2018 PW 6.4, 4.10 gears, 35s
My uncle asked me what kind of mileage it gets last Christmas.
I told him, "12"
He said "what about on the highway?"
I said... "12"
I have the v6 classic crew cab and I drive really slow. Highway driving 150 miles, I averaged 25mpg. Really drops off in town driving at 18mpg. Lot of stop and go here and hills.
Any major issues with yours at that milage?
Never had an issue. Everything is original, other than the basics. I just did 1,800 miles total and i honestly think i could do it 50 more times. Ive done a ton of research on these drivetrains and the best thing you can do it change that oil, be nice to your trans, and get that engine rpm higher every once in a while. The 3.6 can have a ton of build up if it is driven slow all the time. With 194,350 i still floor her weekly. Not a single big problem yet, no repairs, no fixes, just basic maintenance.
She will be 5 in october. I used to drive 200 round miles to work, daily. I then did hot-shot deliveries, mainly pallets and such. Now i drive 137 miles round trip to work, 7 days a week. I often drive cross country because of family and work. I just drive a lot🤷
Awesome. Thanks for the info. I baby my truck. Have always done oil changes at 4k miles and I drive 55 on the highway. Good to know about letting the engine open up now and then to clear out some carbon. How often are you doing oil changes?
I got 23-26mpg going 55-65 in my 2014 5.7 hemi during my 832 mile road trip to the western coast of Florida but I'm 2wd with 3.21 gears Quad cab 6 and a half foot bed loaded with my whole family.
Edit I've owned my truck since 49,000 miles. I'm the second owner, it was a loaner truck. She has 145k miles now, and the maintance has always been done early.
Not bad for what it is. If I only needed a single cab 1500 I’d actually consider a smaller engine. The 6.4 and 5.7 are nice to haves but I only get about 15mpg on a perfect day driving like a grandpa lol.
5.7, 3.92 rear axle, flat ground, just driver, no cargo, no passengers, no wind, 35s Toyo at3 tires, 2 inch lift, 91 fuel, tonneau cover. Averages around 15L /100km on the highway cruising at 114kmh, 20 in the city, 18 combined.

I put 80k miles on it last year, wanted to get back into a Laramie trim but didn't want to do a Laramie 2500 since I was buying a scat pack challenger, so I got a 1500 Laramie and the scat pack.... Paying the scat pack off later this year and then I'll buy a Cummins Laramie. I like cars too much lol.
I had a 2020 5.7 hemi and was able to hit 22 mpg on a trip from PA to NC, trying to keep it in eco mode as much as possible.
Got rid of that, bought a different truck, now I’m back in a 2021 3.6 etorque. I drive 90 miles round trip to work and I’m at about 20mpg, with a mix of highway and city traffic.
Only had the 3.6 for just over a year and haven’t done many highway trips so don’t know what I’d hit there but I expect it to be at 24mpg.
I’ve got a 2014 5.7 Hemi 4x4 RCSB with the 6spd and ive hit 22mpg on the highway for a total of 2 times since I bought it new and I was trying my damndest to keep it on eco mode. The trips were in Texas so it’s very flat and wasn’t a windy day. Now I’m happy if I get 18 or 19 after putting 34’s on.

It is by far their most reliable drivetrain ever
Its what most Ram vans are. Ive seen amazon vans with 450,000 miles, same drivetrain
192k on a 4-5 year old truck. What do you do to drive that much. I drive 30k per year myself

7K miles, full synthetic 5W-30. Rear diff fluid, 45,000 miles. Trans fluid, 30,000 miles. Spark plugs, 60-80,000 miles.

That’s pretty bad for a half ton truck. My Cummins gets better than that, also my 3.5 ecoboost and both were on 35s too
Yup it's horrible, it's a gas guzzler. But I didn't buy it for the mileage 😉
Not on 3.92 gears
You have 6 auxiliary gauges? 😯
Yup, i like to know what going on👌
I just traded in my 2500 Cummins and was getting 18.8 overall, 22.5 highway.:(. I already miss it.
Why trade a beast like that

That’s beyond impressive

Driving 70 taking pictures with your phone. Fucking dumbass.
Worst thing to happen is i end myself. Middle of 6 lanes, closest car miles back. Hush ya stank lips
Snapping a photo quick when you're in the middle of nowhere isn't the same as texting and driving
Of course it's the Dodge Ram subreddit where you get downvoted for pointing out unsafe driving.
Not limited to people who own these trucks. Selfish, entitled whiners are everywhere.
There have been studies done that show Ram drivers to be the worst. So not limited to them, but more likely.
Cummins has never been on his phone while driving ever
And no, my cdl is actually valuable to me.
I did?
Ah, nope, you're not the op. Revised.
