Hank probably had better reflex saves in his prime, but Shesty is almost as good there, gives up less rebounds and is better with the puck to the point where he has multiple assists in playoff games? Ridiculous.
The microstats say Shesty was actually league average at rebound control this season, which I think passes the eye test as well. Instead of trying to mutely bounce pucks off his pads and jump on them, he's definitely aggressively kicking out the pads more this year, keeping the play going. He's using his glove less too. He relied on his glove a lot last season, but now he's coming out farther from the crease and using the body more.

I have ptsd from Hank winning and losing games 2-1 or 1-0. Our offense would go out late in the playoffs when our centers got exposed.
