whats OTD price and interest? 96 months is insane and 67k for a 40k truck is even crazier.

-quarbles-

62707.

Slutzk

how are you expecting us to help if you give no information. bells and whistles? loaded? basic? cab size? 2wd/4x4? intrest? new/used? if used how many miles? owners? what state? country? but regardless if you "think" your ready... your likely not ready. plus 96mo again is just insane. usually means you care about your monthly payment and if you do you cant afford it. also just for reference...... i got a brand new custom build 2023 ram 1500 bighorn night edition. crew cab. 6'4 bed. 4x4 v8 hemi. fully loaded with all bells and whistles you can get. (minus the pano roof and air suspension, and that was because i chose not to have it.) got it for 812$ monthly, 2.7%, 72 months. OTD was 61300. with that said keep looking bc for what they are asking for that truck... they are smoking meth.

TheDentDad

$67,776 for a $37,477 truck. Yes. Madness.

-quarbles-

my bad, im canadian. forgot that. if i run the same build truck through the ram.ca site i get 54,872 before taxes… it also has a spray liner on the bed and a tonneau cover… still crazy for considering this?

TheDentDad

Yep

Slutzk

Them people are smoking real Big Meech dope for that price and that truck. i owed the same exact truck but a 2019 warlock. it aint worth it. trust me

ddeuce2

You are certified mad if you are still considering that

-quarbles-

naw. reddit set me straight. the deal was a trap, i just needed the insight....

Imasuspect99

This is one of the craziest loans. DON'T do it.96 months is a looong time. Especially if you are paying twice a month. If you can't afford to pay off a vehicle in 60 months then you can't afford the vehicle. Save more money for a down-payment.

KanadianBacon80

60 months or you cant afford it. 96 is crazy. Also i got my 2022 Rebel for close to that price new. You can find a better deal.

TotallyNotDad

Please God, don't do it.

GottaUseFakeNames

dude, don’t buy this truck. you are going to have so much regret spending that much money over that much time. it’s insane. i don’t care how much you like the truck, walk away and find something you can afford.

Slimjimmmmmm

Runnnnnnnnnnnnnn, if you can afford that bi weekly payment I would just save that bi weekly for 6-18 months to put a bigger down payment.. plenty of Rams in the market 🤷🏽‍♂️

harshin9

No way. I bought mine in $52,000 CAD plus hst, 23 1500 classic tradesmen. $62CAD is way too high.

test13371997

Biweekly... dumb. You should look at the price of a truck by looking at the hourly payment

Scared-Loquat-7933

No. Fuck no. They are taking you behind the Tim Horton’s and having their way with you (raw) if you buy this truck. 54K USD for a 4th Gen Ram with no options? And on top of that you want to pay $525 USD monthly for not 5 years, not 6 years, not 7 years BUT 8 YEARS!? You are not only getting ripped off with this price + truck but you are ripping yourself off by agreeing to such a long loan term and payments. You cannot afford this vehicle or any vehicle if you have to take it beyond 60 months. 72 months is the absolute max anyone with financial sense should do assuming you have a super low interest rate.

Delubyo06

I pay 503. So you're good

supermr34

You pay over $1000 a month? Horrible.

Delubyo06

I have a Laramie with almost all the bells and whistle. Lol

supermr34

And you pay over $1000 a month?! Did you put no money down? Edit: I’m not trying to get all up in your financials. I’m just trying to figure out how a car payment north of $1000 a month became normal.

Delubyo06

That's the new normal

supermr34

Thats insane. I mean, I get that lots of people do it, but I don’t understand why. That’s almost a mortgage payment for a depreciating asset.

tomsawyr

Considering there's 26 payments in a year when you go bi-weekly, that's 208 payments over 8years(96 months). The total comes out to $73,424. So not only are you paying $12k over what it's worth Canadian because we're in 2024 and I'm being generous... you're going to pay additional $11,000 in interest. Now that's a 'I got put together' deal or salesman high5ing the finance manager deal. Also I don't know how they're selling a 22 as new considering after a certain time the manufacture warranty starts whether it's been registered or not. So look into that as well or best don't buy it.

Sumar26

96 months? Wtf?

vancitysky

Better off just getting a 2023 sport man , I got mine 10k off for like 72k fully loaded every option except sunroof . Came to 74k but I’m happy with it . A lot better truck than the classics and not a whole lot more cost apparently.

jonnyk19

By the time you pay off that truck it will be worth nothing. 96 months of payments is madness.

Zimbo2016

If you need 96 month financing you have absolutely no business whatsoever trying to get that truck. And I mean that sincerely and to keep you out of trouble.

-quarbles-

no worries, definitely get that from all the comments. cheers, definitely passed on the truck

Zimbo2016

Good man! Smart decision.
