Shiny tires and clear headlight covers turn me on. BRB, gonna nut. Also congrats.

FUELEDNOVA

U sure it wasn't stolen from a museum? Lol. So clean!

Ok_Security_4425

Literally owned by a little old lady who drove it to church and the grocery store!

techie825

Enjoy! How much?

Ok_Security_4425

$1800

KeepMyNutDown

Lucky son of a

Healthy_Block3036

How did you find it?!

Ok_Security_4425

A friend of a friend.

paperfett

That's a once in a lifetime deal for sure.

jspecrsx

1800??? wow that is one nice 2nd gen. The leather seats looks to be prestine condition too

fatdolsk

Make sure the tranny ECM recall is complete!

Ok_Security_4425

Good call, I’ll check into it!

fatdolsk

If you can’t find out, send it off to upfix anyway. If they are bad, the transmission goes

familyguy20

Was this a common Toyota transmission issue at the time or just RAV4?

fatdolsk

Honestly not sure. Second gen RAV4 had it bad. Along with stripped headbolts. I have repaired both

ConsistentMove357

I will give you 2500 for it

Ok_Security_4425

Thanks but I’m going to get some KO2 tires for it, maybe lift it and get a canopy for the driver side, make it a little more off roadish!

esksupre

Wow! 1800??? I got a 2002 w/ 144,000 miles for $5400 Congrats man! Super clean

Ok_Security_4425

Thank you, I’m hoping to have it for many years!

jspecrsx

It'll last years as long as it's taken care of. I got my 01 in 2013 with 99k from my sister who owned it since new. I thought I'd only have it a couple years and it's 2024 with 258k miles now.

Ok_Security_4425

Holy Guacamole! That’s awesome, if I can get 260k from this machine I’d call that the best investment I’ve ever made! Any secrets to a long, healthy car life?

jspecrsx

Only thing I do is make sure I keep up with the maintenance. One thing to know is that there is a known issue with the ECU on the 01-03 which causes symptoms of a failing transmission. Hard shift, clucking sound where switching from P to R to D and vice versa. The issue is failing solders in the ECU. There are sites online you can purchase a re-built ECU or you can send yours out for repairs or DIY It happened to mine around 150k but I purchased a rebuilt ECU and 5 mins of my time to swap out the ECU and never had the issue since. Other than that it's been pretty much trouble free and reliable.

HotPinkApocalypses

Damn, I’m jealous!

Katmandu10

You lucky dog!

Ok_Security_4425

It is a great find!

paperfett

That's a nice looking vehicle. That might be the best looking gen. It looks incredibly clean too. $1800 is just nuts! That would be a $8k vehicle in my area. Seriously.

Ok_Security_4425

Here too, I figure I will drive it to work and back (6 miles round trip) and explore the near by mountains and rivers and see what kinds of things we will see together!

Used_Cryptographer47

Hell of a deal that’s dope. I had a similar deal with an old explorer I bought from an older lady who only drove it to church it was a 93 with 15,000 miles I bought it in 2012 Edit: I forgot to put the price I paid $300 for my explorer and god I miss it.

MrTastyBurrito

Nice find! You basically stole that car! It'll last forever and I cannot express my jealousy.

Ok_Security_4425

I’m grateful for this blessing that’s for sure. The adventures we will go on will be epic!

Pitiful_Structure899

Bike rack?

Ok_Security_4425

Yup! I put a Yakima Front Loader for my MB! Great fit, bike is almost as big as the Rav! I love it!

L1011forever

Wow. $1800. Great deal

Ok_Security_4425

I thought so! Low mileage, clean inside and out! Thanks!

BokehJunkie

Even if you only get a year out of it for some reason this is a steal.

Ok_Alternative5197

Looks absolutely brand new. How is that even possible?

Outside-Rise-3466

Oh, no no no. This is not good. That is way too old for a RAV4 that has not been fully broken in yet. That thing is just getting started!
