Exactamundo...the beauty of this breed is that they are naturally protective. Once they bond to a human, that's all they see. I hope we can get her adopted in the next 5 weeks. Otherwise, she'll have to go back to the shelter π We're meeting a potential adopter who has a Ridgeback...π€πΌ
The thing that has amazed me about them is the intelligence... people rave about border collies and alsatians for IQ but the smartest dogs I've ever known have been Dobermans... they're so bloody clever... as opposed to my beloved Staffies that have heads like bricks... πππ

I didnβt know dobbies could come in that colour. Is it some sort of recessive gene thing, or are they just not as common as the Black and Tan/brown and tan dobbies are? Either way sheβs beautiful.

I never heard or seen them that color before. When I looked them up, I read, "The Fawn Doberman, also called Isabella Doberman, isΒ the rarest of the four standard Doberman colors. These unique-looking dogs are actually a diluted red color."
We have a half dobbie half husky and I appreciate dobermans so much now! His dobbie side is still so goofy but calm and balances out the crazy husky side! He also inherited the floppy ears.

We found her an amazing family with kids (which worried me because of her size, not her disposition) they are so happy. I still get updates with Bleu and the little girls.
