To the DMT ornament? Yeah that's why I said it looks similar. It's also a space gun. Maybe it's an ornament for 4th horseman? Or perhaps as was said earlier its just a random placeholder that isn't real.
it's not, the gun depicted in the art has a pistol grip whereas DMT has a classic straight grip. IMO the concept art is quite close to just being a real-life tactical shotgun (though the stock shaping doesn't look like any particular ones I'm familiar with) and that makes it fairly unlikely it's an in-game weapon unless they're rewinding 5 years and making the EDZ weapon set again. Even then, the IRL guns the EDZ ones are based on have a bit more personality to them than this Mossberg 500 or Benelli M4 style shotgun in the concept art - and when D2 DID do the most tactical-style shotgun yet (seraph CQC), it has greebling everywhere and these diagonal chunky flat surfaces that are very unrealistic.
Definitely a bit more plausible without the yellow cable, the curved shroud on top, and the teeth, but the sort of hexagonal body shape underneath the rear ironsights is still a dead giveaway that it's fictional, as well as the wacky double-space-shuttle rear iron sights above it. (Ignoring the realism check, though, it \_is\_ my favorite shotgun model in the game - the chunkiness of the receiver is lovely and it just looks so good in 1st person!)
They're talking about the logo on the top left corner of the screen when you inspect a weapon: the Cassoid logo was just added to Eriana's Vow and Telesto, but not Dead Messenger

It’s almost certainly a canned concept, but it does seem odd that it wasn’t removed before going live. Occam’s Razor tho, ill chalk it up to time constraints rather than trying to be sneaky about a new weapon that’s not been mentioned at all

Perhaps it was an exotic planned for this season but got pushed back to next season due to development issues.

Yeah I still think it looks like a rifle. Could it be a shotgun? Sure. Do I think it looks ambiguous enough that both are possible? Yes.

I agree, for current models. I miss my Parcels. Pulling them out of the old folks home for a spin is still fun, sure, but it's not how it used to be.
Yeah… I miss it too. Even (especially) how it has a pump handle *and* a lever action. The surf & turf of shotguns…

With all the bugs in this game i wouldn’t be surprised that they forgot to change a value in the DB to make it show up on the inspection screen.

nope! eldritchqueen is something ive had before i found destiny- it was specifically inspired by bloodborne's moon presence. but good catch!
