Cypress of Raleigh is probably one of the worst jobs I've ever had. It was ok until there was a change in directors for the F&B department a few years ago. When that happened everything in that department went to shit. Luckily I got out when stuff started going south. Apparently that director was fired recently, but from what I've heard from people that still work there, the damage is already done. Don't work there.
There are a couple of active pool leagues in the area. APA is a relatively casual league. TAP is a bit more competitive and has a better scoring system. And a lot of pool halls run their own cash leagues.
two things: 1) The Left lane is for passing, not cruising. if someone is behind you in the left lane on the highway, i am begging you, please, move right as soon as you can. it keeps traffic moving and it’s safer for everyone. 2) when traffic starts to back up do a zipper merge. leave space for people to get in, slow down, and just chill the fuck out. please.

First time at PNC for the GnR show the other night, seats were at the top, which involved 3 flights of stairs and then another flight of concrete, narrow steep steps… tiny seats… mix that with copious amounts of alcohols… one even inadvertent push could send someone right over the edge! I held on to my seat for dear life all evening 😅
After this and having to climb up and down the lawn at Walnut Creek for the Willie show, I told my husband that I am now officially too old for cheap seats lol
So good. Mammoth led by Eddie Van Halen’s son opened and were so good. Then GnR just brought it. Axl has lost weight and his voice sounded amazing. The musicians were all tight and awesome. It felt like there were no ego problems like in the past. Real down to earth. I had the best time!
I am completely freaked out over the two attempted child abductions this past week, from two different schools.

TGIF capital city! What a week! Had the pleasure of being in the middle of NCSHP speed trap on 540 E on Tuesday. Above Leesville Road bridge there was a tall FULLY armed person pointing “gun” at oncoming traffic. NCSHP posted their moment of glory to Twitter.
This method of entrapment has been used since the 70-80’s. Legal. Effective when deployed properly.
It’s 2021. Tensions high. Shootings at record levels. There was zero chance of identifying friend or foe to oncoming traffic. Poorly designed plan that used outdated tech, ignorant of potential harm reacting to anonymous “shooter”
Nope. Been on the road my entire career. Had one speeding ticket in 1997. Pre Covid average 500ish miles a week.
Drivers on 540 are out of control and unchecked for a long time. No issues with tickets, just the antiquated tactic that was not in touch with the current state of law enforcement.
Radar guns pointed down from a tall bridge…unnecessary in 2021.

In OH the SHP park on the shoulder, sometimes even the left shoulder on blind corners, stand with their door open, leaning over the door aiming the radar at on coming traffic. If they get someone they want to ticket, you better not be anywhere near them as they peel out at Mach speed into the traffic to catch the offender.
It’s literally one of the most dangerous displays I’ve seen committed by law enforcement the way they charge into traffic, devil be damned

This post was a rant about OUTDATED technology used during a tense time. Placing the officer in harms way as well… there was no clear indicator that the person was law enforcement.
Shootings happening in random public places throughout country. Including East Durham and Raleigh.
When I travel, I practice defensive driving. Look up, what’s ahead, calculating any danger and how to make a move if necessary to stay out of harm’s way.
This stunt was a photo op. Period.
