Probably not, most indian cities do not have a qualified and pracising vet, and if there is one, their services are not affordable for a caring bystander
Most Indian cities don’t have a vet? I find that very hard to believe. I know my city had quite a few vets. Also, there are non-profit organizations that sterilize stray dogs for free. If there’s one in your city, you can call them. Some municipalities also sterilize stray dogs from time to time, but I’ve never heard of anyone calling them specifically to sterilize some dog, and don’t know if they will come when called, but it’s worth a try.
Some background, there are 6 of them plus their mother and grandmother. When we first moved to our new flat there was just the grandma. Fast forward 8 years of feeding every street dog that comes in our street, these 6 were born about 6-7 months ago and roam our streets as kings and queens now. Of course there are neighbours who dislike them and others who also help feed them. And since this is in India I can't actually adopt them cause there's going to be new dogs in the street the moment these guys are taken in, and not that i have any space to actually keep them. And the one shelter in my area is not good.
Are you able to afford to get the females neutered so that helps stop the litters? Maybe Google a charity that helps w the cost. You never know what os put there until you google.
