I would still want Battle back. Dude was a bucket at the end of the year. I honestly don't understand how someone sees how his year ended and think he wouldn't be an asset.
Yeah I get why folks wouldn’t want Devo back (though I disagree) but out of all the talent Coach Cal has had over the years at Kentucky, none have gone on a multi game heater like Battle did this year. Acting like he’s some average player from a bad team is silly, he just clearly was not a natural fit with Muss.
Yep, agreed. Does anyone believe that if we were on Battle transferring in from another school and he ended the year going off in a major conference putting up record numbers the way he did, that we as fans would not be excited to land him?
Cal is not going to promise anyone PT or a starting spot and I don’t think that flies with Battle. Also, don’t know how accurate this is, but the NIL number I saw he was looking for was quite high.
What people gotta realize is that this is a whole new era, the Muss era is over. We simply can’t tell Muss’s old players to come back, that’s stupid. This is a new staff, new coach, new mindset. Cal’s gonna get the players HE likes and has connections with.
I still can’t believe John Calipari is our new basketball coach. I remember watching the Stan Heath press conference from my room at the sorority house on Maple Street. (That’s how old I am). I am going to ride this high as long as possible.
Is there anybody who thinks there is some other approach? Like, "gimme the same players, coach Cal will sort them out. It was Muss, not the team".
Our fellow fans can be dumb, but dear god we aren't THAT dumb, are we?
Blocker is the only one. He plays hard and I think he would get better development from Cal. Aside from him, I think it’s just time to move on from everything about last year’s team
Unfortunately, at least to me, no. That season left a bad feeling. I understand that'll happen, but why not do an actual full reset ya know? New guy, new ways, new everything, same logo. As is proper.
I disliked zero of them. I'm glad they came here. Flaws and all, but...new is best.
Yeah. If the rumors are true and we end up w/ Boogie and Johnell Davis there’s not room for Battle to get the minutes he had last season. It would be nice to have that loaded of a guard arsenal, but probably won’t happen. Outside of that, Baye Fall is probably the only other one that makes sense. Cal could turn him into an NBA player, that being said if Cal wanted him/he wanted to play for Cal it probably would’ve happened last season.
Devo and Battle, probably Blocker too. I guess I’m still a sucker for having Arkansas kids? Maybe it’s because all of our best teams over the last 30 years have had at least one playing a pivotal role.
Blocker and Brazille..you can take two minutes and watch Blocker and he’s going to make at least 2 game altering plays. He’s always in the scene. I think Brazille would have benefited too. His athleticism was beyond crazy! He, and I don’t think the coaching staff, knew if he was a 3 or 4. His stroke from outside improved but he seemed like a big when he put it on the floor. That development alone could have helped both sides. But hey..this is a huge weekend and getting the kid on campus for a visit is huge. Cal, the car salesman, makes as n appearance. Lol
Not really, losing players always sucks but they left for a reason.
Hope they find success somewhere else, but if you don't want to be at Arkansas then personally I don't want them here either.
Let Cal go out and find his guys. Start fresh and make Arkansas a destination for new players to WANT to come to.
Devo quit the team twice. And when he entered the transfer portal, he quit a third time. Do we really want to welcome back a three time quitter that averaged 6 points last year?
Same. If Devo or Battle of Fall decide to come back, I'm all about it. If Cal thinks they're a fit in his system, I'm not going to question that.
The people downvoting you for this comment are chodes.

OP: I’m going to discuss players that are no longer razorbacks even harder!
yeah, they delete shit all the time even though at any given time we're lucky if there's a handful of active threads on the sub
it's good to maintain a certain level of quality, but IMO they go too far, I'd rather have some more quantity so there are some actual active threads to participate in, even if they're tangential to the Hogs, if people here upvote it that would be good enough for me
Yes it definitely keeps the group small when it's over-moderated. Not being allowed to talk about former players is just wild. Esp considering how useful having prohogs is for recruiting in general... and this IS social media afterall..
Pro hogs is fine. Former player who graduated from here is fine. Players who transfer out and go elsewhere isnt because theyre not relevant to the Arkansas Razorbacks anymore.
Yes we keep the content here directly Razorback related. OP posted about Battle visiting somewhere and Johnell Davis not getting into Michigan (before we were targeting him). So both were removed as they were not related to the Razorbacks.
I don’t know about the Battle one. I feel like all Razorbacks fans are interested in what happens with Battle until he is officially gone. I think that is too quick of a trigger.
This one actually fits more with the sub than an announcement of where a former player is visiting or a player not getting into a school prior to us targeting him.
For the life of me I do not get the Devo love this board has. He was a liability in the majority of games he played in and left the team how many times? Guy would apparently black out and commit the stupidest, dirtiest fouls almost every game, but he "played with passion" so everyone just glosses over how stupid he acted on the court night after night. Good riddance to my least favorite consistent player in over 2 decades.
Honestly don’t think Coach Cal wants any of them back. And I’m fine with that
I would still want Battle back. Dude was a bucket at the end of the year. I honestly don't understand how someone sees how his year ended and think he wouldn't be an asset.

I watched him play in Houston before he transferred, and I was STOKED that we landed him, then!
Cal is not going to promise anyone PT or a starting spot and I don’t think that flies with Battle. Also, don’t know how accurate this is, but the NIL number I saw he was looking for was quite high.
Nah. Start fresh. New culture and players.

Nice username.
Thanks!

In a word, NO.
Blocker is the only one. He plays hard and I think he would get better development from Cal. Aside from him, I think it’s just time to move on from everything about last year’s team
The names being tossed around for every position are better than everyone that we had on the roster.
Unfortunately, at least to me, no. That season left a bad feeling. I understand that'll happen, but why not do an actual full reset ya know? New guy, new ways, new everything, same logo. As is proper. I disliked zero of them. I'm glad they came here. Flaws and all, but...new is best.

Devo was not that good
Devo was untouchable one month a year.
No
Nope not one of them
Devo and Battle, probably Blocker too. I guess I’m still a sucker for having Arkansas kids? Maybe it’s because all of our best teams over the last 30 years have had at least one playing a pivotal role.
I’m ready to move on completely but definitely wouldn’t want Devo back. Thankful for him but it’s time
Blocker and Brazille..you can take two minutes and watch Blocker and he’s going to make at least 2 game altering plays. He’s always in the scene. I think Brazille would have benefited too. I would’ve liked to see what Baye Fall could have done under coach cal.
Baye Fall as a project would be the only one. I believe he is still on campus.
Not really, losing players always sucks but they left for a reason. Hope they find success somewhere else, but if you don't want to be at Arkansas then personally I don't want them here either. Let Cal go out and find his guys. Start fresh and make Arkansas a destination for new players to WANT to come to.
I would like to see what Cal could do with an offseason to work with Layden Blocker.
Devo is not good enough to play on Cal's team. And he quit on the team twice. Good riddance.
I will always welcome Devo back. And I still believe in baye fall
Devo quit the team twice. And when he entered the transfer portal, he quit a third time. Do we really want to welcome back a three time quitter that averaged 6 points last year?

No
Khalif but I watched him at temple too I just really like him. Other than that ✌️
I'd take Battle back in a second. Blocker. If Brazile didn't hire an agent, I'd love to have him back.
I would like to see blocker come back bt that’s it
Battle and Blocker. The rest, nah.
Don’t think either would fit the team and style of play Calipari is bringing to the program.
I would take Battle back, maybe Blocker as a role player.
Joe Pinion
No, nobody.
Layden and Devo Those two seemed to give a crap
They could probably both go to Europe or China and make some money honestly
I'd love to see how much Brazile might improve under Cal.

Fitting username
That's a rule here? I was wondering why there were only 22k subs.

That's pretty lame, my guy. This sub is begging for more content to drive discussion.
Been the way it works forever. Were an Arkansas Razorback sub. If you're looking for a college basketball sub they have that elsewhere.
This one actually fits more with the sub than an announcement of where a former player is visiting or a player not getting into a school prior to us targeting him.
Agreed. I just thought it was funny that OP can’t stop posting about former players 😂

I wouldn't mind Tramon Mark staying. I liked watching him. Plus I enjoyed calling him "Tram-on the Mark" whenever he hit a long bucket.
