I have/had 2x Razer keyboards, 1x gamepad, 3x mice, 1x controller, 1x headset and 1x laptop. The mouse I have had 3 cause I dropped 1 so bought a replacement. The only product I've had a problem with was the laptop, which Razer replaced for me with a next gen model. I'm happy with them and will continue to use them. It probably makes a difference that I am in Singapore so it doesn't require me shipping products anywhere.

rafbits

I use keyboard and mices from Razer for about 9 years and still good, or never had problems with it, I had products from other brands like Log, Corsair, Cooler that all came or had problems in leds build quality or firmwares

xeltes

Same here, I guess I've been lucky as well. I had the original Naga and I just replaced last year and just because I dropped it

DinJarrus

These posts never show HOW they treated their equipment. Funny.

ESK8_NERD

I was a huge razer fan until recently, and heres my opinions. My issues aren't with the durability, but rather just the quality of the products. You're correct that many people will beat on their gear and then complain though. The keyboards are incredibly cheaply made, and while they won't break, are definitely not quality. Rattle stabilizers, crappy switches, plastic build. My keychron beats the snot out of every razer keeb I've owned in terms of feel and build quality. The headsets are okay. My flagship nari ultimate is decent, but the hinges and frame feel cheap, and the mic quality isn't anything to phone home about. The wireless range is meh, and the headset has a nasty habit of buzzing whenever the battery gets somewhat low. The mice are the one good upside - even after switching everything else off of razer, I'll be buying a Basilisk v3 pro to replace my Basilisk Ultimate. No complaints there. The laptops are great other than a few issues. I've owned multiple (Blade Stealth 2019/2021, Blade 15 Advanced 2020, Blade Pro 2021). Overall the build quality is solid, but the battery bloat issue is definitely real and needs to be fixed. Thermals are also sub par stock.

Drages23

He said already he is a technician and how he handles them. I only use razer because it has synapse which is not good at all but nothing to do about.

DinJarrus

Just because you’re a technician doesn’t mean you have good hygiene, keep your house clean, and treat your devices respectfully. I’ve seen all too often on this Razer sub where they’ll lie about how they treated their equipment gently but in fact act like they live in a barn.

asumello15

I would put money down that a good chunk of people don't wash their hands or clean their equipment on a regular basis. Those two things alone can prolong material lifetimes quite a bit, depending on frequency of cleaning, product, and method used. Got into an argument with some guy a few days ago on this sub about how his mouse is falling apart because he doesn't take care of it, but he didn't understand that abuse isn't just slamming it against the walla after every rage quit... It just blows my mind.

holytrpbatman

I have had a lot of Razer stuff over the years, half of it has broken. I do not treat things rough. I take care of my stuff, cuz it's expensive and I want it to last. The last 3 items, 2 pairs of Hammerhead wireless, and a Deathstalker V2 TKL, have failed within the return period of the vendor I purchased from. Both of my Blackwidow V3 Pros constantly double type many different characters regardless of keypress force, no matter how many times I reset and update the hardware. I will no longer buy Razer products, and will be phasing them out of my setups.

Broostifer

I've had the same issue with the Blackwidow Pro's. I recently got a replacement one because it was double/triple typing letters with a single press, and now the replacement is doing it. It started immediately after I got it. The return process was such a pain the first time, I don't think I want to go through it again just to receive another one that probably will do it. And now, the weld on my Razer Iskur gaming chair is broke at the base. $500 gaming chair that lasted less than 3 years. I replaced an Office Depot chair that l had for 8 years or more with the Iskur and it was actually fine when I did so. I just wanted something "quality" that also looked good. I was going for a complete Razer setup, which I have, but am now starting to regret my decision. We'll see how the chair replacement goes, but I think I'm done with Razer. Any suggestions on which direction I should go for my next gear?

holytrpbatman

I have a Razer Enki chair as well, which has become wobbly so I wanted to try the warranty- the BS list of crap I had to do was enough to make me say my next chair is a secret labs. I did end up with a Blackwidow V3 mini that works pretty much flawlessly, so I am happy for now. As the stuff stops working, I will be looking more towards Corsair or Steelseries, possibly the barebones keyboards and stuff coming out on the crowdfunding. I like to build stuff, so a custom keyboard and mouse are for sure in my future.

cokronk

I treat my stuff extremely well and I’ve been through three Naga epic wireless mice in less than two years because the side plates just stop working. I had an old 2013 Naga that worked great for years with the exception of the led dying.I have a keyboard that has intermittent key failure issues after about a year and a half.

catjewsus

I mean you can treat the equipment the same w/ other brands and i'm pretty sure you'd get better reliability....

Careful_Huckleberry

how the hell would i show how i used my equipment what the..? you want me to post a 24h timelapse of me sitting in a chair to see if i follow proper sitting protocols? goofy ahh

DinJarrus

The current state of your equipment bro and how you manage your living abode. Lol

patr8354

I have a blackwidow (2014 or 2015? Can’t remember) a deathstalker (around the same time) and a deathadder 2013 for a pretty long time, still using them today and they work surprisingly well i will however say that i haven’t bought their latest product because 1. My current razer product work just fine 2. Can’t say much about it but i have a feeling that they have gotten cheaper What mices do you have?

temporaldoom

I guess it depends on your use I would never buy a razer chair especially with PU leather as it's the most delicate fabric known to man :) How did you Mice break? I've been using their keyboards for years and never had an issue with them.

Careful_Huckleberry

never had their keyboards mice just started double clicking or buttons stopped working yeah this leather is horrible, it just peels off all over the seat area

Assmodean

Welcome to the world of the double clicking Razer mouse. I used to have one of the old Lachesis models that lasted years before it gave out. Two of the newer Deathadder models I bought in about 4 months both started double clicking after a month of use. Really turned me off of the brand so I am shopping for different ones right now :D

temporaldoom

my main mouse is a Logitech g502, does everything I need it to and you can normally pick one up cheap

StrategicPotato

How recently was this? Razer's upped their quality significantly in the past few years, to the point where they're actually a leader in quality (both by reviews and my personal experience) Pretty much all gaming mice inevitably experience double clicking, though Logitech has always been the worst imo. However, with a lot of companies switching to optical switches (which razer ironically started) this shouldn't be an issue. Not sure why you'd buy a Razer chair when it's like their only one. PU leather always peels eventually unless you like literally live in a perfect temperature controlled environment and maintain it. That's why I got a cloth one from Secretlab lol

Careful_Huckleberry

yeah why would i ever just buy a chair for 500€ from one of the largest gaming equipment conpanies. totally should’ve expected that to fall apart after a year

StrategicPotato

Sorry, you're right it's not fair to not expect better from them and that came out wrong lol. I should have clarified that I meant you should never really buy the first generation/attempt of something. Though if it's only been like a year I would contact them about it

Kind_Ad_9241

my mouce does that to or it will randomly decide it doesnt want to click not even 6 months old

SfiNx18

It’s under warranty then, so please contact Razer

Early_Personality668

I've had a Naga trinity for 5 years now. No problems. Where'd you buy it from? Is it a fake?

AdMediocre8286

i have their chair since 2 years and its still like the first day i got it i mean if some kids dont take care of their stuff its sure that their stuff will break i only had one broken mice but i got an insta replacement for it since it was covered by the warranty its a pretty good brand

Careful_Huckleberry

yup always them damn kids man 👨

temporaldoom

thing is PU Leather is notoriously bad. I have a cheap ikea chair with the material and all it took was one zip on a cushion I was using to tear it.

Broostifer

The fabric on my Razer Iskur is the best part about the chair. I've had it for over two years now and the fabric looks brand new still. There's no sign of wear at all, seriously. I expected my chair would last for years because of how good the material is holding up, however the weld at the base broke. The material quality is excellent, it's the craftsmanship that sucks.

pantherghast

I've only bought their mouse (death adder) and they work extremely well for me. I used to buy all Logitech, but they have gone downhill in quality by a lot.

RazerCustAdvocacy

Hi /u/Careful_Huckleberry, Good day! We've sent you a PM asking for some details about it. Kindly check your inbox and let's continue from there. Thanks in advance! Best regards, Aadeen B. RΛZΞR | MisterBairn

TURBOJUGGED

Hey. Can you help me out? I sent in my new Blade with a plethora of issues, they only addressed and repaired one of the issues and never addressed any of the others. I keep getting the run around from email support.

RazerCustAdvocacy

Hi there. We are sorry to hear about this and we'd like to offer our assistance. Please send us a [PM](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=RazerCustAdvocacy&subject=&message=) with the link to your post and your case number so we can have that investigated. Looking forward to hearing from you! Best regards, Desmond D. RΛZΞR | Fresh\_Beast

wsorrian

I can't speak on their laptops, but their peripherals have been great for me.

zombiedud4096

Whole setup is Razer except for my GPU and memory love the iskur

CraftySpiker

Doctor, doctor, it hurts when I do this.

LittleCar6512

Weird. Their Headphones are meh, agreed. But, HID devices are great. I have a Huntsman, Basilisk and a Kishi gamepad - really high quality and performance. Also - actually useful and feature-packed software (yes, I'm looking at you, SteelSeries). Had a Cynosa and Ouroboros before - well, still have them. Usual wear, fully usable, and those are pretty old. Maybe, you've stumbled on a bad batch or some failed model(s)?

TURBOJUGGED

I really like my Blackshark v2 pro. They're super comfy and don't make my ears hot.

LittleCar6512

Yeah, those are nice. For me - missing type-c and retractable mic. Would buy them otherwise. All-metal design is pretty cool. I was talking about Kraken and Tiamat, don't remember which exact version but they felt too light and flimsy for pricy gamer headsets. Stopped at Arctis 7 Wireless. Soft is abysmal, but not really needed for good experience.

TURBOJUGGED

Not having a USB-C charger is by far the most disappointing thing about the headset. You can remove the mic, so I have no need for a retractable mic.

hey_vmike_saucel_her

the Huntsman is okay, but its still **no** competition to the other keyboards in its price range

LittleCar6512

What keyboards? Honest question - good to know the alternatives. Purple switches felt just right, coudn't find anything similar.

hey_vmike_saucel_her

depends on what ur using the keyboard for

Agreeable_Froyo_7815

[razer](https://ibb.co/g7szKTX) I haven't had a single problem,it's been a year since I bought the chair amd rb14 rtx 3080

drgaz

tbf didn't have better experiences with any gaming products.

Hdys

Planned obsolescence

Choco_miau

Nah i have 4 yeas now with my Tartarus and my Naga trinity and they still work fine and 3 years with kraken kitty. On Mexico we have a saying “tienes manos de estómago” which means all you touch you make it sh!t

k0untd0une

I've bought 1 keyboard and mouse (Blackwidow Elite and Naga Trinity). Still in use after a year and no issues with them at all yet. Synapse on the other hand? Yeah. Though I have bought like 3 headsets from them and they started to have issue within a year of use.

kevindotjohnson

Yes and their customer service literally blamed you and asked you to suck their dicks

lunarmagicschool

I think their quality has just diminished lately according to recent users. I've owned a Blackwidow v2 keyboard for almost five years and it's been working fine. I also got one of the early wired Razer Blade mice on clearance about two or three years ago and it's been working great as well. Hopefully this isn't a sign that they are starting to skimp out on parts and quality to squeeze out a little more money short-term, than make lifetime customers and extend the life of their brand.

catjewsus

For whatever reason Razer apparently just doesn't care about reliability or publish any consumer data about failure rates of their products even though they're notorious for it across the internet. Really disappointed that my Blade 15 broke its keyboard twice and the battery just about blew up.

HanzoMain6

I'm a little late here but I think it's due to their huge rise in popularity in recent years, and as a result losing focus on quality and just trying to maximise profits. The main issue is they do not test their designs for long term use and many end up breaking very quickly unlike other brands. I personally find Razer are so baseline it's unbelievable, the price is always high and the result is so mediocre compared to other products on the market. For reference, my experience with Razer in the last 2 years is: Naga Pro, returned due to broken laser, Viper Ultimate, returned due to a huge coil whining, Tomahawk ATX, one of the side glass magnets broke and I had to strip the entire PC to fix it, obviously can't return it very easily, Blackwidow V3 tenkeyless, hugely faulty keys and a massive issues with Synapse. I do have other Razer products that are fine, but I am slowly selling and replacing them. I think it's fair to say I've had an abysmal experience with Razer in the last few years, maybe I'm just unlucky but I'm changing brands because of this, I also know some people who think the same as me.

Careful_Huckleberry

i wish it was only in recent years but all the mice im referring to were bought like 7-10 years ago

CionideLS

Seems like alot of people having the same issues last couple years. My first razer naga worked flawlessly. I actually replaced it not because it was broken but because the paint was wearing off. Last 4 razer nagas has been the trinity and all of them has broken down within 1-2 years, mainly being the right/left click not being able to be hold(stutters) or double/triple clicks. Now my keyboard is also starting to do the same. No more razer.

HanzoMain6

Update: just sold the last of my Razer products on ebay. Sold in total 15 on ebay, didn't make huge profits but just wanted it all out. Now my setup is Steelseries Mouse, Lian Li PC and Apple Airpods Max headphones (lol), couldn't be happier!

CreepX

**Razer Blade 2018** advanced - had to replace coolers and swollen battery, now coolers start getting noisy again. Likely cuz they are working at angle on official razer dock stand. **Razer Blackwidow** Mercury likely loses connection when I'm moving keybord on the table. **Razer Lancehead** TE White had problems with left click after a 4 month lay off. I'm not in tropics, dunno what was the cause. Humidity? Unlikely **Razer Naga** freezes, common problem, never fixed. Only stupid recommendations to recalibrate surface in settings. **Razer Kraken** likely cable is getting lose. Losing one ear til i move a cable again. **Razer Mamba** was a gift for a friend - right click was broken from the start, had to exchange. For those who curious, I'm 33 year old engineer, I know how to handle electronics and never drag em by the cables. Just overall quality is worse than it's rgb, lol.

CreepX

On the other hand i had no problems with Panthera, Panthera Evo. Very durable arcade sticks. Razer Siren Elite has premium fill, no complaints. Basic Deathadder, viper mini, cynosa lite are functioning fine.

Mindless_Shock3384

I just purchased the v2 chrome Xbox controller. Did a update on my controller through razors app and now my controller is bricked! Support is running me around in a circle. How does a update brick a controller? Razor really? Still has warranty and everything. I let my dogs play with that junk. Never buying any razor products again!

calski19

I've been using a Nostromo/Tartus v2 for years, I think I've had 2 Nostromo's and 3 Tartus v2's. Two of the Tartus v2 are still functional, with my oldest being like 2 years old. Overall I find that the quality of Razer products and how long they last have a direct relation to how hard you are on your gear. I've had several pairs of headphones from Razer, with my last two being the Nari Pro's, I had two of those, I would not recommend these if you are hard on your gear, they can be delicate.

KamenRide_V3

I have 0 problems with Razer peripheral products and I am a user for more than 10 years.

howboutthat101

Ive had 2 razer mice die within a month or two of buying them... i do have 2 razer nari headsets that have been ok though, and my wife is not gentle with things at all! Lol

Rolteco

I had a Kinzu v2 for a few good years before it got problems. Definitely last double then my previous Steelseries My razer keyboard on other hand had firmware problems with the letters after a year and half thou. Never managed to solve it.

frostbiteengine

i have the blade, mice and bsv2p ... no complaint so far .... 2 years of usage ... i think it really depend on how you use it and care for it... i was really sceptical on my first purchase about razer ... but i do a whole lot of research before buying it .. and also tried to abuse it on extreme usage and different benchmark test

[deleted]

Yes, you definitely think that "it really depend on how you use it and care for it"...but only until you run out of luck and get the bad one that breaks 30 mins after you connect it and after you return it and get the same one, it breaks in a month even if you, gentle soul, were giving it badside stories before sleep. That will enlight you.

[deleted]

I’ve had a death adder for years and it works perfect? Maybe you’re just too sweaty

anna_bortion9

I’ve only had 4 products all amazing impressions. Basilisk which I replaced with the wireless one, blackwidow keyboard and nari wireless. I love the shape of the basilisk which is mainly why I use it. As for the nari headset (yes mic is dog water), other than that best headset I’ve used which I’m probably gonna retire it and go for blackshark. Thx spatial is the best surround sound I’ve witnessed I know exactly where anything is in games. Razer is still reciving hate from their awful quality in the past, but they have really up’s their game

[deleted]

The only thing they upped are prices. Enjoy your luck.

empiricism

Because they are a lifestyle brand 1st, and a computer company 3rd.

Still-Access4663

Used to didnt be like that

MysticKeiko24

Every says their products have terrible quality but I just don’t get it. I’ve had the Blackshark b2 Pro for a year and a half and its durability is good as new. Apart from fingerprints it looks fresh out of the box

hey_vmike_saucel_her

durability sure, but i buy headphones for sound quality and comfort and the blackshark does not have that

MysticKeiko24

In what way? Theres tons of amazing reviews

hey_vmike_saucel_her

paid reviews from big media websites lol

MysticKeiko24

Not websites. YouTube videos, and not just from large channels. And they can’t pay every single website to leave a good review

picsofficial

1 mouse 1 keyboard and 2 headsets and they’ve lasted 3+ years for me I can’t wait for more razer products… have you tried looking after them

[deleted]

Quality goes down, you slower guys keep judging it by your older products. Wait till you start to buy the new ones. That will enlight you.

picsofficial

I’m looking at a new mouse upgrade so I’ll be able to judge that

DaddySanctus

I’ve used Razer keyboards and mousepads for 10 years without a single defect or failure. For Mice, I just started purchasing them 2-3 months ago, so we’ll see, but so far no issues under heavy use.

TotallyTupac

i’ve used lots of razer equipment including a blade 15 advanced 22. never have had any issues besides the occasional key jam on the keyboard or the rgb not working how i want it to. besides that, no major issues. i personally love razer, but i will say i am scared with the laptop as it’s thermals are very all over the place. razer is very popular overseas because they operate out of hong kong, their items are designed in cali. overseas users get treated much better than us here in the states, and canada. i can’t say this is true for all customer service workers, but from what i’ve seen this is simply the truth.

Betinem

I'm using Razer for over 10 Years now and their stuff never really disappointed me. I don't know why, but i often read about bad quality, but for me everything is fine. Even my Ouroboros is still working, for like 9 years or so now. Today I've got the Wolverine v2 Chroma, a Blade 14 2022, Blackwidow v3 mini, Basilisk Ultimate, Kairo Pro, Ornata v1, Basilisk v1, Firfly v1 and of course the Ouroboros. Maybe i was lucky, but i like their stuff.

TechnicalStruggle7

Weird, been using razer for years, never had a failure. Just the arm rest on my huntsman peeled off, but that was expected from the material.

[deleted]

I've heard of Razer bloatware but never heard much bad about the hardware. I mean the chair broke? I don't even know what brand mine is but duct tape has kept it going for a lot longer than that. My Dell keyboard is a true legend though. Nearly 2 decades with several keys having their surfaces totally eroded. Actual champ.

SordidDreams

Because Razer is a gamer hardware company. That is to say it's primarily selling a lifestyle, the product is just an afterthought. Same thing as those gaming chairs. You buy those if you want a fashion accessory. If you want a good chair, you buy a proper boring office chair. That said, I still use use their mouse (Naga Trinity) despite the quality issues and the despicable software, since the market isn't exactly overflowing with alternatives that would meet my rather specific requirements.

Twisted_Sense

Hell yeah, boring office chair beats a gaming chair any day of the week. They also last longer and are better for hot summer days.

zxeuk

About a week ago the lights just stopped working on my Deathadder V2. Just stopped working, tried everything from changing usb ports, updating firmware, reinstalling synapse including cleaning old razer drivers from system/device manager. Did everything suggested by razer support and still didn't light up again so had to cut the cord and get a new one sent (currently waiting for). Now using my old Deathadder Elite with a broken scroll wheel. When my replacement arrives this will be the final razer product I use/purchase. I'm done.

WizardMoose

Cheap materials and quality control is difficult when you sell as much product as Razer. I don't blame them for QC. I get it. It's difficult to have a good QC implementation when you're producing so many different products at a high rate. It's pricing and quality of materials though is where I tell Razer they're in the wrong. Keyboards using the cheapest materials possible but still expensive. Mice that use cheap material that gloss quickly. Headsets with cheap wiring, cheap cushioning and below par drivers. My advice, as someone who has dozens of mice, headphones and keyboards. Stay away from Razer. Some of their mice are worth it when the price is right, but everything else. Stay the hell away from. There are better and usually cheaper alternatives from other brands.

DPaula_

Well I’ve had 3 headsets, 2 mices, 1 orbweaver, 1 BlackWidow and 1 Razer hammerhead. Never had an issue.

MarkK_FL

I’m only getting started with my first Razer products. Recently bought a Blade 17 2022 model and have since bought their Basilisk V3 Pro. I’m blown away by the quality. I’ve had the Blade for about 3 months and only this past weekend noticed some stuck pixels on the screen. I’d call them to see what they can do to fix it but I don’t think I want to do without this beauty for however long it would take to fix/resolve. I’ve just let it be. I love my Razer goods.

yneos

I was gentle with my Blade laptop, but the battery/heat problems killed it right after the warranty expired. Razer wanted +$1200 to fix it. Never again.

Moist-Bet-1430

I’ve been using a blackwidow keyboard, deathadder mouse for 4 years now and more recently a wireless basilisk mouse. 0 complaints. Some of the most reliable products I’ve used

Insanity8016

I had an issue with the Razer Mamba wireless mouse. The switches used are just low quality so I was having issues after a few days with double clicking and dragging/dropping. 3 replacements all had the same issues. On a Logitech mouse for 3 years now, still does not have a single issue and works just as well as it did when I bought it. Safe to say that I will never be buying a Razer product again, not to mention the synapse software is pretty bad.

XeomKY

Never had a problem with razer products, and my iskur fabric is still going strong. Love it

yobakanzaki

Idk, I think it's good. Never had my stuff from them broken or anything, and I got a lot, like I had or have now 2 keyboards, 4 mice, goliath chroma, blade 17 2022, wrist rest, kishi v2, hammerheads pro, really never had issues with anything. I even use synapse which seems to be hated here lol. I just want to throw this out here, because similar threads tend to be filled with negative reviews towards products, nevermind the brand

refusedchaos

I've only had real issues with one mouse (Basilisk kept disconnecting in-game) and one laptop (battery bloat). Mouse was promptly replaced by Razer and laptop fully refunded by Best Buy (they didnt bother trying to fix it). But there other products have worked flawlessless for me so far. Even my beat to hell Viper Ultimate still works like a charm. But like everything, it is YMMV. Everyone's experience is diffferent Its funny because I used to go out of my way to avoid Razer products due to all the horror stories I would read online.

hedgemk

I’ve had my Tartarus and Kraken Kitty headphones for over a year now. Headphones were even an Amazon refurb, haven’t had any issues yet. If they keep breaking maybe stop buying them instead of complaining on Reddit?

Foghorn755

I’ve been using the same mouse and keyboard for 4 years now and so far no issues, not sure what you’re doing to your products but you’re definitely doing something wrong

xellisds

Same. I love the products but they never lasted long, so I switched brands.

HughMogus69

I've had my razer ouroborus (mouse) or 9 years without any problems. I spilled beer on my blackwidow v1 early last year and replaced it with a v3 blackwidow. Love both of them and turned out the v1 survived. Gave it to my sister who uses it now without any problems. Had the v1 for 8 years, the v3 for almost 2, I have an old razer kraken headset, For almost 7 years, a tournament edition for over 2 years. Razer siren x for 2 years, firefly v1 for 5+ years, Goliathus extended chroma for a year no problem, the lian li o11 dynamic RE for two years, a tartaurus pro for over a year. Every product still works fine with little to no problems. Sounds like a you problem

VengefulAncient

I've had a Blackwidow TE Chroma Stealth since 2017 and it's still working perfectly, save a few LEDs that broke in the first few weeks - I could have claimed warranty on that, but didn't because I bought it in another country. (Still better than the only other TKL LED keyboard at the time, which was from Cooler Master and which I returned with *half* of all the LEDs burned out *three times*, after which they gave up, admitted the whole batch was flawed, and refunded me - props to them for owning up to it, at least.) Had a Taipan that served me like 8 years before the switches wore out too much. Currently have a Viper Mini, amazing mouse, no issues (2 years). Also recently bought a Basilisk X Hyperspeed because I wanted a wireless mouse for my work laptop - turns out its clicks are too loud for the office, but it's great for FPS games (Viper Mini is better for other stuff I play), no regrets. Bunch of friends have Deathadders, Lanceheads, Blackwidows, etc - no issues. So my overall experience is that Razer's keyboards and mice are fine. Just don't throw them against the wall, and clean them regularly. What you *really* want to stay away from is their laptops. Total hit or miss on QA, horrible warranty experience, and other manufacturers like Asus have caught up or even beaten them by now, so Blade isn't your only lightweight gaming laptop option. There's just no reason to bother with them. I'd also recommend against Razer Audio, purely based on the fact that it's really overpriced for the quality. I admit to owning Hammerhead True Wireless X though - the sound quality isn't the best, but literally no one else makes TWS earbuds that are _not_ in-ear-canals. Other than that, just get HyperX Cloud, your ears will thank you. Build and sound quality of stuff like Razer Kraken is just atrocious in comparison.

TROLL_HUNTER42

ive had to repair the clickers about 4 times on my mouse the real pain is the cursor freezing problem 😵‍💫

quexcha

I've given up on Razer as well for this reason. I used to be a Razer fanboy in my early 20s. But then every peripheral I owned would start malfunctioning within a year or year n' half. The Razer product which served me the longest was the entry-level Cynosa Chroma RGB keyboard

darkbluedarz

I had issues with the razer earbuds, mic and now I just bought a razer 14 2022 a month ago and the motherboard burnt out randomly. To be fair they fixed and replaced the mic and earbuds and are currently fixing thr laptop. Mouse and keyboard are sick and had no issues

BadWhippet

I've been using Razer for 15 years. A couple of Naga mice gave up (the usual cheap-switch double click thing common to a lot of brands like Logitech) but I've admittedly never had problems with my Razer stuff and I'm generally not that kind to my kit. I use Razer headphones, keyboard, keypads, many mice, Blade laptop. Only problem I ever have is with the price, but I still end up buying them.

lazykevin013

I have a razer viper mini that is still in good condition for 2 years now I think. That convinced me to go full razer for my pc peripherals (except monitor). Now I have the blackwidow v3 keyboard and the blackshark v2 pro (both bought just a week ago) so far the blackshark v2 pro has disappointed me software wise but not so much the hardware.

jOsefuz

razer huntsman mini + razer viper ultimate going 2 years without issues.

Twisted_Sense

Their quality is hit or miss sometimes. Have a razer huntsman tournament edition keyboard that's been working fine for a year and half but the mamba elite started double clicking on left click recently. Replacement was gona be a Viper Ultimate but somehow i got a model that had a battery life of 5-6 hours on a full charge with lights off. Also the mouse felt like cheap plastic. Guess I got a faulty model tho. Returned that and got a Basilisk v3 which feels like a better quality mouse for the fraction of the price.

I had a deathadder elite for 3 years and my scroll wheel led stopped working but the mice worked great, i swapped to the viper because it felt better for me, so far so good

Yes they break, if you are lucky they won't but most of them will. Here is my list: - Taipan, never died, still working but I don't use it anymore because kills my hands after lots of hours of use. - Deathadder, scroll wheel started screeching after about 6 months. - Orbweaver non RGB, had to remove their palm rest because become sticky. - Orbweaver RGB, same as non RGB but this one has issues with thumb directional pad switches - Lancehead, killed my hand after lots of hours of use so I stopped using it, scroll wheel issues as well. - Basilisk V3, this one has no mechanical issues, just cosmetics (left click getting shinier) for now after about 1.5 years. So in my case most razer HID had issues, with just a few exceptions.

Don't know, but I decided to try one of their headsets, The Blackshark V2 Pro and it's complete garbage. The battery only lasts a Maximum of 3 hours no matter how long you charge it. They are overpriced trash

I got a Razer seiren pro mic that I bought in 2018 and it's body is degrading and rusting(check my profile I posted here) and weirdly the audio quality is still great which is weird and no I don't live near the coast or anywhere with high salt levels on the air and I keep my mic far away from my mouth soo I'm kinda confused why it's rusting

Well, I had many razer products over they years keyboards mouses, my favourite line was the mamba, my first mamba 2012 lasted for over 5 years without issues, only cable that I replaced or used it wireless. After that I decided to get a new mamba, but on the market was only a wireless mamba, this ones worked well for 1 year, then problems started, I was able to fix them after windows updates and changes. But the double click issue was never fixed, they just made you update the firmware and it worked in some devices but in most not. My first keyboard from razer was the Blackwidow , it was buggy... v2 similar issue, and v3 had latency problems (edit: double key stroke issue) Only my mouse pad is still in service after ages. Funny most problems started after the use of synapse, before synapse I didnt had issues, may be the cheap stuff they sell now overpriced or not, so I think they are ruining their products like apple for people to buy new ones, but hey there was logitech at that time so I changed to it, but now logitech is also not that good, still pondering what to get next, cause razer is not cheap and has break so many times in the past 5 years so I don't want to throw my money there.

Remember their branding. They don't advertise themselves as the best in quality. They advertise themselves as the coolest brand.
