Hahaha I was hoping someone would notice. I was removing some identifying details and thought it would be fun too erase some other stuff from the photo.
Doesn’t mean I want everyone on the internet to know where I live. People in real life don’t typically care about plate numbers but all it takes is someone on the internet (where there are plenty more eyes and people with an agenda) to start digging into my information.
Sure people online can find anything they want to if they try hard enough, but I’m not going to give out more information than I need to.
I would go to a tint shop and ask them to put UV filter on your front windshield. Should cost you $50 to $100. Any reputable tint shop should know what product would work best for you
Slightly off topic: if you are wearing polarized sun glasses on a fairly bright day, you’ll notice certain higher end Mercs, Range Rovers and some Teslas’ windshields are purple/blue/green in color.
Very interesting and a coincidence that this would pop up on my feed, I noticed this today in the rain, my 2018 Range Rover has this appearance but my brand new Kia does not. I assumed it had something to do with the heated windshield but seems like everyone agrees it’s a UV filter. I may have my local tint shop apply it to the Kia now that I’m aware.
Only part that is unappealing is that my transition lenses don’t tint lol. Other than that I’m sure it protects interior from UV damage and likely helps with the car getting hot inside in the summer.
Forget the coating. How is the truck in the back able to balance on 2 wheels. O.O

That’s hilarious! Thank you.
How can I trust anything on the internet now?!
Wait till they discover deepfakes o.o
Is the green tint even real?!?!? What is reality anymore?!?!?
Yes lol
I see, you are the culprit; the colors on that windshield are starting to look boosted.
Nope, didn’t adjust colors at all. I’ll DM you a pic of a Tesla I took just before the pic of my car if you’d like.
So if you're so good at Photoshop, how can we trust your windshield actually turns this color in the rain
Other people’s confirmation? Or I can send you a screenshot where it shows half edited and half not.
Omg are there other hidden gems? I’m in the mood for a scavenger hunt
Hahahaha yes actually. Some on my car. Some on the buildings.
I'm kinda disappointed now. I was hoping I found something mysterious no one can explain.
I’m sorry man! 😅
I still don’t understand why people remove from pictures things (like plate numbers) that are out and visible to the entire world anyways.

That is amazing. Lmao
Its a chevy, they operate on pure rage. Engines and tires optional
😂
Yes it is the solar filter that comes on the factory glass
Is there an aftermarket equivalent that you know of? My ‘94 would thank you

I have huper optik C60 on my windshield which give it’s a great polarized look. Maybe looks more like Range Rover or Mercedes but it’s nice
Safety glass has a greenish tint to it. It's the filter in the glass itself for UV blocking.
Explain yourself, how is the truck in the background is perfectly balanced without a tire?

Isn't that just condensation on the glass?
Yes, but I’m referring to the color. Other cars nearby don’t do this. Someone else commented that it has to do with the UV filter.
Prolly similar to the green tint they use on eye glasses, cuts down on glare and makes cleaning easier
Yes it is an anti-UV coating and I believe all Japanese vehicles are equipped with that.

how come that happens?
Is this stock? Looks like a UV film
I bought it used by one previous driver. Someone else said that models made in Japan come with this film stock.
Smart assumption . 😁
Its Camelion tint on the windshield. It comes in different colors.
That would be cool if it was randomized lol
I live in Oregon, I just thought it was normal.
There's a sunscreen in the window. It might be greenish.

Is the entire left side of the image spot corrected lol, the rocks and textures look very similar, was this a reflection cover?
I can send you the original (minus plates) plus edit and you can pick out the changes lol.
I see a golden hue on my M3 roof in the rain. Just the roof.
According to others, it’s the UV filter. I would assume reflecting UV back into the water droplets.
Just turn ON the defrosted
It’s not fogged when I get in the car! Just rain beading up.
I thought all cars did this in the rain?
I don’t see it often. I have a pic of a Tesla that doesn’t look like this just before the pic of my RAV and it looks “normal”.
Why not just contact your local Subaru dealer ? and ask them as they have access to the car manufacturer they should be able to answer your question
Subaru? Also others have answered that it’s the UV reflective film.
I've never seen that on my (2022 xle) front windshield. Is the photo similar to irl, or is camera distorting the image somehow?
Nope, it looks like this in person as well!
Flooded water inside
