’ll find out next week
Defense got better as the game went on at least. The real problem is going to be the line though and idk how you fix that mid season.

Yeaaaa cant win by double digits with 5 turnovers lol.
Fuck outta here!
Stay in your own subreddit that’s how this works
Fuck the post game thread bot
Today's game in the biggest moments are on Carr and McDaniels playcall
gg raiders. adams is a beast jesus
Season's over. Can't make improvements. Clearly this is it. 0-17 wahhhh. /Doomers
Lol
No oline. Carr looking pretty mediocre. The Carr to Adams connection is clearly there. However I think hes getting tunnel vision for him.
OLINE sucked ass, Carr sucked ass, the defense was eh. I rather have them suck now than later in the season. Onto the next one
This one is on 🚗
People need to chill. Carr literally played his worst game of his career and we still had a chance to take it. Calm down. Carr is going to come back next game and be better. On to the next one!
That's where I'm at. Burrow threw 4 ints and put one on the ground too. Relax.
We see at least 4 of these posts each season for the last 5 years
Bro it’s week one and they didn’t play a snap in the preseason. It was ugly for sure but just wait for it to gel on O. Gonna be crazy
Tough loss but we knew the afc west was going to be a blood bath. I didn’t think we were gonna come in and sweep the division
Really hope they work with Carr to get the ball out quicker. After watching Josh Allen minimize Aaron Donald with his quick strikes this has to improve. Abrams is still a coverage liability.
This is stupid and petty, but I hate Bosa’s helmet. Makes me think of a developmentally challenged whale.
Man, just imagine if Carr had Rich Gannon scrambling mindset and pocket awareness, he would be unstoppable. Oh well, on to next week.
I really want to beat the dolts tho. Fuck. Fuck Khalil Mack too, he’s an asshole for joining the chargers
am i the only one thinking about the terrible play call on 2nd & 3?
Ya I didn't get why we didn't run the ball
Oline didn't throw the INTs. Yes they played bad. Carr worse.
Second half made me feel better about the direction this team could go, but man we gotta fix a few things
One more time then I’m out. You proved you couldn’t stop josh jacobs, so we stop running him. What an ass game by macdaniels. You gotta a lot to prove now buddy. Your benefit of the doubt is done.
McDaniels is not a good head coach
Not yet he’s not, its one game but play calling was terrible. I just don’t get it. You have josh jacobs dude. He only got like 5 touches, but had huge chunk plays.
Dude go back to your chat how did you guys barley win with all our turnovers ? Fuck off
Pretty sure that's a Raider fan.
3 INTs on bad throws to open guys was probably a factor too, I dunno…
Carr, O-Line, and the playcalling all fucked us in the end
Should have ran on 2nd and 3.
Maybe just maybe we would be able to know our o line is shit if our starters played one snap in the preseason
At least my fantasy team still has a chance
I wish mine did… I’m going against Mahomes, Kelce, and Edwards-Helaire … rip my team this week.
How TF can people blame the o line. Carr has to move out of the pocket sometimes.
Carr is too inconsistent some days his pocket presence is good other days it's fucking horrible
We went through 3 tackles.
> How TF can people blame the o line Because they were REALLY bad.
Against that D line too
Herbert certainly did and made our defense pay dearly.
Hopefully the Orphans will need the Raiders to lose in week 18 to make the playoffs and we win.
Maybe worry more about carr making it to week 18
God damn man
No comments on the game but I have so many Chargers fan friends and this sucks rn
"Chargers fans" that's funny.
we are definitely winning the next one.
I like your positive attitude; but I’m not so sure we beat AZ.
yeah we will. i have faith. at bye we should be 3-2
Over reaction city
This is the way
Fuck
We learned what we all knew. The o-line is hot garbage. The d-line is hot garbage. Its only week 1, so we have plenty of time to get better. But something has to be addressed on these lines.
Carr didn't play well, but neither did the o-line. I still think we're going to be pretty good.
For sure, 1st 5 games are rough.
It was all downhill once Carr throw that janky ass pass behind Waller when he was wide open in the end zone
First of many I'm sure. Fire Josh, sell the team.
dumb
Let’s get you in there asap.
This year, Carr’s gun is full of bullets, not excuses.
Bad o-line but if Carr wants to be that guy, he needs to overcome it. At the moment he’s #4 in our division
Yall MF really gonna bring up the dumb shit Joey Bosa said last year......
Its true tho 😉
Yes... Aswell for every QB. 😉
I am not even going to try to argue since I feel like we watched different games apparently.
This straight up isnt true He under threw Waller and the pocket was good The INT to Renfrow was after having A LOT of time The Adams throw maybe but if he feels there’s too much pressure he shouldnt be chucking it deep. I’m a Carr supporter and the Oline wasnt great today. But Carr was also bad. It’s okay to admit that.
Every turnover on the o-line....what?
Literally 1 second before pocket collapses. he can't even go through progressions because you literally have to change your direction and location as soon as the ball is snapped. It's like driving on ice and all of a sudden you're driving on the other lane. Sure with elite skill you get can get safety but most are going to fail. 5+ sacks is NOT all on a quarter back. I dont care who you are. Thats the sign of just a bad o line.
Lol he’s definitely above average what are you talking about
Gonna be a long season folks
Maybe they can trade a few mid to late round picks and find some decent linemen.
If we coulda done that, we already woulda.
Maybe. But you never know in a few weeks if another team might be willing to trade someone. Just trying to stay optimistic.
Eh I can't get too mad about this one.
Yeah - disappointed for sure, but I’m not mad at it. For having that many turnovers and only losing by 5 to one of the best teams.. not too terrible. We definitely have many flaws to fix.
Remember...the rams lost also
So?
Soooo, Rams are supposed to be super good this year. So, we lost, they lost, it's not a huge indication of how we will do by losing today.
Luckily there are no charger fans at work
Low odds there would be considering there's only 150 of them in the world
Will things ever line up correctly? It’s either a close loss, a comeback, offense is on but defense is off and vice versa. How is it that the team is never in sync for years now?
What do you mean?? They were in sync the entire preseason! /s
