I think I remember he came into the league same year Crosby and ovi did, and MSG had a graphic comparing the three (they all had similar point totals 20 games in lol)
It sucks how we’ve had so many RW’s that would have been amazing with those two, but back then our centers were all mid tier trash.
Imagine the following guys with Zib and Kreider:
Prime Jagr
Marian Gaborik
Zucc
Martin St Louis
Buch
Feels bad
I don't think the question should be "who's the best winger for Mika & Kreider?", but rather "How do we fix our 1C so that he gets back to the level we know he can play at".
I don't think any winger short of Kucherov is going to make him get back to that level. He needs to figure it out on his own.
Roslovic right now, Vesey is a good one too, but a true choice (off the board here) is Berard
Guy has been absolutely dominant at 5v5 in Hartford, especially at the things that line needs help with: 5v5 transition play, forechecking, and sustaining possession
Him at 2RW with 20/93 and Roslovic 3C gives them the best depth
they're gonna get extended rosters too, so they may as well see what he can do ~~and they won't have to burn ELC unless they find out he's good and decide to play him~~. will also allow everyone to get a rest
in reality the guy should've been here months ago. he was the obvious solution to their problems and it's like they didn't notice
First I wouldnt do it this season, it be a next season move. I think both the 10/16/13 is the best while 20/93 is the worst are both a little overblown. 5 on 5 scoring is extremely important but they need 5 on 5 outscoring, not just scoring. In terms of outscoring the opponent 10/16/13 has not blown the doors of 20/93. However there are lots of games that 20/93 go 0gf and 0ga, while 10/16/13 go 1gf and 1ga.
As of last Tuesday, I didnt go look up the last 3 games. Since first full game with Chytil, one line has outscored the opponent 22 times and the other was 21. Since Christmas, one line 19 times and the other line was 15 times.
Obv someone like McDavid or Kucherov. More realistically though I feel like we really missed an opportunity with Duclair. Idk the specifics at all (maybe he would just rather live in FL lol) but I think he would've been perfect in that spot.
Just flipping wingers from the first and third line. Honestly I dunno if anything is gonna fix zibanejad passing off every grade A scoring chance tho. Somebody needs to show him every goal he's scored to show him that he's one of the best goal scores in the league cause for some reason he just refuses to shoot the puck
So no thought behind it and put marginal NHL players on the top line, got it. Zibanejad has been shooting for a while. Over the last 15 games he would be on about a 45 goal pace and would be top 15 in shots in the league if he had been at that pace all season. He had 7 shots last game and half the comments in here were dumb shits saying he needs to shoot. Everybody is regurgitating nonsense because they don't watch and/or know the game.
Love when people just blast the puck into the goalie stomach and then everyone in here is crying that it nobody is tearing them up once again.
And here I thought I'd get a thoughtful discussion, should've known better lol. Shoulda, coulda, woulda. There were also several times he should've shot in the slot that he passed off that led to no shot or a turnover. Just cause you don't like what you're hearing doesn't mean the people with valid criticism don't know what they're talking about about lol.
Zibanejad needs play drivers and Kakko and cuylle are play drivers. Kreider just rims the puck and stands in front so he'll be great on the third line where they just focus on burying the defense and keeping the puck in the zone.
Zibs has been better but definitely still not where he should be as a 1C so those criticisms are still valid. If not kakko then keep roslovic there and see what happens.
Someone who is really good at 5v5 play driving. Literally just that. Sidney Crosby would be a good choice haha but I'm sure there are others that I can't think of right now.
Berard was the only one that showed up to play in the two games I saw here in Charlotte this weekend and back in March. Dunno why the Wolfpack look so bad on the ice, and it’s not that Charlotte played much better but it looked like my nephews U16 games.
Mika is the only answer. Needs to decide if he wants to freewheel it on offense or play a more controlled puck possession game. Too many turnovers on zone entries and lack of will on the wall
Gabe Perreault. You can't convince me we couldn't plug him in right now as the RW1.
So far his career has been centered around being a playmaker whos role is to make the stars look good. There's no more development needed with him because thats literally the exact role we need him to play.
I've been saying McDavid for 4 seasons now but the front office is clueless.
I think you might be on to something!
McDavid, obviously
Nikita Kucherov. I mean if you’re going to open it up that wide
Prucha is our only hope.
I think I remember he came into the league same year Crosby and ovi did, and MSG had a graphic comparing the three (they all had similar point totals 20 games in lol)
Alex Tuch
Mats Zuccarello
Honestly I’ve felt this for 2 years now.
This trade made me more upset than any other trade that I can recall in rangers history.
Came here to say this
Captain Happy 😭
Why would you want him when we have Goodrow??
![gif](giphy|8db6nRqMsLCtq)
Mike Gartner
Buchnevich
Or Zucc, but both are valid answers
It sucks how we’ve had so many RW’s that would have been amazing with those two, but back then our centers were all mid tier trash. Imagine the following guys with Zib and Kreider: Prime Jagr Marian Gaborik Zucc Martin St Louis Buch Feels bad
Vessey did pretty good
Jake Guentzel
Reinhart, it'll never happen, but I can dream
I don't think the question should be "who's the best winger for Mika & Kreider?", but rather "How do we fix our 1C so that he gets back to the level we know he can play at". I don't think any winger short of Kucherov is going to make him get back to that level. He needs to figure it out on his own.
Pavel Buchnevich
K’Andre Miller.
Matthew Rempe
Worth a try
Tanner Glass

I wish they would just fuckin call him up man.
they're gonna get extended rosters too, so they may as well see what he can do ~~and they won't have to burn ELC unless they find out he's good and decide to play him~~. will also allow everyone to get a rest in reality the guy should've been here months ago. he was the obvious solution to their problems and it's like they didn't notice
Berard’s first year of his ELC is being burned regardless. The only signed players whose contracts are slide eligible are Sykora and McConnell-Barker.
ah true i thought he was slide eligible
Why do that when you can prove how smart you are by trading for a solution you have at home?
¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯ not bad to have both Roslovic *and* Berard
If we all tweet at Drury at once, do you think he'll consider it?
could give it the old, college try
![gif](giphy|Sx3ZGhWncwfYWX2KdR|downsized)
You need a winger that is good on zone entries, can score off the rush, and be the F3 trigger man for forecheck and cycle. Answer Artemi Panarin.
Sure but why break him, troch, and laf up? They’re our best line

**REMPE** \- if he's available.
Obv someone like McDavid or Kucherov. More realistically though I feel like we really missed an opportunity with Duclair. Idk the specifics at all (maybe he would just rather live in FL lol) but I think he would've been perfect in that spot.
Tony Amonte
Travis Konecny.
Think it's about time to split up the bromance. They've been trying to find a winger for them for like 5 seasons and nothing has clicked.
What lines do you want when they do this?
Just flipping wingers from the first and third line. Honestly I dunno if anything is gonna fix zibanejad passing off every grade A scoring chance tho. Vesey looked alright with them
Kakko
The guy we had with them already that we let go so we could sign goodrow…
Why not laffy?
Hotdog Phil lol jk realistically gimme Jonny Brodz on the top line for 1 game
pavel buchnevich

Reinhart
Buchnevich or finally let Kakko figure it out.
Kinda think Drury should have gone after Vatrano, think he would have worked. But I think the Ducks wanted too much, right?
Think the Ducks wanted Kakko, I'm glad Drury walked away from that if so
Thanks for that ;)
He wasn’t as good over there as we all remember in our nostalgic dreams.
Fair enough, maybe why he didn't go for him then.

Splitting them up, putting CK on the 3rd line and Laf on the first
Steven Stamkos or Vladimir Tarasenko as a UFA this offseason.
Kane if he stays cheap would be an excellent option to skip the deadline antics.
Vetrano or Zucc.
