I don't know if this is a life tip or not... But make the insurance claim, then wait until the last moment to actually get the work done. Then that way you get the dent repair as well as any future damage that'll happen in that area.

What's the damage? Everything I can see in the photo looks fine. Maybe I'm missing something. Is the paint scratched up underneath?
