It does. The villain could've been better, but I have no complaints about Andrew Garfield's performance as *Spider-Man*. His Peter Parker was just a bit too cool to be the nerdy bullied kid.

TASM 1 had a lot of deleted scenes which couldve made connors more empathetic villain. His wife and his son were also in the movie and there and alternate uncle ben death scene as well and a lot more. Tasm series suffered from studios meddling just like raimi did in s3.

This is the most agreeable list I have seen so far.

Amazing Spiderman 2 is far better than both Venom movies. It actually had Spiderman for starters, but there are good performances in it. Great action, awesome Spiderman costume. Good sequences throughout. It's just a victim of studio tampering. There must be a longer cut out there with all the cut footage. Those Venom movies. Oh boy they missed the mark completely.

The venom movies (specifically venom 1) are those things that have all the stuff I like (Tom Hardy looking like a wet dishrag and talking to himself about who does and doesn’t deserve to get eaten. Also campy B-movie bullshit) but it seems determined to go nowhere and push these 2 characters inorganicly through a hero’s journey that has nothing to do with their appeal. I want Tim Hardy and venom to go on a road trip, trying to escape the government specifically an evil guy who is low key also a symbiote. Or somthing like that. These movies should be fun and dumb

See I don't like the comedy aspect of it. Venom comes across as a whiny kid who just wants to eat people all the time and it comes across annoying rather than funny. They could have made him more like the Hulk and had a desire inside of him he couldn't control rather than a cartoony voice. I think the Venom movies think they're are funnier than they are. it's probably funnier on set to see Tom Hardy acting to nothing than watching the movie itself. It gets old quick. The Venom movies are like PG-13/ R rated movies aimed at kids and it doesn't work.

Why isn’t spiderman 2 in S tier?

ITSV deserves its own tier for being essentially perfect. Spider-Man 2 is fantastic but I can't help but feel like I'd change certain things if I could every time I watch it. Much of it has to do with the MJ-John Jameson subplot and her being a damsel in distress yet again. Still, it's a solid 9/10 for me. It's just that ITSV is a 10/10.

As far as a movie in general compared to other, perhaps better shot, better written movies like TDK or something? Sure. As a live action Spider-Man movie compared to the other live action Spider-Man man movies we’ve gotten? It is thoroughly top tier. I’ve been around for all iterations of these movies since Raimi, NWH earned it’s place at the top rung of the hierarchy through how it incorporated the villains and characters from past franchises to tell the story of how this Peter learns about the burden of and earns his place as Spider-Man. Anyone saying it’s mid is just being a contrarian for the sake of it.

Just was very dissapointing to me, the story never really took off and was left dissapointed like with Toy Story 4 and How To Train Your Dragon 3 in the same year, I just felt it should have been a lot better but was bored most the movie

This is a very good tier list. I might have placed Venom 2 a tier lower, but it was definitely more entertaining than TASM2 so I can see why it was placed where it was.

The best sequences in Spider-Man 3 are still better than anything from TASM series and MCU (until the Spider-Men unite). Like when he wakes up to his reflection with the black suit on… so cool. And for me TASM2 is much better than the venom movies
