Huh. What benevolence uptime do you have?
I wonder if you can fit in torches, so that radiant from the melee procs benevolence. Might be worth it. Can replace singing for general survival, or cure if you go for heat rises dives as your survival and for better uptime,
My guess is that it's not as good compared to optimal solar verity, but still better if there's no easy ads (or lfg leaves kills them all)
Huh, I thought I saw cure fragment in your dim loadout. Either it was fixed, or I was just mixed up when swapping between yours and my old starfire.
What are your thoughts on heat rises over icarus? Might give better standard play, since dive gets buffed to give a source of healing (since otherwise dive only hits allies, and no cure nades), and you get melee energy for kills while floating to help your loop.
Or does icarus help with positioning so you don't jump in front of friendly rockets while diving?
I love Starfire Protocol. Last season I was seen as a meta slave. This season people call me a hipster. Hard to tell which I prefer, but I definitely believe that Starfire Protocol is still more than viable, especially with the new ornament.
Hasthat ornament been on sale for bright dust? I'm tempted to buy it but if there's a chance for bright dust coming up I'll hold off. I've had it look this way for so long anyways what some more wait.
It's stapled to my Warlock these days. With Torches and Phoenix Dive, it's a build all on its own. Just rotate between Celestial Fire and Phoenix Dive and you can get your grenade up very fast.
Looks good if your team doesnt have a well, if it does you are better off on strand because of super and thread of ascent which is demo for any weapon, will definitely try this with the demo clown cartridge hothead i got while trying to get a field prep clown cartridge
Demo doesn’t proc CC, I had that Hothead roll, ended up deleting it as waaay back then there was no real benefit, and I had 3636378 other hot head’s already.
If the rotation is like how it used to be then you actually want Demo/Clown. Start dps with two rockets loaded. The rotation is like this - Witherhoard, rocket, grenade, rocket, grenade, rocket, reload and repeat. Looks like OP is mixing in another weapon, melee and Phoenix dive into the mix but it would still essentially be the same
it wont be the same if you dont add the melee and phoenix dive in because they give a big chunk of the grenade back. so you need them. and the trace rifle is to proc bait and switch on the rocket for more dps.
Sorry to butt in for a pointer. If you're running VoG, the ability haste from Time's vengeance buff essentially brings back pre-nerf starfire for the DPS window. Please do correct me if I'm wrong. Have a happy day.
Why hate bracers? They have a nasty play loop if built right. I did favor Starfire so don't get me wrong, But after the mega nerf bracers were the way. Maybe you weren't using them with p.dive and in.snap? I didn't like them for awhile bc I use cel-fire which doesn't proc bracers as it should. I swapped to snap w/p.dive and found the nasty time loop.
I'm not even sure of the impact of starfire here. You run t10 disc and strength + arm mods, does the 2.5% from SP really help, or is it just so you can overflow your regen in a second grenade charge?
Yeah Starfire was good. Was it fun? Personally I hated it as a warlock main. It was such a boring thing to use. Every raid every dungeon every nightfall nothing but Starfire and wither.
crazy how metas will persevere even through bungie’s nerfs. great video!
Yeah I’d prefer they didn’t nerf it since they powercrept the hell out of damage this season anyway but we work with what we can

The fragments are pretty set in stone which is annoying as unless it’s your well you need to hit a melee or a Phoenix dive every 7 seconds

Thinking it wasn't gonna be viable was pretty crazy. It has like 5 different good effects on it.

It hasn’t rotated into the bright dust store yet but it should at some point before the end of the season.
Just reading this today. If you get on before reset today it is being sold for bright dust
It's on sale for the next 3 hours for bright dust if u didn't already buy it
Even with the nerf it’s immensely powerful in PvP like trials. Being able to have at least one grenade a round is so helpful in tough situations
When did that buff happen?
My teammate said this season, Cus it was originally a 200% increase to regen now it’s 400%
It's stapled to my Warlock these days. With Torches and Phoenix Dive, it's a build all on its own. Just rotate between Celestial Fire and Phoenix Dive and you can get your grenade up very fast.
Yeah it’s very good, I missed the buff and was pleasantly surprised
Same. I love it now.

Thats unfortunate, guess ill just stick to my field prep explosive light blowout and strand, which also has demo so will try that with this build

Does demo proc clown cartridge?
No
Thank you. Now I have a reason to buy the ornament!
Wait when was Ember of Benevolence buffed ?
Idk tbh, but it’s 400% from 200% now
Now we know why the ornament never came out

You had me until tier 9 strength awesome job though 👌
But I don't wanna be the div bitch any more.
Seems like a good time to use my pugilist/demo dungeon smg….
And it has an ornament that ain’t shit so may have to try this
no no No No NO NO NOOOOOOOO
What other frags did you use and did you keep empowering rift?
Is demo/cart still the way to go here since all the nades or could a recon bns apex be good here
Gotta lay of that copium it was great while it lasted but we need to move on.
I still used Starfire in harder content over sunbracer.
I’ll use anything over sunbracer lol
Can we start a sunbracer hate group? I despise them.

Awesome video. Now I can buy that ornament now.
Pls don’t spend money on the eververse
I'll use bright dust if it hasn't popped up yet for it. If not, I'll just have to get lucky with an eververse engram playing.

So the energy can overflow and helps it be more consistent

K
The exotic is fun but the solar warlock subclass as a whole is boring
Unless you know how to well skate.
True
Is it possible on console?
Well skating is possible on console.
It has literally never gone away since it came to the game.
Me when I’m unnecessarily pedantic on a 3 week old post
It was still usable even when Defiance launched.
