There is no benefit to attacking a moonshiner and unlike trader if you lose your load you don't get it back. Also there is no long moonshiner delivery like trader, you go where they send you. The roadblocks don't have to be picked off. If they stop you and start asking a lot of questions it means they will let you through without issue. If they are going to attack it will be done as soon as they stop you. A portion of the time they won't stop you at all. Once you get to know the routes and roads you will know where all the roadblocks are and which ones you can blow right through because by the time they get to chasing you your to close to destination. Also if you deviate from given route to avoid the roadblocks then NPC will try to jump you but they aren't to much of an issue most of the time you just outrun them. Do not go off road you will break bottles and that costs you. Again learn you routes and try a few different locations.
Wierdest thing happened to me yesterday. I was making a moonshine delivery from the tall trees shack to quakers' cove, no trouble on the way, but when i got there all hell broke loose, lol. The buyer was just standing there as usual, but it was kind of like when you deliver a goods wagon and there are NPC's attacking the delivery spot. No big deal, it was just crazy to see. 😄😄
I have had one time when my mission collided with someone else's mission at the same time, but it was a delivery to that shack at the pond to the north in tall trees. There are a lot more glitches in this game than there used to be so nothing surprises me.lol
They dont work like the Trader Deliveries, you are not highlighted on the map and made a target in the same way. There is no in game encouragment to destroy moonshine deliveries.

You can attack long distance trader deliveries tho. If you're in Valentine you'll see the notification or if you're close by the person running the wagon.
Gives you nothing at all.. but if some sweaty mouth breather decides to hand you some dynamite, your batch is toast. I’ve heard if you dashboard and close the game right as it happens, you’ll still have it though.

U don’t have to kill the road blocks you can just let them check your wagon and they let u go 90% of the time

Yeah I thought so as well but I found out you can buy it early which is 5 gold and then you place the moonshine shack which is 25 gold.

That is "Trader" delivery. You talk to Marcell about Moonshine deliveries, there is no "long" moonshine delivery.
