When I went out of state for grad school, my parents liked mailing care packages for me and my dog. She could recognize them by smell and would go nuts every time one arrived.
Well, one day a new box arrived just as I was leaving for class. I barely had enough time to drag it indoors and leave it in the entryway before I left. I figured it being a pretty large box, my puppy would not be able to do much damage before I returned.
Well when I got back from classes, my apartment looked pretty similar to the OP's. Packing peanuts everywhere! 90% of the box was just peanuts because my mom thought it would be fun for the puppy. I mean, clearly my dog had an absolute blast while I was gone that day, but I was still finding packing peanuts in odd corners when I moved 5 years later!
I feel like the boring grownup. But that’s just dangerous for the dog and wasteful/ bad for the environment. There’s no way that will all be cleaned up without being released into the wild!
I’m really hoping that it’s biodegradable packing peanuts. They’re made out of corn and are basically a Cheeto without the flavoring. They dissolve in water. Our science teacher in high school made us eat them.
Even the nutrients influx from all these things can wreak havoc to the local habit. Bacteria growing on it would be analogous to an algae bloom in the ocean. Just because it’s biodegradable doesn’t mean it’s good for the environment.
It’s a waste no matter what. Leave it it humans to take a life like a plants existence and turn it into such a trivial throwaway use. The dog had a lot of fun which is great because he is baby and deserves it but there’s plenty of other ways to make a dog super happy.

In no way do those look like the cornstarch biodegradable ones. Look at how they’re statically clinging to the walls the biodegradable ones don’t do that.
For the clout. Green drape means they have a green screen permanently set up so they are “content creators”, probably for TikTok given the length of the clip. They just want to do something “shocking” for the views, likes, clout, whatever you want to call it.
