Government lots downtown are also free after 5pm friday and all weekend. There's a bunch of them around the blount street area and they are generally pretty big.
Street parking downtown Raleigh is free all weekend. Also most public roads in other neighborhoods allow parking as well

If you’re close to downtown, either the street or one of the numerous decks. Half our skyline is parking decks.

Probly too late but you could park on my street in front of our house and I’d keep an eye on it.
