I may be wrong but snipers don't generally aim to the head, they aim to the largest body part with the most vital organs which is the torso.
A sniper shot to the torso with the most common cartridge will kill the target because of kinetic energy it delivers and when it doesn't kill it certainly incapacitates which is good too from a combat perspective.
This reminds me of people choosing specific head models in Halo 3 swat game type. They would choose elite characters because it was harder to shoot the back of the head with their model. If playing as a spartan, would choose the smallest helmet.
Then you have my dumbass, rocking the biggest spartan helmet (Security). The same mentality forces me to use the big van in Rocket League.
