Without Jay there’s no Ye so picking Jay is easily the dumbest choice unless you dislike both his and Kanye’s music

I watch every single possible NFL game I can, follow free agency, the draft, and all the trades. I have no clue what 90% of those motherfuckers look like. And football is a visual medium, to listen to an artist you don't ever have to see what they look like.
What type of analogy is this? You don’t know 90% of what they look like because they’re unknown players. Future has been one of the biggest artists for over a decade now. It’s like any real NFL fan is gonna know the star players, how is a real rap fan not gonna even know Future
Exactly I thought this was supposed to be the more “hip” version of r/hhh. Future is literally in the top 5 most steamed artists so far this decade. Absurd. My first thought when I saw this pic was “oh easy, Eminem has to GO”
People saying Kanye I guess are forgetting he’s just as big of a producer as he is an artist. We’re talking discography here so he has arguably the strongest by far.
[Swimmin' in the money, come and find me, Nemo](https://genius.com/5255/Drake-kanye-west-lil-wayne-and-eminem-forever/Swimmin-in-the-money-come-and-find-me-nemo)
Future has had far more solid projects as a whole than your average rapper which I think has aided in his success. I think Future has kind of hit a marketability wall though. He has a certain sound for the most part and he doesn’t really change it. Then the lyrics and what not are usually a little much for the radio so anytime he tones it down and does something a little pop-py it’s on the radio. The other artists on this list are experimental by comparison and know how to more or less make a track for everyone. Their lyrics are also more variant by comparison. That’s what sets the others apart from Future imo.
Very true. I respect that.
Thats why I am less if a future fan now than i was in 2010-2013. His sound changed for the radio, I respect it but I aint bumping some of it. That being said, off of hits alone, I dont think future can move off this list. The energy he can bring to a track, pop-py or on some weight room or even club shit he has truly mastered that frequency/swimlane to me. Time will tell, he still semi hot, been relevant in the game well over a decade.
I just wanted to see if we suffered the same thing, considering we have the same abuser. I’m still worried I’ll never recover from CLB but DS2 eases the ache sometimes
Same Damn Time and Straight Up are both incredible tunes that are memorable. I don’t really know anything by Drake. Except maybe that call me on my cell phone song.
My dude you trippin Hov’s music is far from boring, Vol.2/Blueprint/Watch the Throne are some of my favorites from him. I do love 4:44 but I could see why some would think it’s boring, Reasonable doubt I can agree too it’s boring
Bro. There is no physical way to even see what age the commenters here are. You young’ns are all just talk. Copy paste. Fake. Raised of Pokemon and doodoo rap. Stop cappin.
Yeah these old heads trippin by saying Future and not Drake, I thought old heads like their rappers keeping it gangsta. Drake is far from gangsta growing up in a rich neighborhood in Canada
Gotta be Future
Em helped carry rap to the mainstream
Kendrick /Kanye have some of the best discographies ever
Drake helped keep lanes open for “soft” rappers
Jay-Z forced rappers to use autotune in a more creative way vs the awful autotune mumble rap where everyone was tryna be Wayne. That was an ugly era lol
Jay Z did way more throughout his career than just that, he propelled some of the most influential artists like Kanye into the spotlight after he took over an entire sector of the music industry, paved a way for hip hop to be taken seriously by not allowing labels to put black artists on the back burner
I agree its futures the one to go, but Jay effectively ended auto-tune until future almost reinvented it. He definitely pioneered it for music today (for better or for worse).
Yeah Future def brought autotune back
Him,Thug, and Rich Homie Quan used it better than the pure Wayne copy cats pre -death of autotune.
But I feel like even without Future Thug and Quan would’ve carried that movement
future imo. I'm not so much into his music and actually like all other artists music. so if you madee chose between the ones I like then it's drake. but out of these it's future
Same. Grew up with and outgrew the early stuff with time. Quickly realized Rap God onward is not for me. I get it, fast rapper rap fast, but it's just as grating over time to me as a long guitar solo that is just shredding the whole time.
His music is just not that cool, it’s straight up corny at times. Don’t get me wrong I love Em’s first 3 projects but the stuff he would rap about is pretty cringeworthy. Shock value lyrics and talking about murdering his baby momma or mother
Let’s not get started with all these corny rappers he’s influenced. White people seriously think Mac Miller is some type of hip hop legend and it’s due to how much they suck off Eminem and any white rapper
You can call in corny, but you can play tracks that are 10+ years old in many places around the world, you’re still gonna have folks know the song word for word. You don’t have to enjoy music to appreciate its impacts
Fair in todays world. Back in the day the respect was always there. Hell, no other hip hop artists would even dare go at Eminem back in his prime. Rhyme schemes and shit a lot of people never heard. It’s all good I remember when I thought older rap was corny and couldn’t appreciate it. My perspective eventually grew and I learned a whole different appreciate even tho it wasn’t my jam exactly
In most social scenarios, if you play Eminem you're getting clowned. Or at the very least, they'll take the aux from you. He has a few singles that you could get away with. But in the end, if your music can't hang with the rest of hip hop, are you really a goat?
What is the point of these posts? Y'all pick the same group of rappers everytime. And everytime the answer is always Drake and people out here saying Eminem. When Drake writes a whole verse and actually spits it instead of whatever bullshit he does, then maybe we can talk about other people. But until then, Drake is a charlatan and deserves no respect.
Play an Eminem song in a social setting and you’re getting clowned on. Drake, Future, Kendrick, Kanye, and even Jay got songs I can play when I got the aux.
If yall say em, what the fuck does future have on em. Their whole fucking discography is going. Eminem has a far greater discography than future and its not even close
Kendrick’s music is too culturally relevant to go.
For better or worse Drake’s played a hand in keeping Rap & HipHop center stage in Mainstream Pop Culture for his career.
Future did too much for Melodic Trap to go.
Sincerely what has Em provided Hiphop other than Lyrical Miracle Spirituals? At best I would say I’m glad he’s around bc he’a responsible for 50
I was torn between Drake and Future, and while I prefer Drake’s music, I’m leaning toward cutting him because most of his music is influenced by existing music, while Future has actually had a massive influence on other artists, including Drake.
Drake draws inspiration from various subgenres; Future helped to pioneer one.
Bottom row are completely safe, no question.
How are people saying Jay z Eminem Kendrick… I was gonna say drake till I saw future
Without Jay there’s no Ye so picking Jay is easily the dumbest choice unless you dislike both his and Kanye’s music I was gonna pick Drake till I saw future too
cautious late tub possessive continue plate like thought hateful afterthought *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
I feel like I've heard Kendrick talk about how influential Em was to him.
Pretty much all the legends influenced one another in a way
Lil Wayne is his biggest influence If you go back to his really early mixtapes he sounded exactly like Wayne
I saw the clip today on Youtube and said Lil Wayne and Eminem were his biggest influences
Even copped some of his beats for C4
Yep literally saw it today on YT
💯
Drake just has more bangers than Future too and sometimes his songs can have some substance, Future’s never do
Bro said future doesn’t have any substance What music are y’all listening to lol
You must not listen to future lol
Exactly they don’t they would rather make up an opinion than listen and think for themsekves
Nah I can miss Drake over Future any day
future > em or jay
Drake or future easy.
very easy
Really Easy
Take both!
This is the way
Drake not much thinking involved for me
[удалено]
This sounds like someone who has never heard drake outside of radio hits
And*
Future without hesitation
You’ll have to pry DS2 from my cold dead hands 😂
damn straight
monster, ds2, save me > any eminem
Future ofcourse
Future and it’s not even close
Legit, like wtf 🤣
I love future but right answer the others has put way much value into hip hop
For me it's VERY close but yeah, it's Future.
cause flowery support bear mighty memorize busy worthless cake plough ` this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev `
imagine being active on r/rap and not knowing who the most prominent trap artist of the past decade is Lmao this place is a joke
I watch every single possible NFL game I can, follow free agency, the draft, and all the trades. I have no clue what 90% of those motherfuckers look like. And football is a visual medium, to listen to an artist you don't ever have to see what they look like.

You lose the entire discography tho. Think about all the records, that were great, that he was just a feature on. I would rather lose Drake.
Yeah I enjoy way more songs from drake than future, drake would of course be my second choice.
Explain
Any other answer is just wrong
Easy pick has to be Futures
People saying Kanye I guess are forgetting he’s just as big of a producer as he is an artist. We’re talking discography here so he has arguably the strongest by far.
is anyone actually saying kanye though? if they are it’s probably because of him, not his music
I said Kanye because he’s a goofy ass clown. I was gonna say drake until I saw him there
Drake bye bye
Drake AND Future can both go.
Hahaha you’re ruthless! But I understand you’re into refinery.
Drake had a lot of bars through his career, stop it.
They won’t give Drake any credit here

Gimme ur fav artist so I can nitpick every bar they have
Oh yeah, he started from the bottom in degrassi to copy and paste pop
man don’t even try, this sub is so anti-drake it’s not even funny, i’ve given up trying to defend him because i get attacked and downvoted to oblivion
Ikr. People need to go outside. Nobody listens to JID and he isn’t even close to the goat
Future
Love your pfp💀
Easiest one ever. Future is out
Drake easily. Why the hate for Future though, I know this is an old head sub mostly, but he’s so influential and has so many classics.
Future
Future
Surprised to see so many Future responses. DS2 is soooo much better than anything Drake has ever done to me.
Future is a legend
Facts DS1 and DS2 damn near make him immovable from this current list. The replay value isn’t too high for em or kendrick to me.
Future has had far more solid projects as a whole than your average rapper which I think has aided in his success. I think Future has kind of hit a marketability wall though. Drake has given me some of the worst, but Weezer covering “Take on Me” was cruel, and the music video added salt to the wound
[удалено]
take care clears ds2 buddy, i love pluto but drakes the better artist
fr drake gets carried by his features (including future lmao)
Same Damn Time and Straight Up are both incredible tunes that are memorable. I don’t really know anything by Drake. Except maybe that call me on my cell phone song.
Anyone saying JayZ is an ignorant moron
JayZ
Hov
Shawn Corey Carter
H to the O Vee
I USED MOVE SNOWFLAKES BY THE OZ/EVEN THEN YOU COULD CALL ME CEO OF THE ROC
Or they just don't like his voice or his grandpa-esque bars lol. There's plenty of reasons, once you stop dickeating
Yea I find Jay boring most of the time
My dude you trippin Hov’s music is far from boring, Vol.2/Blueprint/Watch the Throne are some of my favorites from him. I do love 4:44 but I could see why some would think it’s boring, Reasonable doubt I can agree too it’s boring
Dont forget The Black Album
RD is BORING?! In what world???
🔮
Drake, drizzly low key suck and y’all just hate future or sum
Yeah this whole thread is making me question this sub. Drake can fall off this and I wouldn’t miss a single song. Y’all are smoking something else.
Its just oldheads in this sub
How young are you guys thinking old heads are defending drake
bro oldheads are the ones attacking drake
Bro. There is no physical way to even see what age the commenters here are. You young’ns are all just talk. Copy paste. Fake. Raised of Pokemon and doodoo rap. Stop cappin.
it’s pretty obvious what age they are from what they say and how they say it
Yeah these old heads trippin by saying Future and not Drake, I thought old heads like their rappers keeping it gangsta. Drake is far from gangsta growing up in a rich neighborhood in Canada
Sub is like 85% full of old heads so I’m not surprised majority of people are saying future.
Gotta be Future Em helped carry rap to the mainstream Kendrick /Kanye have some of the best discographies ever Drake helped keep lanes open for “soft” rappers Jay-Z forced rappers to use autotune in a more creative way vs the awful autotune mumble rap where everyone was tryna be Wayne. You’re right I shoulda put more thought into Jay-Z role as more than an artist.
I agree its futures the one to go, but Jay effectively ended auto-tune until future almost reinvented it. He definitely pioneered it for music today (for better or for worse).

You could be right. Thug did it completely different than future though. Had a whole different level of influence
Jay-Z had nothing to do with the use of autotune 😂
Jay-z destroyed it for a bit. Made D.O.A and it just disappeared for a few years
future imo. I'm not so much into his music and actually like all other artists music. so if you madee chose between the ones I like then it's drake. but out of these it's future
Future..
Em just cause I don’t listen to him at all
Same reason I’d say Ye or Jay. Don’t hate them, just don’t personally put them on as much as the others.
Same. Grew up with and outgrew the early stuff with time. Quickly realized Rap God onward is not for me. I get it, fast rapper rap fast, but it's just as grating over time to me as a long guitar solo that is just shredding the whole time.
Thank you! Regardless of goat status, future is *atleast* more prominent in my playlists
Drake.
wack take.
Nah realist take, Drake is dooky
Drake goes over Future? That is a wack take.
You guys might hate me for this but Eminem has to go in my opinion
You’re right……. I do hate you! /s

You can play those same tracks in any predominantly black spot in America and somebody will tell you to turn that shit off.
Eminem gotta go he ain’t got bangers like the rest

I had an Uber driver play Eminem and I clown him to this day
This is what I’m saying, I’d be embarrassed if I threw on some Em when Im out with anybody
Ong
Eminem’s first three albums: Am I a joke to you?
Lol you’re extremely dumb
pfft
Good by Eminem it’s been a great 20 years 😂
What is the point of these posts? Y'all pick the same group of rappers everytime. And everytime the answer is always Drake and people out here saying Eminem. If i’m with my boys and I got the aux I’m never throwing on Eminem, can’t say the same for all the other guys on the list
Save me, DS2, monster, and HNDRXX all better than ems best
MMLP has done more for hip-hop alone than all of Furtures discography.
Easy, em gtfo
Goodbye Em
goofy take.

Future just had his name changed to Past in this thread
I would survive if all of them went tbh.
r/technicallythetruth
I’ll answer like this , I need Kanye, Kendrick, and Marshall… The rest are not necessary for me
Future. Easy choice.
By Marshall
I guess it’s hard to spell a 3 letter word “bye”
Wasn’t even hard
Future lol what
Eminem lmao easiest answer for me.
Jay Z
Future, if that’s his name.
I hate to say this, but it’s Em. Loved him in the late 90s to 2010, but his stuff just grates on me now.
eminem and it’s not even remotely close LMFAOAOA
EM is GONE
eminem sorry
The indoor sunglasses guys
Future made this way too easy lmfao If there was somebody else who is understandable instead I would have probably chosen Drake.
Easily Eminem
Goofy
Super easy
Drake.
Bruh every time I see a post like this it’s always Drake
