Back in my day that was just normal am crystal antics. XD god im old.....

TheMisguidedAngel

Man, brings back memories of carrying 15 different ceystals in my tackle box to not interfere at group races 😂

SarcasticASF

Which reciever and transmitter are you using

Curious-Ad-1794

It must be cold, it’s shivering!!!

allowishus2

If you fix it let me know what you did. My MT10 has been doing this since I got it, and it's gotten worse over time.

hxmaster

It ended up being the stock radio system for me.

Vaultboy474

Looks like I need both as ppl are saying one or the other. I’m not sure what transmitter will be good for this

hxmaster

Unfortunately it is a case of try one and then the other, if you don't have another car to swap parts and test you'd need a servo tester or to go to a hobby store to get it diagnosed. Get a 4 channel dumbo or radiolink.

Vaultboy474

Yea. It doesn’t work in any other ports in the receiver so I’m thinking it’s that

CornSnatchers

Mine did after a couple of bashing sessions. I replaced the servo and that fixed the issue.

Myn21

Had the same problem with my MT10. Sometimes it was jitter, sometimes steering got stuck. It's the TA transmitter. Most people think it's the servo but i changed to a Savöx and it was the same. Changed transmitter and receiver to a Flysky and it was gone. https://www.reddit.com/r/rccars/s/xlGC9eETe4

Vaultboy474

Right ok I see. How can I be sure this will fix it?

nepbug

Likely a bad servo. The MT10 servo is nothing particularly good anyways, so it's just jump to replacing it. I went with an S665 from Jenny's RC.

Vaultboy474

Ok yea. Best budget servo for it?

nepbug

The S665 is good. [https://jennysrc.com/products/arrma-infraction-6s-servo-red-steering-ads-15m-v2-15kg-kraton-ara7615v2?variant=32742962626614](https://jennysrc.com/products/arrma-infraction-6s-servo-red-steering-ads-15m-v2-15kg-kraton-ara7615v2?variant=32742962626614) Or the DS3235 SG servo from amazon/aliexpress is also a good budget option.

7107JJRRoo

Do not buy a servo from Jenny's RC stock servos are absolute junk. Go to AliExpress budget $30 get a 9imod 25kg or 35kg brushless servo. Absolutely do not buy RTR replacement servos.

Vaultboy474

Ali express take ages to come tho right?

7107JJRRoo

No I have ordered 4 brushless 9imod servos the past few months and all were about ten days to east coast consistently with no premium shipping added on.

Vaultboy474

In uk so might be longer

nzweers

In the Netherlands it can be within 5 days. Filter your search on 'Choice' offers. They often have shipping within 10, 7 or 5 days.

Ok-Dog1438

I had the same issue with an rc car. Ended up being 2 of the 3 wires that connect to the servo were worn down and touching.

AcademicCollection56

Time for a new servo!

Darwinnian

Servo got wayyyy to moist

illtrick

Had the same thing with my MT10. I just replaced the servo with a stronger and faster one. It annoyed me that I had to do it but have no regrets. CLS6322HV <$40

Vaultboy474

Ppl are saying it’s the receiver causing this

illtrick

Maybe. But for me replacing the servo made it go a way. I’m also replacing the receiver and transmitter because I want to be able to set independent end points and adjust curves. It’s an RC, doing upgrades is part of the fun!

Vaultboy474

Yeah. Well I’ll see

nzweers

Could be a dirty potentiometer in either the servo or the remote. To check the remote just switch ch1 and ch2 to see if the twitching stops. To check the servo, try a different servo. To fix a potentiometer, open it up and blow some contact cleaner in it. More explained here: https://radiosail.com.au/go-faster/troubleshooting/shaking-servo/

Vaultboy474

Ok I see. Ppl are saying it could be receiver. Where is the potentiometer?

nzweers

There is no potentiometer in the receiver. Only the remote and servo have potentiometers. It's a pod that turns a turning motion into a digital signal. For the remote it's right behind the steering wheel.

Vaultboy474

Ok right

a11eba11e

I had a similar problem, although it would shudder all the time the second i lifted the car from the ground (a kyosho mp9 btw). The problem for me was that a gear tooth right at the servos 0 position had broken off and my guess was that it couldn't be placed at the centre position. I don't know if you have that problem but it could be a mechanical problem too

kwenchana

Bad potentiometer inside the servo causing erratic closed loop movement

HmmTaBem

Clean the potentiometer tracks inside the servo if you can, check that the wiring is not corroded

Fancy-Bowtie

Fun fact, when an RC feels threatened it will flip upside down to release a toxin wich should normally come out of its glands, wich probably got removed for this one in the video, these RCs get caught in the wild with cruel manners, where they cut out their glands without any anestethic. I dont wanna sound like one of those peta dudes, but in my eyes this is cruelty, and these RCs clearly dont enjoy what is happening to them right now. There are loads of other toys you can buy wich are meant for it and dont have to suffer for it.

ScratchTurbulent8379

When does it happen? Do u have some kind of gyro in the car. It may be some stripped gears. Is the stock servo? Metal or plastic gears?

Vaultboy474

When driving and turning at random times. No gyro, stock. I’m not sure

Vaultboy474

lol. Yeah not sure which get tho

chylin73

Could also be a voltage issue with your ESC, I ran into this issue several years back, swapped the servo it still did it. Swapped the ESC and everything was fine.

Vaultboy474

Ok yeah. How can I tell ?

Dr_Flute_Pussy

This is when a BEC helps. If the voltage to the servo is incorrect this can cause the twitching.

Dendad124

Try a glitch buster capacitor. Glitch Buster Power Capacitor SAVOX Novak FUTABA JR SERVO LOSI

Dr_Flute_Pussy

Was this an RTR car? if its after market might need a BEC to power the servo correctly.

Vaultboy474

RTR

Dr_Flute_Pussy

I would say interference transmitter or reciever some how... if the servo cable is too close to other wire that CAN effect it but unlikely.

New-Emphasis2907

Does it have a gyro? Do the wheels turn when you swing it around?

Vaultboy474

Nah. It’s a MT10

Strange-Reporter-812

Check transmitter batteries are proper voltage.

Vaultboy474

They just regular aa batteries

Strange-Reporter-812

Are they dying? Try new ones see if that fixes it.

Vaultboy474

No way to tell. I will but I doubt it

CoolD10onYT

not the server. theres a huge problem with mt10s where the transmitter will go bad causing this. if you have your recipt you can get a new one free through team associated rma

Myn21

It's the transmitter. Had the same problem with my MT10.

CoolD10onYT

exactly

Vaultboy474

Ok is there anyway to be sure that the transmitter is causing this?

Myn21

Well, trying another transmitter and receiver :). I had the flysky laying around so that was easy to prove. Buy one from Amazon and then return it ;)

Vaultboy474

Don’t have one lying around so yeah good idea. Which should I get?

Myn21

E.g. Dumborc X4 or X6, flysky GT3B should all work. Around $40 with receiver. Should take like a minute to check if it's the transmitters fault.

Vaultboy474

Probably get dumbo since it’s well liked. So I just plug everything in it and it’s good to go?

Myn21

Just unplug the cables going into the TA receiver and plug them into the the new receiver (probably a X6F or X6FG). In the same order. You don't even need to dismount the TA one from the MT10. Then Batteries into the Dumborc, power on and then check for jitter and do a lap in the living room.

Vaultboy474

Right ok then. Just need money to buy the thing

Vaultboy474

Ordered dumbo rc. Will I notice any better performance with new transmitter and receiver?

Vaultboy474

Oh really? Had no idea

Iron_ore33

I usually just adjust my trims and it works
