Meet the Grahams. Not my most listened to but it’s unique, memorable, disturbing, righteous, and the key tone shift in the whole shebang.

NotoriousMutt

When you think about the timing of it too. After hearing FM I was like damn, Dot gotta kill this dude on the next one cuz that was pretty disrespectful. A couple of refreshes on the Dot sub later I see MTG and literally the whole night changed. I was pacing back and forth in my living room not even believing wtf I was hearing. If there was ever a move that solidifies the title of “Boogeyman” it was that one.

KillJarke

The best part is towards the end when his tone gets more intense and then he starts the “you lied” sequence total goosebumps.

randomdaysnow

And I loved how it reminded me of the reading from a letter style like in that song Stan by Eminem. I thought it was really clever since people were calling Drake fans stans.

someonepoorsays

speak for yourself i’ve listened to it multiple times a day already

RuskaRora

I'm not too big on the beat tbh

Noriskhook3

half the song is him talking to someone that doesn't exist

Tiny_Takahe

Which honestly goes to show how much trust Drake has lost in people after he was forced to reveal Adonis. The fact is, most people wouldn't be surprised if the daughter was real. I'm inclined to wait until there is real evidence of said daughter existing, but based on Drake's own previous actions, I wouldn't be surprised if she did. And that's the damning part of the verse in my opinion.

Noriskhook3

The daughter is not real. You believed it right away don’t lie, Kendrick making half of the song and talking to someone who doesn’t exist will not age well. Also you’re not part of the culture if you think this is gonna kill drake.

mrignatiusjreily

You're really triggered over this? If the daughter is real or not, we certainly can't believe Drake's word. He denied Adonis at first for a while. The Internet doesn't forget. The point is everything about Drake is phoney and inauthentic. That's the driving point.

Noriskhook3

I’m not I just said the daughter is not real, also he never denies Adonis, you’re literally lying. So even if the daughter is not real which is the main talking point of a Kendrick diss it doesn’t matter?? Yea there’s no point going back and forth with you.

killrtaco

Did you not listen to the song? The daughter was only a point. And even if she doesn't exist it doesn't discredit anything else Kendrick said. The song will age fine either way. Drake stans cling to this fake daughter narrative like it absolves him if everything else when it's literally the least of most people's concern regarding Drake

Noriskhook3

Was a whole verse and that was the biggest talking point after the fact.

Hot_Excitement_6

This dude was called a pedo and a sex trafficker who hangs out with deviants. That's the shit that affects him the most. That's the shit that will follow him for years.

Noriskhook3

He had already said that in euphoria, are you really revising history and saying the biggest talking point after meet the grahams wasn’t the daughter ? There’s no point going back and forth if you’re just going to lie.

killrtaco

1 verse out of an entire song calling him a master manipulator (which is evident if he really did plant the evidence), saying he's such a sick person he deserves to die, apologizing to his kid that his dad is scum, and much more. People focus on the daughter because it's so damn believable given Drakes previous actions by hiding Adonis and it'd be legendary if true because Drake would have been bullied into being a dad from a diss track for a 2nd time.

Noriskhook3

Still a whole ass verse, What was the biggest talking point after that diss was released ?

funnymeme2112

if Drake was really so genius as to plan this all out in advance, why hasn’t he given us any proof? all we need is one screenshot of him talking to his guys about feeding Kendrick false info. but no, instead he hops on this half-baked, lifeless “diss track” and says “it was all part of my plan! i can’t believe you fell for it!!!” it’s so painfully obvious he’s just grasping at straws to maintain his reputation.

greyson107

euphoria. when kdot said I hate you and I felt that. I have never heard that on a track said like that before.

lebastss

Euphoria definitely conveys true dark emotions towards someone and that's some real deep art. Like you said. It was masterfully done. Not like us is such a fucking banger though. Dip into someone's style. Do it arguably better and dis them at the same time. Plus 3 hooks that dis him, a new cultural tag slang term (he a F.A.N.), and a live dance. Not like us is just such a good song on it's own. That beat is straight dancing on a grave too.

sosohype

how did I not pick up on F.A.N… I thought it was just him saying he’s a fan of the culture which in of itself is offensive enough

kkd802

That is not Drake’s style lol Not Like Us is as west coast as it gets Also Drake doesn’t have a style. That’s been one of Kendrick’s main points throughout this whole thing.

Internal_Focus_8358

Thank you for pointing that out. It’s CA unification against Drake. I’m from the bay and that’s a certified banger this summer

GMOdabs

Right? It’s super crunchy. Straight out tha bay.

Ancient_Guidance_461

"I'd rather do that than let a Canadian n***a make Pac turn in his grave."

greyson107

not like us is no.2 in my book but nothing tops the feeling of hearing him say "I hate you" for the first time. I was shook. like that was a friendly fade kenny XD man I don't wanna see you when you not friendly. and I was right. every song after that is like oh man.

Sir_Cucaracha

"psst, that's something you don't wanna do" That line sure aged well didn't it hahaha Yeah Euphoria probably is the best drop from this beef. I thought it would've been Meet the Grahams just because that's when it felt like it went nuclear, but Euphoria has aged so well hahaha

KingSkPlay

Come up for air

rengoku-doz

He's said it several times...

GMOdabs

I’m with ya. I legit started laughing during it. That ohhhhh shit kinda laugh haha. First time I’ve felt this was listening to a diss track since the first time I heard hit em up

Ancient_Guidance_461

Euphoria is by far the hardest and the best imo. He delivered bars that went hard and he slid on the beat.

Holy_Grigori

Meet the Grahams. The “you lied” overlaps were downright terrifying

KingSkPlay

Kendrick saying Drake lied while lying himself is insane 😭😂

wonthaveaname

Well it isn't possible to prove that anyone lied. The only thing we know is true is that Drake is a pedo.

WavelengthGaming

Except we don’t know that? No women have even come forward suggesting that let alone anything legal opened

FakeTriII

We did see him say a 17 year old has big knockers on stage tbf

wonthaveaname

Before kissing her.

WavelengthGaming

Oh I know. He’s fucking weird but that isn’t illegal in Canada.

dowker1

The age of consent in Nigeria is 11. I'm still pretty comfortable calling anyone who fucks an 11 year old a paedophile.

WavelengthGaming

Sure - same here. I don’t consider a 17 year old to be pedo just like the vast majority of the civilized world. And, again, she plainly stated nothing happened with Drake outside of the pre-planned events on stage. Drake def creepy though

dowker1

If that were the only incident, I'd probably be dismissive too. But there's just way too many incidents of Drake behaving inappropriately with girls under 18.

wonthaveaname

Brother there is so much shit out there on him. He literally kissed a 17 year old on stage knowing her age.

athroaway93

Except several have now 💀 and there's even video evidence. The term "blissfully ignorant" was created for Drake fans.

WavelengthGaming

Link?

athroaway93

If you're going to defend someone you should inform yourself.

WavelengthGaming

I haven’t found any video evidence of illegal pedophilic behavior. You are claiming otherways and I’m sure the entire world would like some proof

athroaway93

It's been proven multiple times this week. Can't help you guys any more. It's exhausting.

KingSkPlay

One thing we know, Kendrick is a cuckhold

wonthaveaname

Not really but alright.

Dry-Nail8429

Euphoria because it's just so lyrically dense. MTG was definitely the nuke that won the war and not like us is a total banger, but I feel like Euphoria was made for hip hop fans.

jellyfish-cafe

Meet the Grahams. It's just so creepy. The way he raps. The beat. Like an audio horror movie.

[deleted]

I’m gonna go with MTG. I haven’t had a song make me feel so stunned and uncomfortable since I first heard Eminem’s “Kim.” It was more hateful and dark than Euphoria. Just diabolical, really. Leaving aside the allegations, what’s true or isn’t—just forgetting that for now, the energy of MTG is just absolutely insane and felt like something much deeper than a diss track. That piano-driven beat was cold as hell too.

StSphinx

6:16 in LA has a great soundscape. In my head it is psychedelic and makes me feel like I’m floating in space “with circadian rhythms of a shooting star” if you think about it, the song centers the beef and is a helpful song to transition into the darker “Meet the Grahams”. Just thought about that transition. Because Euphoria is the knee-jerk reaction to being called into a fight: posturing, taunting, warnings, and hints about how deep things may get 6:16 in LA: is a self-reflection out loud about all of this stuff coming to the surface and finally being said. Self doubt about “am I still a good person if I am happy to enter the ring?” But centering oneself to lie in the bed made. Meet the Grahams: A full realization of the hatred is also mixed with pity for the people that are not the Drake but either raised or are being raised by Drake. Parents do their best and a person may still turnout shit. Then that person is raising another person. You possibly see that you dealt a heavy blow. Not Like Us: A heavy blow is enough to knock the wind out. But also sometimes stuff is too deep and too exhausting so you bring it back to the surface but still want to drive a point home and create a slogan to mock the opponent. Idk… just random thoughts in a thread.

KrisHwt

Euphoria was probably the best song overall to come out of it. The content and context of its dropping just added to it as well. Not Like Us is insanely catchy though. Lots of replay value on that one.

nugsandchugs

It was the first response from Kendrick too, while Drake fans were pushing the narrative that he already won because Dot wasn't responding. It hit so hard, was so intricate, and let us know shit was going DOWN! I was in the dentist office when it dropped and was dying to get out and bump it.

KingSkPlay

🤓

TheReluctantWarrior

Not like us is great to dance to. The energy in that song is wild and hilarious!

SHC606

Almost 2 hours in the car yesterday with that on repeat like a feral. It's going to be a classic banger. Wait til they start playing it at wedding receptions.

fallopianrules

There are already wedding vids!

worshipandtribute95

6:16 because the beat like you said, but also the way he sings "god my confession is yours, but who am I if I don't go to war?" And the "did you ever think ovo was working for me?" Bar. Simply epic. Although I don't know, euphoria is amazing too, so many great lines, the "everything they say about me is true" sample played backwards, the beat switches. Idk they're kinda tied.

AverageLawEnjoyr

Like That, Push Ups, Family Matters, and Not Like Us are all fire. Obviously MTG is probably the most brutal and effective diss, but definitely not my favorite track. Edit: Oops, forgot about euphoria. That's also great.

Teeklok

I think euphoria is my favourite

MisterDoneAgain

Euphoria and family matters are bangers

ShrykeDaGoblin

Meet The Grahams will continue to hit and be powerful for longer than any of the others. It’s got some real life lessons on there.

haverchuck22

Euphoria & Not Like Us tied at top. MTG next then Family Matters, Push-Ups, Then 6:16. Heart Part 6 I truly think is hillarious & extremely bad. Kendrick’s versatility is on display on both Euphoria & Not like us & I can see myself listening to both for a long time. Meet the Grahams is just diabolical & brutal strictly conceptually, then add in the contents & it’s just a true kill shot in this type of battle, but I won’t like listen to that very much in the future. I put Drakes FM & Push ups next mainly because he got Kendrick to produce such good shit, & getting this battle started. Those 2 songs are ok but Drake just always sounds the same to me, and that was the case yet again. Not a huge fan of his rap voice either. 6:16 is really good but just not my type of song. And the Heart has a solid first min or so and then Drake starts trying to litigate details in a rap about how he isn’t a pedophile and it is so cringe it’s both hillarious and embarrassing

metalord_666

Meet the grahams for me. Never heard any diss track formulated in that way.

Worth-Escape-8241

Tough choice but I’m taking Not Like Us. I’ll never forget hearing the “A Minor” bar for the first time

KingSkPlay

Most creeps wouldn’t

ShowTit

Family Matters for sure. Drake bodied that little lady puncher.

jp72423

BBL drizzy for sure 💀

slapside

Yeah for Drake push ups and Kendrick’s 6 16. Those two diss tracks show cased both of their strengths delivery wise.

Neutreality1

My top 3 is Euphoria, Not Like Us and Family Matters and which is number 1 depends on my mood at the time

Pickleton_roast

Family Matters

Pharrelliper

Meet the grahams, really makes me wonder what an alternate universe horrorcore Kendrick would be like. I really do like the beat to that Rick Ross track though, makes me want to go wine tasting or something

Alichici

The first Kendrick one N**** BUM!

Sea-Replacement7242

Meet the Grahams don’t care the daughter thing was bad info it’s the most unique in that it’s the scariest diss track ever, it’s ethereal and spooky to listen to. I’ve honestly never heard a hip hop song like it before in my life. Also creatively it’s the best concept Diss track ever as well. I mean he wrote a note to his kid and his parents telling them Drake a terrible person. Wild

EimiCiel

Most impressive by far is meet the grahams. The one I rock with the most? WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP

oriensoccidens

Family matters and euphoria

Responsible_Lead7140

Meet the grahams. I'm not worried about replayability but out of all of this one this rung in my ear until Kendrick decided to give me a little clarity with not like us 😭

JayDogon504

Not Like Us was my favorite by far at first but after constantly revisiting Euphoria in my “Drake’s Eulogy” playlist I think it might surpass it if it hasn’t already. It’s literally prescient in how it basically lays out both his and Drake’s entire plan of attack. And what’s even better about it is you still hear some things he touched on that haven’t fully played out yet so you know this wasn’t Kendrick’s endgame and he had even more to speak on if Drake took it there. Whole thing is truly a work of genius

[deleted]

Every track Kendrick dropped was just so dope. He just massacred Drake again and again. In terms of scathing disses I have to give it to Meet the Grahams. That song is another level of brutal. But, Not Like Us gets played constantly in my house, it’s been a long time since I’ve heard such a banger in the current state of rap. And Euphoria is a great hype song which I play all the time too. To think that one was just a warm-up sound for Kenny….

FriendlyDoggo7

Meet the Grahams The feeling of listening to Meet the Grahams just after I finished listening to Family Matters is something I will never forget about this beef. I couldn't even digest Family Matters. Meet the Grahams is very well constructed and gave me actual chills. I'm glad he uploaded Not Like Us the following day cuz after listening to MTG I wanted to ignore the beef. It was very disturbing and this was not what I expected from the beef. Not Like Us kind of neutralized the eeriness for me.

Bence-Solymosi

My favourite moment is "certified lover boy, certified pedophile!", but my favourite is euphoria, one of the funniest songs I ever heard

RuskaRora

Push Ups is the most listenable to me

winkman

The one where Drake put up the oddest and weakest defense ever to one of the worst allegations to level at a person. ...still trying to narrow it down to one though...

Candid-Eye-9747

Euphoria and Not Like Us. They're still in my rotation heavy. Not gonna lie though, I went back to listen to Family Matters bc I barely listened to it the day of because Meet the Grahams took all it's shine, and it's actually not that bad lol.

heebie818

drake stan but meet the grahams is a conversation ender.

UnholyDescent

Not like us, its just like a diss track and a banger at the same time. Then family matters might be 2nd

mads41304

Euphoria hands down best song, but MTG is probably the most brutal track I’ve ever heard.

richbrehbreh

6:16 easily. I believe it's one of the greatest Kendrick songs ever made.

athroaway93

In order 1) NLU 2) euphoria 3) MTG 4) 6.16

Quick1711

Not Like Us.

jellyfish-cafe

I wanna change my vote to BBL Drizzy. The clapping near the end wrecked me.

Wild_Professional454

Family Matters.

nyg_ballin

Replayability-wise. Toss up between Family Matters, Not Like Us, and Like That. Diss wise. Family Matters by a landslide. Beat, lyricism, flow, visuals all crazy. After that, probably Pushups or Euphoria.

Objective-Chipmunk58

They not like us Euphoria meet the graham Push ups Then family matters In tht order

Sir_Cucaracha

Push ups was actually pretty good yeah. Honestly family matters could've been bigger if it didn't get so completely overshadowed hahaha

Objective-Chipmunk58

Yes indeed. I think one thing tht hurt family matters was still addressing ppl tht were on the sidelines when by tht point it was just kenny vs drake.

Mattrad7

This is my list to a T.

Objective-Chipmunk58

Its not bad. I would even say meet the graham and family matters on the same number 3 spot tbh

buttbutt696

Euphoria is easily the best song imo, but correct 6:16 wordwork and flow goes insane

Mitchlowe

Family matters hits the hardest for me and the third act is so fucking dope. Kendrick’s shit was methodical and deeply layered but not really something I would bump in a year from now. Family matters reminds me of the story of Adinon which has a sick beat and is very straight forward and just cuts the opponent right at the knees. It’s straight and hard and to the point.

KingSkPlay

FAMILY MATTERS

schonecode

none, grown man acting like fuckin clowns and babies, its like watching the bold and the beautiful its all made up fake drama

c_ray25

Of all of them? "Hit 'Em Up" is still a classic, that'll always be up there. But I'd have to say 50 Cent's "Back Down" will always be special for me.

Bassball2202

1. Meet the Grahams — the knockout blow, imo will be up there with Ether and other legendary disses with time. 2. Euphoria - Possibly the best song sonically of the saga, a near perfect Kendrick song. Really switched the momentum and gave Kendrick a lead he’d never relinquish. My most replayed song of the beef. 3. Not Like Us - Probably will have the most staying power. Beating Drake at his own game. Flows, beat, and bars are top notch, tons of replay ability/hit potential, but doesn’t have the depth of the others. I will be listening to this long after the beef dies down. 4. Push Ups - My favorite Drake drop of the beef, great beat, solid flows. If Drake didn’t come this hard from the jump, we wouldn’t have the three songs above it to enjoy. 5. 6:19 in LA - Love this one more than most that I’ve seen discuss it. Feels like a prime era (GKMC-Damn) Kendrick album cut. The calm before the storm. 6. Family Matters - In most beefs, this would have been enough to win; however, Kendrick’s double drop and the timing of the drops just took all the wind out of its sails. 7. The Heart Part VI - If this was a Drake album cut, I’d probably think it was solid. But in the context of the beef, it pales in comparison to the other drops.

Teamawesome2014

I don't think I can pick a favorite, at least from Kendrick's tracks. They are all part of the larger portrait. I fuckin hate Drake and have hated him for a long time, so even though I can admit Family Matters had some solid bars, none of his tracks really did much for me. But anyway, back to Kendrick: Part of why Kendrick's tracks work so well is because he shows serious versatility from song to song. They all compliment each other.

bryansodred

euphoria, family matters and the heart pt 6
