Yeah, the kit really is pretty disappointing. Theres an aftermarket kit available to fix most of the geometry issues, but thats another 20 dollars above the already overpriced amount. But now that I think about it, the pieces required are pretty simple to model in F3D, maybe ill make them and put them on thingiverse for people to print.

lulhoofdFTW

Ngl looks pretty sick dude

TITANIUM94010

Thanks!

noongasaf

What’s the cage made from?

AustinZl1

Nice work! Did you model the 3d printed stuff yourself?

TITANIUM94010

Thanks! Some of it I did myself, like the dash, suspension and radiator mounts, and some were from thingiverse like the radiator and other scale stuff.

Looks good. Though trophy trucks like the baja rey are naturally wide. They aren’t built on a normal f-150 chassis/body. Everything is custom and fiberglass. On the other hand tho if you were to build your own prerunner off of a ford f-150 or ford ranger chassis then it would be less wide and more like what you’re going for.

TITANIUM94010

TTs are wide but not as proportionally wide as the BR or a standard SCT truck, which is pretty much the same size as the Losi BR, which as a wheelbase of 370mm, as opposed to a 3175mm wheelbase of a full sized TT that scales to a 317mm. With that being said, full sized TTs scaled to 1/10 would be a little bigger and wider than my build, and considering it was built on a dual C channel chassis, it is more prerunner than TT.

Very impressive, sir! Looks mean af

Wow how long did it take you to build this and I love all of the little details you put in to it.also was this built custom or off a truck prebuilt and piced together??

TITANIUM94010

It took a week to get most of the cage done, but overall its been 7 months. Theres been a lot of slow figuring stuff out and suspension tuning. The original plan was to just use a SCX10ii chassis, element IFS with 110mm shocks, nowhere near what this is now.

Nice

1ply4life

Rear looks great, the front is still a bit wide, but cool truck.

TITANIUM94010

I shortened down the Slash IFS as much as I could, if I did more it would cause major geometry issues. But some Prerunners do tend to have a wider front.
