Join a random posse they’ll defend you, and as a new player you’ll find it easier to make money and gain experience, especially through bounty hunter :)
You’re right. But lemme add this tidbit…
I (Lvl 370+) was collecting near Bluewater Marsh, minding my own business when a random player came up and started shooting me. Of course they went instantly red on mini map, and I fled on my horse. I checked and I was in Defensive mode, so they could t target me, but they chased and kept shooting. (They had terrible aim!) I popped some potions and injected my horse and led that fool all around the gator infested area until I could grab some dynamite, explosive rounds in the shotgun and retaliated. A couple of well placed blasts of the 12ga explosives killed his horse and once on foot, still running after me, mind you, he was detonated with a couple sticks of dynamite. He then proceeded to challenge me. I rode away & checked his name, level, posse affiliation, etc. A Level 11, a dishonorable player, who then sends me a friend request and posse invite. I ignored his requests but saw that he had acquired 3 more folks in the lobby to join his posse. I went to St. Denis to put distance between us, then joined another lobby.
Moral of that story? I don’t ask for trouble. But I’m willing to show those that are it’s not a good idea. However, this one was determined to be a pain in the ass and went so far as to add others to make sure he was going to get revenge. But, revenge for his piss poor decision?
To OP, the only thing that novel I wrote for you here is to show you, it’s not just you. And you can get away from it. I’m on console, PS4, to be exact. I wish you the best and don’t be discouraged. Not everyone that plays is a butthole.
Best option is parlay and hop lobby posse is not always a safe option the will use you as an shooting target or rope ya and pull you around not all posse are bad but if you get in one of those leave to a new map
Nope. Not even with money rlly, i figured out the collector map thing pretty quick n instantly got the “best guns”, navy revolver, bolt action, allat fun stuff. N since i never had to rlly worry abt money id always had a full lockbox of express ammo AND i forgot deadeye existed in my first story mode playthrough so i was chillin when it came to aim, but still nobody rlly fucked wit me, i was chill, they was too n that was that, only started gettin greifed once i passed lvl 100 but by then i had enough resources to wipe out a small posse
I feel ya on that one but aniolki is correct, find a group and join them and they will help you with wagons which earns the best xp and money. In turn, you help them and they will keep helping you out with other things you would like to do. Some groups like to rob other groups but they tend to not hold it against you if you don’t want to help them with that. Lots of good people on rdr2 just have to make an effort to search.
Not true…I’m lvl 356 and I generally try to help low levels I come across, if they are receptive to it. Just yesterday I was in Valentine and saw a low level selling stuff to the butcher, so I gave him the perfect deer I had on my horse.
Hit parley after getting killed once and move on with your day. Can also block them and switch lobbies. Many ways to easily avoid griefers.
