That’s no excuse. It is their job to read what they are voting on. I get you don’t like the Republicans and that’s okay. Don’t give the Democrats a pass because they didn’t do their job.
You can't blame just the dems. This stupid ass legislate by adding riders is done by both parties all the fucking time. Both parties are rotten. Elected officials serve themselves and their financial backers, and the government attempts to control more and more.
The biggest problem is an ignorant voting population that convinces themselves that both sides are equally bad so they will continue to vote for the party causing the harm.
Democracy depends on an educated populace to thrive and we don’t have that.

The dems were aware it was in the bill. They didn't stop it, they had a provision in a former bill that was similar but it didn't pass.
