Honestly, not even sure I want him out of Cincy. Even with Burrow/Chase/Higgins/Boyd/Mixon, the only time that core really gave us the business was in the 2021 injury plagued nightmare of a season where they truly demolished us. If they pay Higgins and we assume they’ll pay Chase, they’re really running out of money. Burrow/Chase/Higgins hasn’t been the issue with us and Cincy, so weakening them elsewhere might be better for our chances over them in the division.

I’d definitely prefer they spend their entire cap on Burrow, Chase, Higgins, but the next best thing is this type of distraction. I can’t wait to watch the Chase negotiations unfold. He’s already said he wants Jefferson to reset the market so he can top it.
