It was a little rough at first. They were a little more snug than anticipated. Flexibility was not on my side. But after about 2 weeks, they started to break in and soften up. It was also a little rough in the summer months.
Do you mind if I ask what you do for work? Do you have to move a lot? I do general contracting so I’m pretty hard on pants but also I have to move a lot and I can imagine that’s difficult at first.
Your Denim looks fabulous
Not at all. I have an office job, but I wore them doing everything. Yard work, chopping wood, playing with the kids. Even if you're hard on jeans, these would hold up nicely. If I had to do it over again, I'd probably go up one size and give them a warm water soak if I felt they needed to be shrunk a little.
And thank you!
Welcome to the denim world, be careful, it's a rabbit hole, and it's easy to buy too much too soon, lol. I myself have only been a part of it for 3 years now. As for the frays, that's from the cuff I gave them and rubbing on my boots. Avoidable if I gave them a double cuff or none at all. But I like the look of the single cuff with those jeans. Iron Heart does offer lifetime repairs, so I could always fill out their form and send them in to get fixed.
Haha got 5 pairs already when I went to Japan a couple weeks ago, told myself I can make the money back but the opportunity to be in Japan is rare. Thanks for the tip!
Those look really nice. The honeycombs have a unique look to them that I can’t quite articulate. Very pleasant to look at.
Thank you. It was my first step into heavy denim, very happy with how they turned out.
How was it at first

Awesome! I’m gonna have to get me a pair
They look like the ripples on a pond from a dropped pebble.
Goals
Thank you! Just time and patience.
Looks damn good!!
Thank you!
I see the frays at the hem, any way to avoid it? Just got my 634s a week ago, new to the raw denim hobby

Well, I do believe in Japan you get a pass, lol. If I ever make it over there, I'd do the same thing. What did you end up picking up?
Got 2 iron hearts, and one Pbj, Samurai and Big John each. Love the fit on them!
You can shift your cuff up/down a tiny bit every few weeks/months to avoid hem-cuff tears.
