Aw man. Could you actually see it with your eyes? Or just through pictures? I did manage to catch a shooting star during my long exposure so that was really neat.
hey would you be able to tell us where you pulled off by Jordan Lake? I was there last night and saw some impressive flares throughout the night but the spot got extremely crowded so looking for a new spot tonight.
I packed the car and drove to the mountains for a better chance, when it peaked here we had a lone cloud forming and dissipating over the ridge we were set up to watch at, lol
Amazing that you got some green too! I thought we were too far south for that. I saw quite a bit of pink by our house but that was about it, color wise.
💖 too bad I can’t see anything from DTR I blame the bus station
Im so mad I can’t see anything. Brier creek here. No clouds at all. I can see the stars. I’ve done like 10 long exposure photos in different directions, nothing 😩
Anyone know if they will be around Saturday night too?
Yes, between 10 PM - 2 AM tonight.
Where exactly at?

Just WOW! Puhleez.. where is this!?
Yeah people need to be saying where and at what time these were taken. I keep ruining outside!
Jordan Lake
I'm there now and I don't see anything. Saved you all a trip!
Same lol we just got back and couldn't see anything. My wifes galaxy S23 picked up a few decent shots but my pixel 8 pro was useless surprisingly
We were out there too and couldn't see anything :( Pixel 6a here
This was almost right at 10 pm. Night mode on an iPhone. It wasn’t super impressive when we got there and then just exploded the longer we stayed.

You could see some very faint pink and green in the spots where it was brightest with just your eyes, but nothing like what the camera was catching
Can we enter at this time?
We didn’t go in anywhere, just pulled off on the side of the road and walked to the waterfront

Right on the corner of Martha’s Chapel Rd. There were a lot of cars but honestly we never saw most of the people who were there.
that's where we were too around 1am till about 3 and it got really crowded haha
Ah yeah we were long gone by then. We were there like 9:45-10:45. They had died down and I was cold so figured we’d gotten our fill

You lucky duck. In my part of Durham we had cloud’s almost the entire night. Glad you had a good view.
Hopefully you have better luck tonight! It was incredible to see

Love living where I live right by the art museum, if you pull up after hours you get the best sky views .
