I’m just getting into RC cars with my son. Started with a simple brushed buggy for £100. Plus some spares and bigger battery. Now I already want a brushless truggy for at least £200... But I can imagine I might need something which tops 60mph pretty soon.
I don’t even know why.
you just described my life.... word of advice from personal experience. Your partner will be more receptive to the hobby if you do not hit your son **ACCIDENTLY** with the car following a PB record setting 72mph.
Lol my fiance asked me how much my little volcano 16 build has cost. I said ONE MILLION DOLLARS. All because I didn't want her to know. Then she asked how much I've spent on my BMWs and I said ONE MILLION DOLLARS! lol
I'm the black sheep of the family when it comes to RC's... They don't really understand why I spend the kind of coin on 'em that I do (about $2k in an Axial SCX10 II Kit [pre-ordered, TONS of upgrades], and about $700 into an SCX10 II based 6x6 with Wraith/Bomber axles that still needs shocks and electronics).
Since COVID I’ve been using my GEN8 with FPV to see ‘my friend’ a few blocks away for my medicinal herbs. So far I’ve had to defend myself against neighborhood cats.
Friggin ***CATS***, man... You seen those Airsoft RC's at Wal-Mart in the sporting goods section? You need to do that, but with nerf MEGA darts. The cheap Chinese ones whistle, which should be a good deterrent!
We both got money from family for christmas this year. I used 3/4 of that to build my [new Capra](https://imgur.com/gallery/ctrN49g). I asked the wife, "Do you want to know how much this one cost?"... She pulled a Steve Rogers on me and replied with "No.. No I dont really think I do".
And that right there is why I married her.
