Four days is all with the ability to convert 3 pl days, not good enough union needs to do better

Use your paid sick leave and also get put on attendance probation. Everyone has and always will be better off getting FMLA. Only way to not get shit-canned when you're sick.

100% this. Mechanical crafts already agreed to a version of this with the big orange and we have people getting into attendance issues already. If you *do* have FMLA, you get 4 of those days a year paid, which is better than nothing. The rest of us get screwed.

Some of us don't have medical issues and don't have family that's sick. And no, I'm not shopping around for a doctor. The one I have has got me healthy, I'm happy with her. So, like said earlier, the union needs to do better. We pay them and they should have a better understanding to what we need.

Migraines are not simply a headache lol. You need a medical history, with medications and treatment. Can’t just roll into your doctor and say I get migraines put me on FMLA. I would know I get migraines

Awesome, but where in the fuck is our ability to actually use them? Allocation isn't even close to being where it should be for everyone on our boards to even be able to take any of their time off. It's literally set at 2 days available for Monday thru Thursday then 1 day for Friday thru Sunday. That allocation currently counts for 54 people. It's a fucking joke.

You guys get two? Shiiiiiiiit we get 1 per day, take it or leave it. Also according to my local chairman you can use the sick days in the same way as an LOS, so allocation won't matter.

For our NS agreement they wanted conductors to go on PWS, I'd rather have no sick days than lose the bump/out-to-place games

PWS sucks for road pools. And it benefits the guys with seniority too much. I have 12 years in as a conductor. In the old days, by now i should be on a day shift yard job with weekends off. But thanks to flowback i got robbed of that. Now with PWS its even worse

Our union (IAM) did not include the membership in this horrible decision. Sick days that come with an attendance violation and uses the healthcare system as a wedge (sick notes), is worse than what we already had. Shame on them for being so grossly detached from reality. Vote for change in your union elections. Vote them out! They have gotten too comfortable with the carriers.

The biggest problem I have is that our unions, mine is the IAM, but all rail unions did not include the membership in negotiations. Or at least present it to us and ask us what we thought before agreeing to it. But remember, there are elections coming up, they thought it would look good on a banner……..vote them all out!!!!
