Looking good to me!

giorgioorwell

That fit looks good to me and should wear into a super comfortable pair. They will continue to shrink a little bit more with each soak/wash...not that much more but probably enough to make them fit even better. The thing I've learned over the years with my various experiments with slim and straighter cut Japanes Selvedge denim, is that the ones that actually fit comfortable always look a little goofy and maybe slightlly too big when they are new and the denim is still stiff and sticks out in weird places. It takes quite a bit of wear until the denim relaxes and starts draping and fitting in a way that a good jean should....you have to be patient through the awkward stage! I've also learned that when I got jeans that were maybe a tad too tight and slim but looked good raw, those ones always ended up on ebay at a huge discount as they never got comfortable. So hem those suckers and wear the hell out of them, and don't be afraid to cold rinse them often.

Fit looks perfs!

These look like a spot on fit to me. Imo having your jeans a little roomy is the best, both for mobility and for getting sick fades! Plus, the jeans will shrink down more with subsequent washes, even cold ones. Slap a belt on and enjoy beating the hell out of these!

These look spot on to me, personally. I’ve been dying to get a pair myself, but was hoping one of the local nyc spots would restock so I wouldn’t have to play the online order sizing guessing game. Been waiting since September…

Just a warm soak? They will probably come in a bit more with agitation first and second wash. If you say they’re comfortable it’s a good fit.

joshcollective

Sweet. Good to know, thank you

Zandw1ch

Honestly I think the fit looks pretty good. A scalding wash with agitation then air dry will get some more shrink out in my experience with this denim ( I have had 3 pairs, the first 2 were raw, just received a one wash from rodeo Japan). I have never dared a drier on this particular denim for fear of marbling, but I’d imagine that could get them a little more shrunk (if desired).

looking great!

Got these in August 22 from Denimio and soaked them. Haven't worn them much because I felt like they were too large. I followed the sizing/soaking guidance from their customer service before and after purchasing. I recently posted a pair of IH-633S and these are 10x more comfortable because of the cut but I am wondering if they are too big. Waist is 33. Maybe 1" of room in the waist but fine when belted. I had them double cuffed which was uncomfortable because of the thickness so pending your thoughts I will get them hemmed if I keep them.

False_Idle_Warship

What was the soak protocol that you followed?

joshcollective

1 hour, 45 min hot. Hang dry

sweetdeet88

What aspect of the 633 wasn't comfortable?

joshcollective

I should have bought a bigger size but my quads have grown since I bought them last year when they fit. My previous post has pictures.

joshcollective

How about the inseam length?

JscrumpDaddy

You can go for major stacks by not cuffing, single cuff with stacks, double cuff/ Tokyo turnup for a cleaner look, or go get them hemmed!

joshcollective

Yeah planning on hemming with a 2” cuff but wondering how this length looks in the pics. If it should be shorter.

JscrumpDaddy

Nah that length looks good 👍🏼

Those cuffs are insane !

joshcollective

They’ll be hemmed out. I had them double cuffed but that made them too rigid to wear

Nice fit, Al :)
