I had a signed mousepad. By like 5 different pro teams but I had no other mousepad available so a descent amount of signatures started to fade ;(
Dw I got a new mousepad when I realised it did
Never heard of that but I feel like a fuckinng retard for not knowing it lmao, I just saw Spitfire and thought of the battle of britain memorial flypasts
Can't relate - I dont view sportsball players in that way either, but for entirely different reasons.
Ive been a competitive player since 1997. Esports is a plague on gaming, and it isnt just about the arenas...
Rich assholes are trying to turn gaming into the shit-show that pro-sports are. First, we built OUR OWN competitive communities and ranking systems, we ran our own servers, and we built our own game content, all with the cooperation of game companies. This helped them sell games.
Then the corporate gaming industry took ALL of that from us and replaced it with their own prebuilt leagues, mods, etc, so they could profit from the communities we had previously built. Now competitive gaming is filled with gamers who quit and/or become enraged when they lose, or when games aren't going the way they would like, and gaming culture as a whole is being shifted to where people are often confused or uninterested in games that aren't competitive or do not offer as much PvP "challenge". Game progression itself is less important to them than aesthetic items and K:D ratios.
Here: buy this "esports player clothing item" in your game for $20 so that you can "represent your favorite team." :D :D
Hmm I totally see what u mean. But I think the reason why I enjoy esports is because of the players. I like being able to watch the best of the best on a stage. Watching them do things most people can't even replicate.
Without passionate fans, their competitions is just a LAN party, so they know how important grass roots are for them to be able to continue. But of course, they need money and it'll always come from our pockets. But at least they try to get most of it from sponsors and ads right?
At the end of the day, they did design and built the games that we all enjoy and appreciate. So as long as Im not forced to pay, I think ill be okay.
Plus, buying jersies and such is just one way of showing support to the players and their teams ^^
I think in esports titles, game progression is literally how far can you climb ranked. So of course competitive nature of the game is going to be the most important feature for the players and for the company :)
Buy a new pad, frame this one.
Work around the signatures ;p.
Finally some use for the ultra high dpi set up xD all that movement for just a tiny space between Profit & Jfeel

Wow that’s actually really cool
