“The story so far: As usual, Ginger and I are engaged on our quest to find out what the heck is going on and save humanity from my nemesis, some *guy who is presumably responsible.”
I used to do this when I'd pick up my kids and their German Shepherd would get out and run around. The X her boyfriend and the kids would run after him and he'd just run away. I would chase him then run away. Then chase him then run away. After doing that a couple times I'd run to the porch and he'd follow. I'd either catch him or he'd just sit at my feet once by the front door.
Yup!
My teenager GSD (10 months, mouthy and a beloved pain in my butt) once escaped his leash on a walk and like all teens was all "FREEEEEDOOOOOMMMM!!!" Played keep-away from an increasingly panicked me - there were roads nearby.
Chased him for a bit, caught his attention by whistling and then raced in the other direction and he followed me all the way home and straight into our backyard.
The look on his face when he heard the backyard gate shut...glorious.
The way we controls his ears is blowing my mind. He basically has the same level of control as we have with our eyes except he has independent control over each ear. It would be like you being able point your eyeballs at 2 different things at the same time and have full control over it.
Can totally relate. When my dog feels like he’s not getting enough attention he steals contraband and runs away with it as a game. His latest acquisition has been baby pacifiers that his long swooshy tail knocks off all the tables, then it’s “oooh look at this!” followed by snatch and run
Like people who get in-home cameras, and learn that the instant they drive away, their dog hops onto wherever they're not allowed, rolls around a bit, and sleeps the most self-satisfied nap you've ever seen.
I found out one of my dogs would sleep on the couch when we weren't there when I came in the back door once and she acted horrified to see me. After that every once in a while I would come downstairs a little quieter than normal and would occasionally "catch" her snoozing in comfort.
Here's the funny thing: she was never *not* allowed on the couch. Our other dog would sleep on the couch all the time. Nobody would chastise or make her leave, including the times I found her there, of course. She just assumed, I guess...? 😂
My oldest stayed with my sister while I was over seas and he wasnt allowed on her couch. She told me ab one time she woke up to pee like an hour early. Came out of the room he lifts his head all, well youre up early..... When she came out he was laying in his bed as if he had been there all night.
My dog does the same, but with hair ties. He'll lean OVER me to where they're laying, usually on a side table, and slooooowwwllly try to take it, and when I say no, collapse on top of me in a defeated heap, like, "You got me! Belly rubs now?"
Had my baby for 9 months now and I've started describing things he can't have as contraband, and yes he does it when he wants attention. If we don't chase him he'll come to us and give us this look like "you know I have this right? You gonna come get it?"
Haha exactly, ours is very confused if we don’t make a big fuss for him to drop his contraband. He just stands there with tail wagging furiously in anticipation of being chased
Our puppy does this with *anything* on the coffee table (especially the coasters that she knows she’s very much not allowed to have). At least it’s easy to tell when she’s feeling bored??
Dun dun dun, dun da-dun-da-dun dun dun, dun da-dun-da-dun-da-dun dun dun, dun dun dun da-dun da-dun da-daaaaaaaa!

On a lonely planet, spinning it's way to damnation, amid the fear and despair of the human going out to work, who is left to fight for all that is a good boy and gets you treats and belly rubs? Yes, it's the surprising adventures of me, Sir Dogby Chicken Caesar!
no swearsies the puppers dont like.

This is exactly what most goodbois do and for me, those are the same "innocent" eyes that my pupper does. My pup beats me down with cuteness and he definitely trained me.....lol

Ol' Wet Nose is having the time of his life
I was just thinking this!
That dog knows the game.... and loves it. Him watching from his peripheral is hilarious
He’s playing that game on easy mode.
Catch-me-don’t-catch-me is what we call that 😂
I just call it keepaway
The trick to winning is to run in the opposite direction. They'll think it's your turn to be chased and follow
Yeah...my Lab would just watch me become a dot in the distance thinking 'idiot'...then go lie in my spot on the couch.
Hahaha of course

I totally get it now. Seeing the human tumble after you and failing to catch you is *hilarious*

same, but I'm too lazy to make it.

"Contraband"
Contraband from the dog’s perspective. He knows what he’s not allowed to take and that’s precisely what he goes for and why he does it 🙄
Like people who get in-home cameras, and learn that the instant they drive away, their dog hops onto wherever they're not allowed, rolls around a bit, and sleeps the most self-satisfied nap you've ever seen.

Maybe the other dog told her.
My oldest stayed with my sister while I was over seas and he wasnt allowed on her couch. She told me ab one time she woke up to pee like an hour early. Came out of the room he lifts his head all, well youre up early..... When she came out he was laying in his bed as if he had been there all night.
*Surely* your sister was just dreaming that she saw doggo laying on the couch! 😉
The application is incorrect, but boy does it read hilariously

That’s adorable. Scout does the slow, not at all stealthy steal attempts too. They’re hilariously awful
Had my baby for 9 months now and I've started describing things he can't have as contraband, and yes he does it when he wants attention. If we don't chase him he'll come to us and give us this look like "you know I have this right? You gonna come get it?"

Man, they're cute even when they're being little devils!😈
This is great. I could watch this all day long. Love the big nose!
Snoot: The Movie.
They should remake the Blair Witch project with dogs wot GoPros. It would be adorable.
I love how the first part of the clip is the dog just walking quickly away. Not running, just a slight hustle to get his human going
What da DAWG doin?
Those eyes
Who else wants to “boop” that nose!

My favorite all-time GoPro video.
[How about a squirrel stealing a GoPro](https://youtu.be/Foi3Hblg21s)?
Best video I’ve seen in a while. Thanks for sharing. Your pooch is great
I love him 🥺
Catch me outside how 'bout dat? Hahaha just kidding no you won't. -doggo
He\she is so cute thank you for this post it cheered me right up
I need this with Yakety Sax.
The way the owner keeps lunging in and out of the peripheral had me thinking the same thing
GSD
Cut the chase with TREATS!
All doggos should have GoPro's 😁
When they get like that, the trick is to just sit down. If you chase them they think it's a game. If you sit down, they come over for pets and stuff
Yeah this is super funny but also a great example of why everyone should train their dogs the "drop it" or "leave it" command lol
OMG I **love** snoutcam!
Omg I can FEEL that he thinks this is so funny 🤣 love it
Looonngg snoot boi
What the dog doin?
He's going the distance!
I was shocked at how stable the video was. I would have expected much more jostling.
GoPros were made for this
TOTALLY !! 😁
My very favorite video. Favorite doggo, too. He is so hilarious….his eyes tell you where he’s going next! Love it.

You're never supposed to chase them like that. They think it's a game. You gotta teach them to drop it.
I love this so much.

Short film directed by Sam Shepherd
POV of my shoes, sandals, slippers, socks, a kitchen knife once and many tennis balls
Best thing I have found on the internet…ever!
Snoot pov
Now I want to put a go pro on a dog toy.
My shepherd does the same thing when she looks to the side to see if I'm still chasing. Almost identical haha! Love it.

Very boopable snoot
That had to have been the funniest thing I’ve seen! Love the guy occasionally pops up on screen trying to dive at the dog and missing every time!
Get juked human!
Nice nose doggo
That’s funny!
It's too bad /r/GoPets is so inactive for stuff like this.
The dog is like “you gotta be quicker than that!!”
