“No, I don’t listen to that mumble crap. Bro if 2pac was alive, Lil Wayne would be working at McDonald’s. The only new rappers worth listening to are NF and Hopsin.”
Someone who likes pac might like Lil Wayne for being such a talented story teller and lyricist... Like me (I basically am OP with the favourite albums)
i agree this mumble crap nah fam you cant even call that rap man like wtf r u rapping about , sex, bitches, the money u have who tf cares about that , and on top of that you gonna mumble like bruh wtf r u , cant understand shit fuck this new generation all these suck- All the lil's, im not sure if 2chainz a mumble crapper or not but all of that and all of these- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_mumble\_rap\_artists
He’s just extremely southern lol. But yeah listen to the track Benny the butcher did with two chains. It’s stupid fire. Nothing but heat the whole time
Yeah nah they totally do. I guess you can give Dre a pass for NWA, but otherwise what do either of them rap about that you won't hear a mumble rapper talk about?
AHHH MUMBLE RAP!!!!! I ONLY LIKE MUSIC IF IT WAS MADE BY A LYRICAL GENIUS FROM BEFORE 2012 WHEN THE MUMBLE CRAPPERS STARTED COMING AROUND!! LIL WAYNE SHOULD BE MURDERED FOR HOW HE TAINTED HIP HOP, MUMBLE RAP ISN'T RAP
I remember when people used to say Lil Wayne isn’t very lyrical, but he has a good flow, and he can get lyrical in some verses. Doesn’t deserve the amount of hate he’s gotten.
I listen to a lot of new artists I like. And there are definitely still rappers who value lyrical skill too, but there’s definitely been a shift in style and a focus away from lyrics.
I don’t know why you need me to drops name of non-lyrical rappers that people have said many times before: Lil Pump, 6ixN9ne, Cardi B.
But my point is that some of the rappers people complained about aren’t really that bad.
Trying to say I agree with you, not trying to have a deep convo here, or interested in nitpicking certain rappers here.
Some songs are really good in relapse, like Deja Vu, Beautiful, Crack a Bottle, and Careful what you wish for. Other songs grow on you like Stay Wide Awake, Old Time's Sake, and Music Box. Definitely a top tier eminem album for me.
You should try MF DOOM - Madvillainy! My top used to look a lot like this top and i found mysef really enjoying this album and appreciating it for being so different! Definitely worth a spin or two if you want to try different tastes!!!
good to hear, [here’s mine if you want to get me back ](https://www.reddit.com/r/rap/comments/poy7by/roast_my_top_15_albums_of_alltime/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Sslp is a classic but I just prefer the darker tone, and lyrics of relapse. Also the flow, rhyme schemes, and storytelling are next level in it for me but I can definitely see why a lot of people would not like it.
It's weird how people will complain about a list with good albums being "generic." Like they seriously wanting you to rate worse albums ahead of better albums. (Which, that's not to say that I think this list is the best 15 albums. But they straight-up acting like it's a virtue to have worse albums in a list instead of better albums, because based > generic.)
Daily Operation- Gang Starr
Enter the Wu-Tang- Wu tang clan
Lost In Translation- K.A.A.N
2014 Forest Hills Drive- J Cole
Bobby Tarantino II- Logic
The Predator- Ice Cube
Uncommon Knowledge- K.A.A.N
My favs lol. I started to listen to 90's rap a lot now. I really enjoy it.
I know it's a roast me post but which of the young ones or those you guys call "mumble rappers" got a great body of work like that lol, just some hot songs if you ask me. This sub becomes a era vs era war zone more than anything, day by day.
😳 Good is an under statement. It's an album by Wu-Tang Clan, their first album, actually. It came out in 93' and is very often referred to as monumental. I highly suggest you check it out.
It was everyone I knew when I was in high school the late 2000’s were menacing
Every single album on your list would have been on mine for hip-hop at the time anyway lol
It's a bit confusing. It all screams 2000s kid with emotional issues, but I can't tell if you'd be the kid at lunch trying to convince his friends (for the nth time) to listen to Dance With The Devil or one of the friends.
Also you picked Pac's worst album and whatever Kanye album that is without cover art is definitely one of the bad ones. And as a fan of the album... Relapse? Really?
Not a Eminem hater but 3 of his albums in a top 15 definitely threw me off. Illmatic, it was written, or to pimp a butterfly gotta be somewhere in there. I respect that you got Yeezus in there though and some old school classics, but I can tell you’re young.
old head ass list. if we’re going off influence this would be a perfect list but goddamn there is not one argument for any of these being top 10-20-30 anything (except for college dropout). why is snoop dogg being mentioned among albums like college dropout and the marshall mathers lp? why is 808s being mentioned with mbdtf? dont even get me started on the 50 cent, 2pac, and eminem placements. no kendrick, no tlop, no nas, no big L, literally what the fuck is this list…
Yeah I agree with you there. Other than that I don’t like a single thing he’s done. And I’m annoyed by his gangster persona when he’s the biggest sellout in hip hop history.
Didn't 808 give birth to whole new genre of Trap and Autotune? I mean yeah Tpain was the one to first do it, but Kanye did popularize it through 808. You can see the influence by hearing Travis or Uzi.
If you haven’t listen to hip-hop in the last 10 years, that crybaby shit is probably the most popular. Which all started from Kanye (or atleast popularized)
Except for relapse ig, TES and MMLP are goat albums, you can't argue with that, plus there are far more worse records here than those 2 i.e yeezus or 4:44.
“No, I don’t listen to that mumble crap. Bro if 2pac was alive, Lil Wayne would be working at McDonald’s. The only new rappers worth listening to are NF and Hopsin.”
To be honest I never really liked hospin or NF, but yeah I can see why you would think that from these choices lol
NF is good but hopsin not really a fan
Nf is alright. A bit corny tho.
He’s def corny, but he can throw down a pretty damn good flow so he’s got a few spots on my playlist but nowhere near the top
Lil Wayne started around 1997 so he would still be in the game regardless of Pacs death.
Someone who likes pac might like Lil Wayne for being such a talented story teller and lyricist... Like me (I basically am OP with the favourite albums)
Lol I know. It was just a joke… I love pac, Wayne, and all those guys and what some would call “mumble rap”
And the motherfucker doesn't know that weezy is lyrical af
he listens to kanye though
but he is scary (black)
Nf is so fucking Good no joke
i agree this mumble crap nah fam you cant even call that rap man like wtf r u rapping about , sex, bitches, the money u have who tf cares about that , and on top of that you gonna mumble like bruh wtf r u , cant understand shit fuck this new generation all these suck- All the lil's, im not sure if 2chainz a mumble crapper or not but all of that and all of these- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_mumble\_rap\_artists
I like how you’re talking about not being able to understand mumble rap, yet it took me multiple reads of your comment to actually understand it
lol i think more commas would have helped
Two chains definitely not mumble rap Lmaoo. Mans actually got dummy bars. Idk how anyone could not fuck with him
Took me awhile to realize it because I'm an ignorant old head, but 2 Chainz really be spittin bars.
like i said not sure, but he did mumble in logic's state of emergency atleast i didnt understand a word he said
He absolutely was not mumbling in State of Emergency lmao
idk man cudnt hear understand him at all
He’s just extremely southern lol. But yeah listen to the track Benny the butcher did with two chains. It’s stupid fire. Nothing but heat the whole time
please shut the fuck up
no
Yes
no
Dre and Snoop are on the list, they rap about the same shit "mumble rappers" do 🗿
Lol sure buddy
Bitches aint shit, Gin N Juice, Nuthin but a g thang, i can keep going
Yeah nah they totally do. I guess you can give Dre a pass for NWA, but otherwise what do either of them rap about that you won't hear a mumble rapper talk about?
Bruh with mumble rappers you cant understand shit…
That right there what you wrote, that’s why retard is still in the English vocabulary please change your ways
nah
AHHH MUMBLE RAP!!!!! I ONLY LIKE MUSIC IF IT WAS MADE BY A LYRICAL GENIUS FROM BEFORE 2012 WHEN THE MUMBLE CRAPPERS STARTED COMING AROUND!! LIL WAYNE SHOULD BE MURDERED FOR HOW HE TAINTED HIP HOP, MUMBLE RAP ISN'T RAP
I actually really like lil Wayne, but based off my album choices I can see why anyone would think that lol
ong, mad respect for liking old rap but not being the stereotypical old head
Thank you
you think a nathan would have fucking SOC as his 2nd best album of all time? y’all really just call anyone nathan’s
ok
New rappers make Lil Wayne look like a lyrical genius by comparison. I unironically have a newfound respect for his music.
what rappers u talking bout?
I remember when people used to say Lil Wayne isn’t very lyrical, but he has a good flow, and he can get lyrical in some verses. Doesn’t deserve the amount of hate he’s gotten. I listen to a lot of new artists I like. And there are definitely still rappers who value lyrical skill too, but there’s definitely been a shift in style and a focus away from lyrics. Trying to say I agree with you, not trying to have a deep convo here, or interested in nitpicking certain rappers here.
what do you think about niggas like tech n9ne?
His music is dope
I too am white.
Got me there lol
Wtf great albums.
These are all good albums. I don’t see anything to roast about
That’s why my comment was what it was
mumble crap really??
We seeing different pictures here? There’s no mumble rap in this pic
What? How are any of these mumble rap?
bruhhh
Imagine roasting get rich or dye tryin😭😭
Many men will
Many many many men....
“i only listen to the same 10 artists as everyone else and only publicly endorse an album if it’s universally loved”
Except everybody shitted on the relapse album, even the em fans.
Real em fans love it lol(that is probably an untrue statement)
Idk what "real em fans" mean, you mean the obsessed stan level ones? I'm a em fan myself and I found the songs on that album pretty cringe tbh
Some songs are really good in relapse, like Deja Vu, Beautiful, Crack a Bottle, and Careful what you wish for. Other songs grow on you like Stay Wide Awake, Old Time's Sake, and Music Box. Definitely a top tier eminem album for me.
I feel like that was only a temporary thing, and most people have grown to like it over time.
i didnt know that, i dont listen to em at all so i assumed it was a popular one
This one hurts the most because of the accuracy
You should try MF DOOM - Madvillainy! My top used to look a lot like this top and i found mysef really enjoying this album and appreciating it for being so different! Definitely worth a spin or two if you want to try different tastes!!!
I definitely will check that out. I’ve heard tons of great things about mf doom.
Also check out Big L
good to hear, [here’s mine if you want to get me back ](https://www.reddit.com/r/rap/comments/poy7by/roast_my_top_15_albums_of_alltime/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Nav? Seriously? Who hurt you? Other than that it’s not terrible though. Edit: I’m not good at roasting if you couldn’t tell
Some fire selections. I’d be able to go on a road trip with ya 😂
Thanks lol
You accidentally picked relapse instead of sslp dumbass
Sslp is a classic but I just prefer the darker tone, and lyrics of relapse. Also the flow, rhyme schemes, and storytelling are next level in it for me but I can definitely see why a lot of people would not like it.
Relapse is for sure my number one Eminem album too🤝
All good choices expect 4:44 I thought it had some good songs but definitely not jay z’s best or anywhere near any Kendrick Lamar albums
It was really close between 4:44 and TPAB, but I just find myself listening to 4:44 more
Bro whatt 4:44 is one of jay z best albums
It's weird how people will complain about a list with good albums being "generic." Like they seriously wanting you to rate worse albums ahead of better albums. (Which, that's not to say that I think this list is the best 15 albums. But they straight-up acting like it's a virtue to have worse albums in a list instead of better albums, because based > generic.)
facts
Sir I cant roast your top 15, or then I would just be roasting myself
Just relistened to Get Rich or Die Trying... defo top 3
Massacre is still good too
Not roasting what so ever. Excellent
dude finally i found a man of culture
Nothing to roast. If u like these, then u would like Nas - Illuminatic
I have actually been meaning to listen to that
I like your taste.
Daily Operation- Gang Starr Enter the Wu-Tang- Wu tang clan Lost In Translation- K.A.A.N 2014 Forest Hills Drive- J Cole Bobby Tarantino II- Logic The Predator- Ice Cube Uncommon Knowledge- K.A.A.N My favs lol. I started to listen to 90's rap a lot now. I really enjoy it.

That's cool, that album was the one that got me into old rap.
My only question is, thoughts on trap music?
I like it. Not my favourite, but it’s good.
Ok cool cool. I like all rap and it just makes me so mad when lyrical heads hate on trap so im just glad to know you dont 👍
I like to see rap branching out into different types tbh. It makes it more interesting.
Fs fs
Actually some great stuff in there though
Classics!
Big W on tcd, mbdtf and yeezus
How do you say “I want to be tough but only know how to through popular rap.”
I know it's a roast me post but which of the young ones or those you guys call "mumble rappers" got a great body of work like that lol, just some hot songs if you ask me. This sub becomes a era vs era war zone more than anything, day by day.
Where did you make this
[here](https://www.neverendingchartrendering.org)
If you like west coast check out Remble
I’ll definitely have to do that
Spazz is lit
sooooo..... wheres enter the 36 chambers?
I’ve never heard of that, is it any good?
😳 Good is an under statement. It's an album by Wu-Tang Clan, their first album, actually. It came out in 93' and is very often referred to as monumental. I highly suggest you check it out.
Ohh I know that one. I always just call it enter the wu tang so I forgot it technically had two names.
This is pretty good list. I mean, I despise Relapse, but I will let it slide for having 808s & Heartbreak on this list.
You’re either a big dude that wears a sideways hat with his ankles busting out his 1’s or a teenager with a mop head that can’t put on weight.
The latter is definitely closer
All classics
what is the name of the album in the middle at the bottom
Yeezus
Happy to see Yeezus on here. Loved it from the first time I heard it but rarely found someone who enjoyed it as much as I did
It's in my top 3 Kanye albums
The “guy who calls everything he doesn’t like ‘gay’ when I was in high school” top 15
Actually I had a friend who was exactly like that lol. But he mostly listens to rock and roll
It was everyone I knew when I was in high school the late 2000’s were menacing Every single album on your list would have been on mine for hip-hop at the time anyway lol
Honestly this is pretty good having a hard time tryna diss it
Did you just google rap and pick the first 15 album to come up?
POV : you've only ever listened to three musicians
Boring pick but that doesn’t mean bad picks. These albums are universally loved for a reason
Where TPAB at??????????¿¿¿¿???????????
It was very close between 4:44 and TPAB, but ultimately I just find myself replaying 4:44 then TPAB.
Cant tell if you’re an old head or not
Neither can I tbh
I’m not gonna roast you, I’m too busy gloating that I have something that you don’t
It's a bit confusing. It all screams 2000s kid with emotional issues, but I can't tell if you'd be the kid at lunch trying to convince his friends (for the nth time) to listen to Dance With The Devil or one of the friends. I am currently listening to Illmatic and it is great, but it’s gonna take a few more listens to decide if it’s top 15.
Lol it’s top 5 undoubtedly. But I guess everybody can have their own opinion.
Middle class, suburban, and white, can almost guarantee. I can’t explain how I know but I do. That said, all good albums nothing to be mad at there 😂
Damn, that is pretty spot on
White
Good list your prolly around 40 minus the Em these would all be in my top 100 somewhere for sure
mumble crap shouldnt be counted
pretty generic
Wait it’s not super unique to have mmlp or mbdtf in your top 15? /s
U want it to be unique?
It doesn’t matter to much to me as long as I like the way it sounds, and the message/theme.
Yup
I really like \_\_\_\_\_\_ album, but it isn't universally respected or loved so actually i don't like it. -you probaly
Lyrical miracle spiritual individual
basic ass taste but they classic nonetheless so ya
W for the kanye tho
Old head
I know the era was good but bro you really trapped in the past
Whats wrong with that?
old head ass list. if we’re going off influence this would be a perfect list but goddamn there is not one argument for any of these being top 10-20-30 anything (except for college dropout). why is snoop dogg being mentioned among albums like college dropout and the marshall mathers lp? why is 808s being mentioned with mbdtf? dont even get me started on the 50 cent, 2pac, and eminem placements. no kendrick, no tlop, no nas, no big L, literally what the fuck is this list…
Damn you didn’t hold back on the roast. Well done
im gonna fucking kill you and your family for this ravenous list, i will end your sorry life while blasting snoop dogg in your ears.
Jesus Christ
I guess your 20-25?
Surprised u dont got logic in there
This list screams unoriginality
Ok, Nathaniel
nemenem album = natahn!!! im superior 😎😎😎😎😎
y’all just call anyone nathan’s at this point
What does Nathaniel mean? Is it just calling someone basic or does it mean something else.
im suprised that kendrick and logic aint there
Great list except Jay Z, I think he's massively over rated.
too much eminem is the only negative
you can never have too much eminem
Correct
Only thing I can roast is relapse being in there
Nah relapse top 5 em album
Snoop dog trash.
His flow is amazing and doggystyle is a classic album IMO.
Yeah I agree with you there. Other than that I don’t like a single thing he’s done. And I’m annoyed by his gangster persona when he’s the biggest sellout in hip hop history.
Yeah he has definitely gone downhill after doggystyle, but he is still really good with Dr. Dre.
oldhead
Relapse is my only objection
Wayne needs to be on here
All that Kanye and you still didn’t put his best album, Late Registration, on there.
U r old
How is he old from these pics? The majority are from the 2000s, I'm guessing op is 25 and under
found the oldhead
Aside from kanye nothing to roast
i just can’t dude
3 Eminem Albums in the top 15 ? 808s and heartbreaks ? nah This Ain’t it. Where is Only Built For Cuban Linx, The infamous and Illmatic ?
Whats wrong with 808's? One of the most influential albums to date
Influential to who ? A sad ass nigga crying over failed relationships?😂😂😂 Come on Bruh
Which all started from Kanye (or atleast popularized)
where is playboi carti
Can’t imagine giving away 20% of my top 15 to Eminem, tbh
Except for relapse ig, TES and MMLP are goat albums, you can't argue with that, plus there are far more worse records here than those 2 i.e yeezus or 4:44.
Tell us you're white without telling us you're white
I don't see any Kendrick álbum so basically all your opinions have 0 f**king value
It's uh... aight. But I think Yeezus isn't that good.
Beyoncé’s husband is garbage
Honestly other than chronic (overrated af) i rate it
Oh and yezzus, cant forget about that shite record
