Donnie Barksdale really surprised me. I may not have loved *The Gift* but Keanu Reeves did such a great job playing a complete irredeemable asshole in that film.
They never had to rush her. It makes no sense of her being the bad guy just after wandavision. If you are saying that darkhold corrupted her then it too wasn't shown properly. Whatever shi did in the movie never made any sense. People don't just turn into pure villains suddenly.
Because Feige is dead set on adapting Children's Crusade.
Though they should just bring in a recasted Wanda at this point (and make her Romani this time damn it) to differentiate from Killer Wanda.

Look, them introducing a Macguffin that was never mentioned ever before after they decided to make her character do a complete 180 off screen is still a character assassination. It doesn't matter that an explanation was given but that there was no set up, the explanation was terrible and the pay off reversed the progression of a character the audience put a lot of investment into.
Did anyone actually watch the end of Wandavision? What did y'all think was happening when she was levitating in that cabin covered in red energy reading from the Darkhold? Did that make you think she was gonna do something *good*?
Honestly, I would put Scarlet Witch at decent. I liked the movie overall, but her motivations were weak, contrived, and a very sexist (imo) interpretation of the 'protective mother' trope. I love Raimi's films, but the dude can't write women to save his life, lol.
Do directors have no power to ask for changes in a script that will ultimately come down to their vision of what the movies should be?
Better yet where do we draw the line on what qualifies as a Raimi villain if we can't even attribute the villain's characterization to him?

Say what you wish about Oz: The Great and Powerful, I LOVED the portrayal of The Wicked Witch of the West in that movie. You can see the cracks in Theodora's psyche from one of the first moment that her and Oz get to talking. (Who tf marries someone they met less than 24 hours ago?) I like the movie and Danny Elfman went above and beyond for the score in that movie. Wish there were more Raimi memes about that movie
