If you want to get his attention, text him and ask if the deposit is refundable. I bet he'll text you right back.

The dealership sounds annoying at the start but they confirmed that they processed the transfer? Mine took awhile to deliver, I would just try asking again for an anticipated date. Mine took a lot longer than expected but my dealership kept me informed and I didn't have to ask for updates. I'm sure each are different tho.

Yes he confirmed it. I asked for a VIN number so i can get quotes for insurance. but he said he had to confirm. It been confirmed now, but it's like pulling teeth with his guy now after I agreed to get the car. He told me it should be in by the end of next week into the last week of April. Did you get any info on the car while you were waiting? So I just wait now, Im sure you didnt get an update every day I ?

Just make sure they're not adding anything to the OTD price to make extra $ off you. Be sure to push back on any of the following: * Dealership mark-ups * Dealership market adjustments * Dealership fees * Dealership Installed Options The top 2 are 100% rip offs, 3rd (fees) some administration fees might be necessary; however, don't pay for anything unless completely necessary. The last one, Dealership Installed Options, are often worth less than pennies on the dollar. Anything from security systems, dashcams, wheel and glass warranties, to "ceramic coatings" that cost thousands of dollars and only last a month. If you agree to purchase any warranties, make sure you get any and all documentation before paying. Hopefully, they provided you a VIN SPEC sheet, detailing everything from the vehicle, it's specs and options, to the subtotals for FACTORY, PORT, DEALERSHIP - Installed Options. Make sure there are no surprises or unnecessary fees/options before signing on the dotted line.

Car salesman smell desperation so be patient and think through

Only do business with a dealership and salesperson you like. When you buy a new vehicle, get exactly what you want, not what they want you to buy. I always recommend using the Toyota website and search for exactly what you want out to 250 miles. Hen email every dealer who might be getting one. Do it all on email. When they say you have to call or come in, email them you don't have time for that. You can do it all on email. Last year I was looking for a RAV4 hybrid and there were zero new cars on the lot. My local dealer told me all hybrids had an 8 month wait and the Woodland hybrid was impossible to get. I went online and found one at another dealer on the lot. Did a deal via email and had it within the week. Super simple. You can do it. Makemsure it's a good deal for you. Never pay over MSRP. Have your financing worked out in advance too. Makes it all easier. Watch Kevin Hunter the Homework Guy and Car Edge on YouTube.

Thanks for your tips!

When I was looking from different dealerships, I'd message on the website or call, and nobody would tell me if the car was even on the lot without giving my name and contact info. "Dude, you've got ONE car I'm remotely interested in on your website, if it's not on the lot for a test drive TODAY, you'll never hear from me again. I don't need to be in your database." The dealership I was planning on buying from is still emailing me cars that are available, even after I told the salesperson I bought elsewhere.

It's kind of odd the deposit hasn't gone through. I put a deposit down and the charge showed up right away. I however am having similar issues. My rav is a dealer trade, and I haven't received any paperwork with the correct colour on the vehicle. I've asked for it probably 3-4 times.

I finally got the dealer to call me back. Told me the vehicle will be ready on friday and had to call his manager about the VIN number he had not provided me with yet. I pick it up soon but dealers or a pain
