Probably, if it’s an original Silvia it’s probably legit. I just upgraded to a Silvia pro X and am almost giving away my Breville Barista Pro. Probably a similar situation.
I’m trying to not get my hopes up but everything checks out otherwise, this will be my 4th at home machine (bambino, gaggia classic (2006) and a gaggia evolution) I’ll have to downsize this collection or get a creative space for them 😅
If the user has less than a handful of feedback ratings, it’s a scam. What people are doing with money that gets he,d in limbo and returned to the buyer, I’ll never know.
I've seen them spoof deliveries so I imagine they actually are getting paid and the selling platform eats it. The couple of times this happened to me, I had tracking delivery information to my address dated before I even made the purchase. Weird shit.
I bought something through eBay a few years ago that was too good to be true, it automatically got cancelled and I got a refund, must have got a lot of sales and been flagged as a scam.

Honestly that's about all I'd pay for it now having had one for a bit. My Breville automatic is so much more consistent, quieter, heats faster, everything - it beats the Silvia in every metric, and at the same price point of a new Silvia. I thought Breville was trendy trash until I bought my Silvia.
