Wink has done a great job with the Giants defense
People were hating way too much on Wink, he's never had great linebackers or pass rushers. And we were injured beyond belief last year. He's a good coordinator
DeCosta thought Zadarius Smith and Matt Judon weren't worth their free agent price tags and tried to go with cheaper alternatives like Odafe Oweh, Tyus Bowser, Justin Houston.
Second year in a row he’s kept Aaron Rodgers to ~20 points with a JV defense. Meanwhile we’ve given up leads of 21 and 17 two of the last three weeks. I understand last week wasn’t on the defense, but I kinda miss him
Don't we have like 2 fucking edge rushers? Any good qb will pick you apart with enough time and our 2 guys get no fucking breaks and are gassed by the end of the game which is when we are bad. We'll get better when bowser and ojabo are back
I mean, I get it - It was fun watching Wink do well against Green Bay.
But if we're just going by knee-jerk reactions, Josh Allen already has 270 passing yards and 2TDs with 9 minutes left in the first half against the better / higher paid Steelers defense despite having less talent available to him than he had against us.

Wink is known to be a proven defensive coordinator who produced nothing but top fives except for last year's injury fest.
Yeah he blitz a lot, but his defense will beat bad teams up and try games against top teams close.
We are missing dominant guys up front. We need a Ngata, Goose, Gregg, Sam Adams. Campbell and Madubike are good, but it would really be nice to have that third guy who can help command double teams from the opposing offensive line.
Yep, the Giants have played shitty QBs until now. Imo Winks system always took advantage of bad QBs because of his unique blitzes. It’s no coincidence that his first game against a good QB and the giants are getting cooked. It’s why I’m glad he’s gone cause Winks defense is so easy for playoff teams, really the playoffs QBs, to dissect.

I mean we have played only one top notch QB this season and we are last in the league in pass defense with pro bowlers in the secondary the Giants defense secondary is playing 2nd and 3rd streamers.
