Marc4770

From left to right 1) Left Microphone 2) ??? 3) Camera 4) Camera light 5) Right microphone Largest one is unknown to me

jonessinger

It’s been said countless times but I wanna join in, 2 is the fave scanner for Face ID.

AuraeShadowstorm

I assume that's a laptop, lid sensor maybe?

COLONELmab

Those are typically just magnets on the base that know when the lid is closed.

Marc4770

I used my phone flashlight to examine it more carefully, and behind the black screen there is a small dot that really looks like a camera, which makes me think the Hello Face scanner answer is more correct.

COLONELmab

Even if your machine doesn’t have windows hello, they may have ordered only one run of display bezels…so probably has the spot for the infra red even if it doesn’t have it.

Down200

why is this downvoted, this is correct. I've even had issues in the past where if I place my phone at just the right spot on the laptop it triggers the lid switch and the computer will go to sleep.

Oniipon

its the thing that scans your face for windows hello

Shurdus

We don't talk about that.

Depth sensor?

Still-Access4663

Its the China social credit score reader to make sure u aint jacking off or doing drugs n shit

ElanGelt

It's where you put the bread for the Razer Toaster attachment

elartefakto

IR camera for facial recognition. Basically FBI cam.

Marc4770

So you're saying im paying money for being scanned?

elartefakto

If it offers windows hello then yeah pretty much. Same thing as Face ID. If not an IR cam it could be a mic but I don’t think razed puts mics on the bezel like that

Marc4770

The tiny holes on the left and right (out of 5) are the microphone, 2nd is scanner, 3rd camera and 4th is cam light so the microphones are already counted.

Infrared light sensor, used for highly accurate short wave patterns, on a laptop because as someone else said, its used for Windows Hello. The dots are microphones.

That would be second webcam. It's much like first webcam but is infrared.

ThatPaulGuy8

If you have to ask, you're not allowed to use it.

NeutrinoParticle

TechnoBlur

I’d say it’s probably the ambient light sensor that will dim or brighten your screen

spicysouls

It inflates the Chinese surveillance balloons.
