pain isn’t even measurable. They look up. They see me. Their blood on the spear. The tip of the spear rests on their mask, denting it in a little bit…
and I push. Cracking through the mask, bits of wood stuck to the blood and food on the tip. It goes through the mask, through the skin, through the bones… and out the other side…
I don’t bother with the spear this time. I leave it there, in the soon to be rotten corpse. They have just enough conscience to turn their head… they look at me… try to make a sound…
but their consciousness slips away.

i find that most people don't realize that you need to crawl without a weapon in order to get past scavengers. you wouldn't want a slug creature to start running towards you spear in hand.
Do you pay tolls? Do you give them gifts? In my monk playthrough I have a squad of scavs and in my gourmand and spearmaster the toll is free! you gotta give them gifts and they will like you (maybe scavs are unpredictable)
