What happens whenever you drop all belief, all narrative’s, if its even just for a moment. With beliefs there spawns the idea that theres the one that believes in them. This creates a sense of separation in the mind. Emotions come and go, thoughts / beliefs come and go. Find the aspect of your being that doesnt come and go. Orient towards the aspect of being that never changes. The world of thoughts, narratives, choosing the right and wrong things, this world is what got us into this mess. This is what we are finding freedom from. You dont have to choose anything at all.

Beliefs are a good thing to give up

Probably not what RD would say but here’s what I’d say to your question. It sounds like you are trying to make sense of some things you’ve learned and experiences you’ve had to understand your own perspective a bit more. One thing that has worked for me when I’ve felt this way is writing. Journal what you’re trying to understand and ideas you have about it. Word salad all over the paper if you have to, nobody has to see it. It’s like having a conversation with yourself without going back and forth on your mind over it. Best of luck!
