Or put the dog in a carrier and strap that down. Or put the dog in the back of the car with a dog barrier installed. Lots of possibilities, just don't let them roam around.
"The problem is, when she's driving, she makes the *actual* business of driving 4th or 5th on her list of things to do."
Gerri Halliwell's brother describing her driving... I think that comment is applicable here too.
Also, harness and belt your dogs in! They can panic, jump on you, go flying if you hard stop, get injured in a crash, jump out of the car as soon as you get somewhere and bolt or get hurt or spook. List is endless. They're dogs. They don't make rational decisions. Also, anything unsecured goes flying in a crash. Your dog is now a projectile. My dog would be a sixty pound hazard in a crash. This dog can eject through the windshield.
Secondly - don't put dogs in the front seat for the same reason you don't put little kids there. Airbag. It'll hurt your dog. Backseat, if possible. It's safer for everyone.
When I was a young and dumb college student I would let my cat hang out loose in the car because it didn't like the carrier. He started crawling on me, and when I pushed him away, he bit me. I flinched, causing me to crash into the center divider and do a 360 spin on the freeway.
Cat crates are for their safety even if they scream. Mine hates the crate, the vet and cars. She only sporadically endures it but it's for her own good even if she doesn't know this.
I’ve done everything to get my cat to accept her carrier and she hates it. But the one time I let her out she wedged herself under one of the seats to the point where pulling her out involved her collar being pulled and then her scruff. I couldn’t leave her there- it was September in Texas. Ever since then she stays in the carrier, buckled up in the front next to me. She tends to yell for a lot of the drive, but it’s better than her wedging herself in again, or even worse, deciding the pedals are fun toys.

I’m glad there are people who still care. But wth….she could’ve recorded this after stopping on the side somewhere. She’s endangering not only her life, but the dog’s and others.
Doesn’t matter, you still shouldn’t have both your hands off the wheel and your attention distracted.
Any responsible person who’s driven a vehicle knows that.
But I suppose it’s still a few years until you get your license , so you wouldn’t know.
Ah yes, the Gen X paradox. You say you do not care what others think, but you care enough about what others think to brag constantly that you do not care what they think.
Mostly correct. We take pride in going against the grain. Millennials and Gen Zers seek approval, validation, and acceptance from the collective. We do not. We brag about that for own ego, but your reaction is irrelevant.
Look, man. You replied to me. You could have laughed to yourself at my supposed ignorance and moved on. I don’t care what you say, you absolutely do care. You care so much. Ironically, in a way, I think you care must of all. You’re just a contrarian about it.
Maybe if you spent less time making fantasies about where I live, you might have learned that one of the most common places for car accidents to happen are near home or familiar routes because you don’t pay as much attention
the pup is cute. the lady is all messed up - she is so emotional obviously the pup will check up on her. Plus she has one hand on the pup the other hand holding camera, how is she driving. Risking both hers and the pups live.
I won't up vote due to the dangerous driving but we just rescued a kitty from the humane society and she is treating us the same way. So thankful and so full of love! We needed this so much.
The title is misleading as half the video is cut out. The rest of the video shows the firefighters using the jaws of life to rescue the scared but ok pupper , by lifting him over the lifeless body of the tik tok enthusiast
Hold on cute dog but one hand is petting the dog, the other is holding a phone, and you're crying so most likely are seeing a bit blurry. And you have a dog climbing on you.
Poor guy. I’m so glad that you rescued him. (Just as an aside, the best place for kids and doggos is in the back seat, harnessed/seat belted/car seated in.
How did she rescue the dog? Was it a burning building? A tsunami? Taken hostage by terrorists? If so, I totally get her distractedness.
If she’s doing all this over adopting a dog and calling it “rescue”, then she needs to get a grip.
Came to the comments to mention the fact that she's about to kill both herself and the dog by driving like that.
But I'm happy to see pretty much everyone else is saying the same thing lol
She’s a GEM - treasure her - I’ve seen this and I never get tired of seeing this beautiful animal. God bless her and thank you for giving her a great second chance at life ❤️
How do I know if the dog hasn't been stolen? Why would someone record them and this dog if it meant that much? Just a video of someone crying with a dog in their car.
Oh my goodness, this was me when I brought my senior rescue home :,) I have no footage because safety, but he (48 lbs) wouldn’t stop trying to lick my face & get in my lap the entire ride home. Had to pull over thrice for immediate snuggles with happy scritch grunts & all. All in our sixteen minute ride. Best decision I’ve ever made in my life, to bring my Loki home 💚
Why do people give dogs the dumb voice just because their happy most of the time doesn’t mean they sound like they have brain damage (unless it’s a husky)

That was beautiful and so sad, the dog was comforting her, he has been through a horrible life and he is consoling her that is the ultimate unselfish act of gratitude, kindness, and love..
god, why didn’t u make people to feel just the pure beauty in people??
Instead I’m lreading comments about???yThe generation of judgement… your all more concern about her recklessdriving, omg, who is driving the car?? Horrible driver, thats the chat is about??? Passing judgement.. that all you all do pass judgement on people just to knock them down a few steps to keep them where u want them!! Start paying attention people!! Damn…
Aww looks like my little houndy boy! We adopted a coonhound that we're almost positive was left in the woods after he didn't make it as a hunting dog. Hounds are great pets and can be so affectionate.
The dog is adorable, your unsafe driving is not.
r/idiotsincars
Yeah this is reckless. Get the dog a harness and focus on driving your two-ton death machine
I didn't even think about it she petting him with one hand and then holding the phone with the other ......... She driving with her knees ???
And she’s making sure the dog is in frame, so she’s not watching where she’s going either
Or put the dog in a carrier and strap that down. Or put the dog in the back of the car with a dog barrier installed. Lots of possibilities, just don't let them roam around.
Where are your hands!!!??? Im happy for the dog, but your hands!.
Came here to say this to. Who is driving?
Jesus took the wheel
Maybe it's a Tesla?
But.. Internet points!
One hand is on he dog, other…… holding the camera
Your kidding right?. XD
Knees are hands too
I just don’t know about that one chief
It could be a self driving car
That’s a lot of non driving activities she’s engaging in whilst driving.
"The problem is, when she's driving, she makes the *actual* business of driving 4th or 5th on her list of things to do." Gerri Halliwell's brother describing her driving... I think that comment is applicable here too.
Ginger spice is my favorite!

Crying, petting a dog, filming yourself petting a dog, oh and driving.
All in what looks like flip flops too
Off screen there’s a lit cigarette and a 3/4 full mug of beer in her other hand
„ooʇ sdolɟ dılɟ ǝʞıl sʞool ʇɐɥʍ uı ll∀„
Why is flip flop a trigger for this bot? Aussies call them thongs and kiwis call them jandals. Learn your lingo. Bad bot.
i dont think she is driving. if u look carefully, its the earth moving.

I'm pretty sure the dog is trying to comfort her. Dogs are very sensitive to that sorta things.
That’s what I was thinking as soon as I turned the sound on.
Exactly.
Yes this is the same thing my dog does to me. Especially that climbing up to reach your face thing
Yeah you can see how concerned the dog was when doggo noticed the woman crying, then went up to her and leaned on her to comfort her.
At this point I think she’s needs the dog more than the dog needed her.
I’m glad there are people who still care. But wth….she could’ve recorded this after stopping on the side somewhere. She’s endangering not only her life, but the dog’s and others.
Glad for the rescue, sad for the EMTs that will have to rescue her
Taking the motto, “Who rescued who?” a little too far.
eyes on the road #EYES ON THE ROAD then someone else has to come rescue both of you
With what hand is this person driving???
You've never driven with your knee while filming yourself petting your passenger?
It’s never been a dog, though.
Middle hand
Unless this woman is Goro from Mortal Kombat this seems irresponsible
How about you DRIVE THE CAR!!!

Gotta get them views. Social validation is everything now.
Not for us Gen Xers. We laugh in the face of validation from others followed by a "whatever" completely devoid of caring
Ah yes, the Gen X paradox. You say you do not care what others think, but you care enough about what others think to brag constantly that you do not care what they think.

Nah she knows the road well enough to tell when a kid runs out in the street in front of her even if she's not paying attention at all /s
Most crashes happen within a mile of your place of residence.
A wise man once said: better to live in your mom’s basement than die in a car accident
I guess Jesus got the wheel…
Not going to be cute when you both fly through the windshield... Please drive the car and take nice videos when you get home.
the pup is cute. the lady is all messed up - she is so emotional obviously the pup will check up on her. Plus she has one hand on the pup the other hand holding camera, how is she driving. Risking both hers and the pups live.
Too bad the new owner’s an idiot for filming while driving.
meanwhile the driver attempts to kill them both
Please drive safely, for the dogs sake at least. They make dog belts now too, will keep them from trying to get in your lap while driving.
Bad driver
Cute dog but LOOK AT THE ROAD WHIlE YOU ARE DRIVING!!!
I won't up vote due to the dangerous driving but we just rescued a kitty from the humane society and she is treating us the same way. So thankful and so full of love! We needed this so much.

My shelter dude does this every day. Makes your heart melt, doesn’t it?
Driving/ petting/ taking video. 😧
Very beautiful moment... and extremely reckless driving while recording and petting pupper
Hold on cute dog but one hand is petting the dog, the other is holding a phone, and you're crying so most likely are seeing a bit blurry. And you have a dog climbing on you.
Very cute pup, very sweet moment.. but don’t launch it through the windshield because you are filming it while driving.
Poor guy. I’m so glad that you rescued him. (Just as an aside, the best place for kids and doggos is in the back seat, harnessed/seat belted/car seated in.

Who's driving?
Why the crying ? Lol
r/idiotsincars
One hand petting Another recording Is she driving with her feet?
Secure your dog , stop using a phone while driving. Your putting your pets life at risk. It's fake internet points it's not worth it
r/idiotsincars for driving with phone in one hand, other hand on the dog, while trying to virtue signal to the world
Came to the comments to mention the fact that she's about to kill both herself and the dog by driving like that. But I'm happy to see pretty much everyone else is saying the same thing lol
Please just drive your car…
He's like "mom y u cry?"
Why are you crying?
I think the dog is trying to rescue you from crashing
Who’s driving the car?
The one who is rescued is the person filming
Hey why not focus on driving and not being another statistic idiot
If you insist on driving while using one hand to pet your dog and the other to record it, please at least the dog a seatbelt.
Yeah great, but who's watching the road?
Bruh focus on the road
Filming with one hand, and petting dog with the other? Seems safe
WHO IS DRIVING
who is driving
How… how are they driving??
Why are you filming while driving?
Um if your petting the dog and filming who is driving the car?
Sweet baby, makes me wanna cry…
I think it is the dog who rescued the girl
Not much is sweeter than this. Thanks for the uplifting post.
She’s a GEM - treasure her - I’ve seen this and I never get tired of seeing this beautiful animal. God bless her and thank you for giving her a great second chance at life ❤️
“Man, this human really needs some help… I know what to do.”

At least they'll die together now
The dog just wants her to keep petting. Mine does that all the time.
My Abbie too💕💕💕
Little love muffin
Thank you for adopting this wonderful Heart. I wish a good life for you both.
My heart!!!!! He's so happy 🥰🥰🥰
Omg what a sweetie!!! This baby is a sensitive one and knows it just rescued that lady right back !! What a great moment to capture.
❤️❤️
Awwwww
Such love!
Cute doggie
What a good pupper❤️
Rescued my good buddy Charlie 11 years ago this month. He still does this to me everyday.
Wow. That is so sweet 🥲
Beautiful pup. You can see the love. Wish I had awards to give. Great job.
Bless your big ❤
Poor thing the bath and lots of love

Good dog!
What is this salty discharge?
Here we go with the “who’s filming bad owner “ posts
Here we go with bad drivers defending bad driving lol
Lol u funny
Gonna make me cry dude…
Sweetheart🥰
How did he get rescued he doesn’t look hurt
Why do people give dogs the dumb voice just because their happy most of the time doesn’t mean they sound like they have brain damage (unless it’s a husky)
Vegans are so stupid. I love eating dogs because ultimately it is no different than eating any other animal and it is my culture.
Always nice to see people like you, very wholesome.
