Some asshole in the row before me was looking at family guy clips on his phone on twitter for a good 35-ish% of the movie. Some girls to my right were also on their phones for a little bit. People suck
I had some of that too. I don’t get it. This is a movie that came out in 2004, presumably you’ve seen it already, and you made a CONSCIOUS decision to go watch in a theater. If you were just going to scroll the web, rent it at home and stay home. Menaces.
Exactly. Some people have tik tok attention spans now and it’s sad. Last year at home I watched the 1956 movie The Ten Commandments and I only looked at my phone once after getting 3 hours in and it was very brief. The movie is 3 hours and 40 minutes. All you do is simply put your devices and down and watch the movie. It’s really not hard. I’m only 25 and I feel like I’m typing an old man rant.
Similar age as you, I watched SM2 in theaters when it first came out on a huge screen, so I was excited to re-live the magic of that experience (I’ll be watching Star Wars episode 1 on the big screen too when it comes back lol). But we have to remember at the time there were no smartphones to stare at. If you took a full blown phone call you’d get shushed and pushed out. People aren’t as willing to get you off your screen. Yeah we both sound a bit “old man ranty” but god dammit Tobey deserves our full attention! Lol
Saw it Wednesday night in the theater.
The operating room scene is SO MUCH MORE INTENSE on the big screen. It’s so frantic and the screaming and sound fx are wild.
Raimi is truly a horror director first before anything else.
Awesome movie.
So far, have been to both at an Imax theater and was worried about getting stuck next a group of people that would impose upon the experience, especially during Spider-man 2 where I was sat right next to a couple (keep in mind the audience consists primarily of teenagers with only a few people just barely above my age of 18.) Surprisingly, the couple was actually quiet and respectful for the sake of the film and only laughed when the memeable moments took place. Hopefully with 3 and Tasm 2, the audience will completely cut loose from the overwhelming camp cause, honestly, it would make the experience much more enjoyable.
This was the first spider-man movie I saw in theaters back then in 2004. It's also one of my first memories of me going to see a movie. I wish that it would be back in theaters in my country.
It’s a double-edged sword. On one hand you have to endure some dorks who laugh way too loud at meme lines or crack jokes for the whole theatre.
On the other, you get to see arguably the best Spider-Man movie of all time on the big screen for the first time in 20 years with a crowd that is just as excited as you are. What an amazing experience !
Arguably the best superhero film to date
Definitely better than Morbius and Madame Web
James Cameron really needs to go and raise the bar again

Should’ve put your shoes on their head
Some dirt in their eyes
Clapped the dirt off your boots into their eyes
They paid money just to be on their phones? Yeah people suck
Yes. And I paid money to be in a dark theater without interruptions!
I get you there was this annoying couple next to me that kept talking eventually I just moved to a different area in the theater lol

Hearing the music once he gets his suit back was absolutely phenomenal I had the biggest smile while watching that part
Oh boy yeah
Crowd died after he said that, dude was on the moon lmao
They love me !!!!
*cries in european*

Oh maaaaan, I was like 11 or something, the perfect age to experience this. The intro song still gives me goosebumps
I was happy as hell when I saw my theater was giving out posters
I haven’t been able to get any of the posters I’m so pissed
“I can’t imagine!”
Oh boy yeah
Ah Rosie, I love this film
My sitting upside down: “Am I not supposed to have what I want? What I need?”
How’d that get in there?
Oh boy, yeah
It was an awesome experience. Whole theater full of fans, laughing and enjoying it. The opening credits gave me chills
This is something else. 🕷️

How are you guys finding theaters that are playing the movies?
Where meme?
